I'm not a fan of expensive nail polish so I always tend to purchase BYS because it is cheaper. It isn't my preferred brand, but when I NEED a colour for a particular look I'm going for and I don't own it and can't find it in other brands, then I buy it.
It's super cheap, only $4 at my local Kmart. But the quality is just as well.
The brush is very thick and bushy which causes the also thick consistency of the polish to stick to it. So you have one big mess of too much gloopy product on a much too big gloopy brush. It makes it difficult to polish your fingernails but it's do-able.
It does glide on nicely, but I find that I have to go over the nail multiple times to even out the surface so I dont have thick , thick layers of polish on my nails!
It does however dry very quickly and the smell is not too strong. I don't particularly like the colours they offer, but some of their textured ones or glittery ones are too die for!
These are an impulse buy for me, as they are usually up near the counter, so the colours catch my eye.
Not my first preference or the greatest quality, but for the price they're really just a colourful bit of fun to add to my lacquer collection.
I've used both the basic and UV colour lacquers. I bought the UV Tension Rising Pink shade for a Neon party, and it really does glow under a black light. This particular colour/formula is quite thin and dries to more of a matte finish, so you need to apply a few coats. It's only really good for a day or two at most, as left any longer and it starts to discolour and look 'off'.
The only BYS nail product I would not recommend, is the Topcoat. I've used it on vairous brands of lacquers, and I found it made the coloured polish go streaky and gluggy when I brushed it on, even when the colour was previously dry.
