I try to keep my eyes simple most of the time and this palette is ideal for a natural look. It takes a bit to built up colour. I really like the gold shade. The colours are pretty forgiving if you are clumsy (like me). It is awesome how the shadow stays where it is meant to and there is minimal transfer on my bottom lash line.

Tips: Use an eyeshadow brush and not the little applicator that the palette comes with. I use it for my brows because, yes, I'm that lazy.
This is my absolute favourite eye shadow palette. You can get so many looks from one product from subtle to bold, day to night and it's so easy to use. I prefer my own brushes to apply the shadow as I find it gives a better result. I like that the pigment is not too strong which has given me more confidence to experiment and build up the colour gradually as I got the hang of the different looks. I found the shadow stays put for the whole day/night without any touch ups.
Tips: Keep the outer packaging sleeve as this gives colour application guides and ideas which I found very useful.
I was lucky enough to win this palette from Beauty Review. So stoked as I had wanted it for ages!
This is a great palette to take away with you as it has almost everything you need. The packaging is durable (I am clumsy and have broken many palette lids while travelling) and a good size to take away in your handbag.
Great colours in the palette. I don't know what the colours are called but I use the dark brown for my brows every day, perfect colour for my dark brows.
It's a great palette if you are going for a more natural look but can definitely be used to glam up with the gold and bronze colours.
These shadows last well and the darker colours work well as eyeliner too.
Definitely a great palette, would like to add the blush nudes to my collection as I feel this palette is only missing one thing, a hint of pink or peach.
This is definitely a good starter kit for newbies as it has nice neutral colours and it's easy to blend, I am going to buy my little sister one for christmas :)
I love the colours in this palette, I'm a bit of a plain jane so the nudes are perfect but there are enough options that my look isn't always the same! They go on and blend really nicely and last all day.
Ive never been into buying palettes because they are always too big to go in my day make up bag, so when I buy them I don't use them. But this one is different. I bought this; one because i'm a real lover of Maybelline; and two the raging reviews on BR! I thought it was a great price point for when you get and there is so much guidance on how to use it out there I've used it for almost everything and in many different ways. The size is perfect, it fits right in my make up bag so comes everywhere with me which means I use it every day! The colours are perfect for, I have blue eyes and blonde hair so I already knew these are the shades for me, and the shadow is very pigmented so a little goes a long way too. I would have loved it if it came with a built in mirror but you cant have everything!
Tips: The black shadow works really well for a slight eyeliner look on your lash line.
The colours aren't the most pigmented but the variety of nudes and mattes vs slightly sparkly colours are amazing. Depending of the brush will change the opaqueness. Tougher brushes bring out more colour, I don't recommend the applicators that come in the pack. I also have blushed nudes and the same review goes for that but in one pack I got 2 applicator brushes and in the nudes I got just one??
This palette has everything a girl needs for travel - especially work travel. The combination of nude tones, mattes, shimmers and deep smokey colours actually give you so much flexibilty for looks, Just dampen your brush for more pigmented looks. As with any palette, theres 3 colours I've hit pan on already while others are less used but unlike some other palettes Ive owned, EVERY shade has been utilised regularly! The perfect nudes with orange accents for accentuating bright blue eyes, and simple to take a look from business day to night out.
Tips: A damp flat eyeshadow brush makes the shimmery shades intense - almost a glitter effect on top of a good primer!
I like the natural colours and found this to be a good for basic use where you want a natural look with out the bells and whistles. It lasts the day and is really easy and nice to use. It’s a great one for the makeup bag
I was lucky enough to get to trial this as a superhero challenge. Thanks BR x Now I have to be honest with a couple of things. I've been so sick and applying makeup is the last thing on my mind. I tried to soldier on. At first this palette really annoyed me. Let me explain...
So the packaging I really like. It's compact, sturdy and looks classy. It closes with a click and is quite stiff to release. Great for travel. I love how you can see the colours through the clear peak lid and the logo is simple yet classy.
As soon as I got it I swatched on my arm. I won't lie I was really disappointed at first. I was swiping and swiping to try and build the colour up. It's not very pigmented. I took photos of the swatches inside and out to see how the colours changed. They are really really pretty colours. This I loved! It annoyed me the colours didn't seem very pigmented. I kept playing on my arm and figured out keep building the colour up to make deeper. Sweet I like this now.
The shadows have different textures I quickly found. A couple seem to be a bit more crumbly, there are a couple that are creamy and others a normal pressed texture. I like how they are different. I love how there are shimmer and flat and matte colours.
So to apply I didn't use the applicator that came with it as I prefer brushes. Now I found with other palettes you swipe the brush once or twice and you have ample colour. These you really need to build up as you go which is fantastic for people learning about applying eye shadow.
The "nude" name is perfect as the whole palette is so easy to create a soft nude no makeup look or build up for a deeper nude brown smokey look. I've been really happy with the looks I have managed to create. I've used the colours as eye shadow (obviously), highlighter for strobing, contour, brow filler and eyeliner. I struggled using it as a contour as you can only use a fine brush to pick up the colour and apply to your face, then you need to blend blend blend to hide the stripe lines. Be great if the contour and highlight colours were 2 times the size pans.
If I had seen this in a store and I had swatched in store I absolutely wouldn't have brought it. As I was dedicated to the challenge I kept playing at home and i actually really like it now. So for me it's a don't judge the book by the cover. What I don't like is it doesn't have names of the shadows written on the compact. Small thing.
I'd totally recommend this for a teenagers first palette, to someone wanting to try a smokey eye but not into bold looks yet, to a business professional.
Tips: If you get this play, build up the colours and have fun with it. Read the BR article for tips as well
I held out for such a long time and tried to get on the trial team for this but alas! it didnt happen for me so I bought my own.
I was so happy and excited to get home and start using it. I have so much fun using this palette and so many looks I can get from this. A new look every day. It has given me the tools to have the latest nude and smokey eye look. I find the colours easy to work with and blend nicely. The look lasts all day and dosent seem to fade.
You can have a look for day or evening using the same palette, very convenient. I am so happy with my purchase.
