Revitanail by Manicare Nail Strengthener Review

When I first started using this my nails were incredibly brittle and had to be kept short so that they wouldn't break off so much. About half way through the program I noticed a significant reduce in nail chipping or breakages and having finished the program my nails feel so much stronger and look overall nicer. I can't say that I noticed if it caused my nails to grow any faster but they are currently longer than I've been able to have them for quite a long time. I did notice that towards the end the skin around my nails was beginning to look a bit dry, but that was fixed by a bit of moisturizer and cuticle oil. Overall I found this product to work really well and I would definitely use it again.

Ever since I got acrylic nails once, my nails have been extremely sad and I have been forced to keep them short up until now. They were ridged and thin because of all the buffing and filing, and my cuticles were very dry and didn't look nice at all. I just wanted my normal strong, flexible nails back, and fast. So when I saw this opportunity, I figured I may as well give this nail strengthener a shot, and I am very impressed! I was worried that this strengthener would make my nails too hard, and therefore brittle, or that once I removed it my nails would still feel weak - these were both not the case, and my nails grew a large amount in only a few weeks. I am in love with my nails now, and have had no breaks, snags, or peels. You can find this nail strengthener at Farmers or pharmacies nationwide, and it retails for $34.99 for 30 ml and $18.99 for 15 ml.

This nail strengthener comes in a typical nail polish bottle, I received the 15 ml size but the 30 ml size is quite a lot larger. I personally think the 15 ml size is better value, as it wouldn't get all goopy before you have the opportunity to use it all up. The brush is typical, and I found it easy to get good coverage with just a few swipes. The polish dries very fast, however once you have built up a few layers it dries a bit slower and you have to be careful not to dent your nails. I liked the shiny finish it left my nails with, very natural looking and definitely to my personal preferences. After a few layers it does get a bit cloudy, and sometimes yellows slightly, but to fix this just remove the strengthener and reapply.

I found that this product left my nails feeling strong but not so hard they became brittle, which is a huge plus and I have heard that this is a downside to many other nail strengtheners out on the market. When I removed the strengthener, the strong feeling didn't go away, my nails felt a little dehydrated but that was simply due to the harsh ingredients in nail polish remover and to resolve this I simply used some of Revitanail's Nourishing Oil, left it to soak in to my nails for a while, then reapplied. This also caused my nails to grow very fast - I was shocked! Usually they don't grow anywhere near that fast. I was very happy with the results over the 4 week trial period (and have uploaded my pictures along with a before and after picture on the photowall).

I would definitely recommend this if you suffer from dry, weak nails that refuse to grow. My nails felt strong but still flexible, and grew very fast and long (I also had zero breaks)! At the end of the trial period I had lots of product left in the bottle, so even though it may seem pricey, it's really not a bad price and it is certainly a very high quality product that is effective. I finally have long, strong natural nails - I will never be using acrylics or other fake nails again! Thanks Beauty Review!

I like this nail treatment, although I confess to not having the power to stick at it, so I don't see all the benefits. Firstly, the bottle is larger than a normal polish, so you get a lot of product. Unfortunately I have been spoilt by larger brushes from Sally Hansen, so now I find this brush is ok, but could be better. Due to using the polish daily, the top does get a bit clogging with dry polish. (see tip). When applied, nails immediately look better - it hides dryness, and generally looks as good as any clear nail polish for the first few days. At about day 3 (4th layer of polish) I get a bit over it. I struggle with that much polish on my nails, so I pick at them (naughty Naughty), then I will forget to put more on and they start to look weird (kind of scaley?) so I remove the polish at this point - if my nails are lucky, I might have made it to day 5. and I start again. Nails definitely improve, however I'm skeptical as to whether this is me not putting other things on my nails, providing a protective layer against dish-washing liquid etc, and for the first few days at least, treating them with a bit more care. Also, the 3 weeks, allow growth to happen - so the less healthy nails get filed off. Overall, does it really matter what is working here? my nails are healthier looking from using this treatment.

For this stuff to work, you have to be committed to following the specific directions; 2 coats to start, an extra coat on top each day following, the on the seventh day remove it completely. You have to repeat this cycle for 28 days... there is also the optional extra of massaging oil into your cuticles daily.

Let's be clear, my nails were in a terrible state due to my addiction to gel nails, I'm addicted to gel nails because I'm extremely lazy with painting my nails, so this kind of nail schedule is pretty hard core. I tried my hardest to follow the program, but will admit I missed the odd day.

Usually when I remove my gel polish, if I don't re-paint them right away they start to chip and break. However, even with my poor scheduling, this nail strengthener really did work. I've been gel free for three weeks now and my nails are long and strong.

So yes, it does do exactly what it says, but it is extremely high maintenance!

I was really happy when I got selected to trail Revitanail nail strengthener. This product definitely worked wonders for my nails. I have really week nails and it takes forever to grow and getting gel done does make it worse. Revitanail comes is a decent 30ml size bottle. You have a nice clear shine on your nails after application. It dried out easily and didn't really become to thick as I had thought it would get due to the number of reapplication. I have used this for the past 2 and a half weeks and OMG this product has done exactly what it says it will do. I applied this everyday for 5 days the first week and took it offthe 6th day and waited 2 days to apply them again for the second week. However I did forget to apply it everyday the second week so I did miss a few days in between, nevertheless the results are still amazing. My nails look and feel healthy and has grown without chipping or splitting. My nails stopped spilting after the first week of using this. The on,y negative for me was the strong smell while you apply the polish but it's nothing major and the smell does not linger. I would definitely recommend Revitanail. A real treat for damaged nails.

I was so excited to be chosen to review this product as my nails are usually so weak, they always flake and peel or break easily and I don't get to have a lot of length in them. I have tried another nail strengthener before and it didn't seem to make any difference to my nails. The Revitanail Nail Strengthener however made a huge difference for me. It was easy to apply and uncomplicated. It doesn't smell bad and dries very quickly so it was easy to just apply it before bedtime and before using the cuticle oil, as I normally would apply a hand and nail cream or oil then anyway. I noticed an improved appearance just from applying the product so that was nice as I had just removed gel polish and even though I had it soaked off it had peeled back some of the top layer of my nail. It is a clear polish that say it is a "salon strength 28 day intensive treatment program to repair soft, weak and damaged nails." You apply two coats the first day and then one coat once a day for 5 days. After 7 days you remove it using nail polish remover and then repeat the process 3 times before taking a rest. I noticed by about day 5 the coats were starting to yellow and chip and looked a bit yuck so it was a good thing I was to take it off on day 7. I didn't have any breaks or peels in my nails for the first 10 days which is unheard of for me. I already had a decent length only from having had gel polish on prior to using this and this was maintained well by the Revitanail Strengthener. The second round I did have a few breaks and snags but my nails have not been peeling as they usually would. They feel stronger, not as weak and bendy and they look healthy and smooth. I am really happy with this product, it works for me and I will continue to use it and recommend it to others. After using it for a month I can hardly tell I have used any from the bottle so it will last a long time and is great value for money.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial this nail strengthener. I have very weak nails. They are quite clear in the white part of the nail, and they break and peel easily.

I have tried nail strengtheners before, but not an actual nail strengthening program. The strengtheners I have previously tried were just clear polish that you paint and leave on until they wear off. I never saw much difference in my nails from using them.

Revitanail's strengthening programme is actually a 28 day treatment cycle. You paint 2 coats on your nails on the first day, and then once each day for the next 5 days. On the 7th day you remove with nail polish remover, and then repeat the process for 21 more days.

The nail strengthener is clear, and goes on like a clear nail polish. It dries quickly and gives the nails a shiny clear sheen. It comes in a glass 14ml clear nail polish bottle with a black lid. The smell is strong, but no stronger than regular nail polish. The only disappointment is that the brush is quite small. I prefer those wide, flat brushes that some brands have introduced for nail polishes now.

I carefully followed the routine. While using Revitanail I did not use any other nail polish from any other brand. The only other nail products I used from other brands were a nail polish remover, and a hand cream.

I have actually seen an improvement in my nails. I was not expecting any kind of miracle, as my nails are so weak and sad that I don't think they will ever be as strong as other peoples'. I also do a lot of manual handling in my job, which does not help. However, I have noticed less breakage of my nails. They still break, but not as easily as before. The biggest difference is that the white part of my nails is noticeably whiter, and less transparent than before. Very white nail tips are something that I think people with strong nails always naturally have. I will keep going with this treatment now that the trial is done, and hopefully my nails will improve even more.

I was lucky enough to get this in the I love Nails box which came with my two for one TGIF deal. An unbelievably good bargain at the time. I'm not usually one to take all the steps I need to care for my nails. This box opened the door to helping me understand each step to care for my nails. During this year my nails have been dry and prone to breakages.

At first glance I thought this was a top coat but it wasn't. It's a fairly large sized glass bottle with a clear cloudy appearance within this bottle. On the reverse of this bottle it suggests to paint this on your nails daily for five days. The consistency of this is like a clear coat lacquer with a strong nail polish scent.

In two instances I gave this a try. Before I applying this I like to prepare my nails with filing them. Then I add this to my nails. With my nails in full shaped length I noticed that I had one breakage within four weeks. Which is a remarkable change as I normally have breakages on a weekly basis. With shortly trimmed nails I noticed a change within my nails as they began to grow out. Their not as rough on the ends and feel slightly thicker.

I've come to the conclusion that this product is great at strengthening my nails with the aid of nail care tools. Would I seek this product out again? Probably not as an individual product because it is a highly priced . But in a nail box with such a good value for money definitely.

I was lucky to get this in the 'I love nails' BRBB it comes in a big bottle compared to nail Polish this is a 30ml bottle. Firstly you apply two coats to clean dry nails then another coat each day for five days on day seven you take it off and repeat the process three times then rest your nails for two or so weeks an repeat again. Well I followed the instructions for two months and my normally dry,peeling and splitting nails are the longest they have been for a long time it has definitely helped my nails. The product goes on really nice and is fast drying and looks just like clear nail polish.I will keep using it until it runs out very economic and lasts well I also will be purchasing more I like what it has done for my nails.
