I have recently started gettng into nail polish and have started up a wee collection. And I can proudly say amongst my collection I have a beautiful OPI nail polish in the shade First Class Desires. I picked it up from postie plus for about $10 which I thought was a huge bargain.
It's a beautiful dark purple with shimmery gold specks. It applies absolutely flawlessly. I only need one coat to get my desired look as the pigmentation of this OPI nail polish is incredible! It applies evenly so there's no need to reapply in areas to cover any streakyness.
I find that it dries fairly quickly, compared to my cheap nasty nail polishes so you don't have to sit around for ages waiting for it to dry. We all know how boring and time consuming that can be so it's awesome not to have that problem with this OPI nail polish.
It does last a decent amount of time on my nails especially if I apply a base coat and a top coat. It will start to chip around day 5/6 but that's to be expected and it doesn't bother me too much. On my toes however, it can last upto 2/3 weeks which I find completely odd, perhaps it's because we're constantly using our hands? I'm not too sure but the staying power is rather impressive.
I woule really love to expand my OPI collection as I am thoroughly impressed with my first ever shade. They have such a huge variety of colours which is really awesome to see. There's shades for everyones personal preference, wether you like pastels, glitters, bolds, they pretty much have it all.
What I love about OPI nail polishes is the huge variety of colours they come in and their fun limited editions. They give a full colour pay off with just one or two coats (for darker colours) The brush is wide enough to make a full nail application with just three swipes.
Sadly I have yet to meet an non-gel nail polish that doesn't chip on me as soon as I look at it. OPI is one of the better ones though and lasts forever on my toe nails.
What's no so great is that these polishes don't seem to store as well as other brands and go thick and gloopy fairly quickly or dry up altogether. For this reason I prefer the minis that you get in the limited edition gift sets. These have teeny brushes though so are a bit trickier to apply.
