Maybelline Superstay 30H Concealer

My concealer was almost empty when this turned up so I was very keen to get stuck in.

The packaging was a bit more luxe than previous Maybelline concealers I've used, although it is plastic I like the rectangle shape of the product, it makes it feel a bit more fancy.

The wand is a sort of paddle shape, and the consistency of the concealer I would put at a medium consistency - not super thick but not sheer either. The product does however have a bit of a paint like fragrance.

In terms of wear - I can't comment on the 30 hour claim as I respect my skin too much - but I did find this concealer to wear very well. It blended in nicely under my eyes using both just a finger, or the end of my beauty sponge. It wore well throughout the day and didn't crease under my eyes which is rare! It did give a nice brightening effect under the eyes. This concealer is perfect for daily wear as it lasts on the skin well while feeling light and comfortable.

I was so excited to try this concealer out, thanks BR. This is yet another great concealer from Maybelline but with the staying power we’ve all been searching for. The packaging is really nice and looks like it belongs to a much more expensive brand. It clicks when you shut it so you know it won’t leak in your bag. The applicator isn’t my favourite as it doesn’t pick up a lot of product but it’s easy enough to get more as it can easily be built up. I would say this was a medium coverage concealer but almost undetectable on the skin. It blends really well with fingers or a sponge and is very long wearing. I had it on for at least 15 hours and it looked exactly the same as it did when I applied it under my eyes. I have one very watery eye and this didn’t affect it at all. Unfortunately for me it isn’t the most flattering under my ageing eyes but it’s the best concealer for covering up redness and blemishes. I wear it on days when I’m not wearing foundation and it makes my skin look so even and clear. This is definitely going to be a permanent fixture in my makeup drawer.

I was really excited to try the Maybelline Superstay 30H Concealer as I have dark circles under my eyes that always seem to be there. I found this concealer to be lightweight and perfect for this particular area. The tube that it comes in is very attractive and the application wand makes it very simple to use.

I used this concealer on freshly washed skin over moisturizer and both alone, under foundation, and over bb cream. Under the eyes, the concealer went on really smoothly and gave good coverage without being too heavy. Because it is quite a light concealer I found that it didn't cover up my freckles and spots as well as some other concealers. In saying that the Maybelline concealer was much better over fine lines, not clogging them up as other concealers can do. Because it is more lightweight it feels lovely on the skin and I would think it would be good for contouring without feeling like you have many layers of makeup covering your skin.

The application was very simple and it seemed to stay on really well. A big bonus is the price point. Overall this is a fabulous lightweight concealer that is great for under-eye dark circles!

This is definitely a lightweight concealer, as described. It had an almost borderline water texture, so it was incredibly easy to blend into the skin and certainly did not feel cakey in any way while wearing. I do think the coverage could be bulked up a little bit, I found my dark circles were still quite noticeable, and my blemishes weren't covered amazingly. You can certainly layer it to build up the coverage, though. I didn't notice any major creasing under the eye, so it seems to not dry out majorly while wearing. The main thing I'm not particularly a fan of is the wand applicator, as they can't be sanitized/cleaned, but that's not an exclusive issue to this brand or product.

Overall I think it's a nice, blend-able, and light concealer, but I probably wouldn't use it for anything that requires heavy coverage. It's a good choice for natural everyday makeup.

I like to keep my makeup simple for the day. Usually just BB/foundation and if I feel like it then some mascara.....but now that I have trialled this concealer it has been added to my daily routine!

I have fair skin so got the shade 15 which I'm pretty sure is ivory.  It comes in a cute little tube with a wand that has a flexible foot.  I simply get a small amount on the wand and dab it under my eyes and on any spots then I either pat it in lightly with my finger or the tip of my RT sponge.

I find that it melts into my skin beautifully, doesn't cake up and best of all it covers my spots and under eye circles nicely! Once it is blended in I apply my foundation and it sits well on top and I am left with beautiful looking skin that looks flawless but at the same time it looks natural.

It doesn't crease at all or break down under my foundation. It's definitely lightweight and it lasts on my skin all day. I'm really loving this concealer and I would definitely purchase this myself. Great trial!

When I was selected for this trial team I was already very happy with the concealer I was using (a Beauty Review find which I've been repurchasing!) but the Maybelline Superstay 30H Concealer blew it out of the water.

In sleek white packaging the Maybelline Superstay 30H Concealer has a smaller sponge tip than others I have used which makes it more precise.

The colour I'd selected (with the help of a foundation matching site) was quite different to my previous favourite concealer which concerned me, but this absolutely worked better. It blends in nicely with a beauty blender and vanishes under my foundation whilst thoroughly covering redness, dark circles, blemishes and hyperpigmentation.

I've not tested the product's duration claims but it certainly is breathable and lasts all day whilst not drying out and cracking. I think it's incredibly well priced and of excellent being a high street brand. I'll be sticking with this one.

I have really enjoyed trialing the maybelline concealer. After watching a lot of videos on how to apply, I used it on top of a base layer of foundation and dabbed it with my brush rather than used a sweeping motion. Also finished with a little more foundation. The areas I applied it were definitely brighter and my under eye area looked fresh which was great. I will definitely continue using this as part of my daily makeup routine.

I have been impressed with this product. I really like the sporty looking packaging and the applicator with the flexible head. The colour I got was a great match for my skin, and I got good coverage on blemishes on my chin/cheeks etc, but found this wasn’t so great for under my eyes as the colour was too light and wasn’t quite right. It does stay on longer than other concealers I’ve used, but due to my oily skin it doesn’t stay for 30 hours. The product has a nice texture - not too thick or runny, and a pleasant smell.

I ordered this in shade number 10 Ivory. I have really changed my ways and have not been doing a full face of foundation, opting instead to use a bb cream and concealer where I need it. This concealer is a perfect match for my skin tone, not too yellow or too pink, it’s perfect. I’ve been dabbing it on with the applicator around my nose, under my eyes and anywhere that there is a bit of redness, and blending it out with a damp sponge. It lasts all day, actually. I’m really impressed! I have also used it alongside my foundation and it wears amazingly well. The only thing I didn’t initially like was the applicator - it’s flat, and can really only be used on the flat sides, so in the beginning I’d pull it out without looking and end up wiping the narrow edge on my face! But it’s a minor complaint and I’ll get used to it! I love the finish of this and the fact that it matches my bare skin SO WELL!

I really loved this concealer! It was a lot different to how I thought it would be - I have found most concealers have quite a thick texture, however this concealer was thin, but simultaneously quite high coverage. I found that it blended with my skincare and other cream products beautifully. Fortunately the colour selection was perfect! It was great at spot concealing, but I also really liked this around my eyes. I'm so pleased to have found a new fave and would absolutely recommend this concealer to friends.
