The only thing I like about this is the grooming brush ,really good for shaping and blending brow products. The pencil itself is another story alltogether... waxy, it rubs off very quickly, doesn't blend well and worst of all, the pencil is made of plastic so sharpening is almost an impossible task without wasting it all.So the pencil only made it to the end of the week....I would not recommend this

At first I was really excited to get home to try this product out. When I first applied the product to my eyebrows I was disappointed as it was a thick unpleasing texture that I did not find nice to apply
I found its lasting power lacking. It was very waxy, thick and slippery; so the effect was very striking. And sadly, I am not a fan of the obviously-drawn-on-browes look. Also the pencil itself is plastic, so sharpening it is just... odd and tricky.
Tips: Sorry Maybelline, but I've found an eyebrowe pencil after my own heart- (Australis).
this pencil is so hard to SHARPEN the pencil itself breaks up as you try sharpen it i do however liek the brush on the other end that is very handy for settling stray brow hairs. I thought this would be a good product to try but when it comes time to sharpen the pencil it just breaks up making it impossible to get a even sharp tip. Wouldnt buy this again,
I bought this product on a whim a few months ago after getting my brows done for the first time and thought it could possibly be quite easy to use. I did my research on it and watched some tutorials of it being used and decided it could possibly be for me.
It was about $20 from memory which wasn't to steep and I was so excited to go home and try it out and start experimenting with filling in my brows. It is safe to say I have used this product a handful of times and probably won't use it ever again.
I found the wax didn't transfer very well onto my brows so they were left looking quite sparse. They also didn't allow me to achieve the perfect shape and were a bit wonky and weird because the product isn't the desired consistency. I also found the spoolie just removes most of the product placed into the brow instead of making it look nice and natural. I'm not sure if it's because I'm just learning but I will not be repurchasing, it's not very learner friendly. I will be looking for an easier product to master the art of brows.
This product might be better if I was a bit more experienced but I just find it to difficult to use at this stage.
Tips: Have a sharpener on hand, goes blunt very quickly.
This was a let down for me. While the consistency was good (waxy which makes it last), and it had a spoolie on the end for grooming, the product is encased in plastic. Having to sharpen the plastic was extremely frustating and would often leave a sharp edge which would catch my skin when I next used it.
The colour is okay, but has a red undertone that I found a little bit unnatural, even on my olive skin.
Would not repurchase, simply due to the hassle of sharpening it.
I bought this product a few months ago. I draw my eyebrows everyday, because i don't have very nice eyebrows. I went to use this product and i didn't like it at all. The pencil is far to thick, and wears down very quickly. You have to apply it with very little force to try and get a light coat, but even that usually doesn't work. I found that i was constantly sharpening the pencil and wasting the product as it gets stuck in the pencil sharpener. The lead/eyebrow pencil is very cheaply made, and doesn't do a very good job with drawing eyebrows at all. It leaves the brows looking very obvious that they have been drawn on. I have bought this product once and i will never buy again, highly disappointed.
I had high hopes when I recieved this product as I was in need of a brow product. However I must say that I'm not overly impressed. This product is double ended with a crayon at one end and a spooly brush at the other, this was great as the brush really helped to blend the colour out. I was let down by the fact that what you see is what you get. There is no retracting or sharpening to be done, once you have used the visible crayon that's it, time to buy another one. Not great value for money as you can get an ELF product for much better value. the pigment is quite soft, which is good if you are a beginner, however I wanted something with a little more guts to it. I don't think i'll be purchasing this product. I think Maybelline should stick to their mascaras. They do a fantastic job with them.
Tips: If you are going to try this product apply with short upward strokes, this will give the illusion of lift to your eyes. Please for the love of god, use the brush to blend the colour in, and a light hand is a must. Although heavy dark brows are on trend, if your not used to them, u may get a fright... along with anyone you intend on seeing that day :)
I've been using this pencil for the last couple of months but I'm shopping around now for an alternative. I find it doesn't look that natural as the pencil is quite soft so it's hard to get a natural look with it. Also the colour isn't that fantastic and I find on a warm day it can smudge quite easily which is not something you want from an eyebrow pencil!
I always use the E.L.F eyebrow duo and love applying brow colour with a slanted brush so I found it hard to evenly colour in my brows with this and had random patches of build up! Would be good if you are a beginner and have never used anything else on your brows.
Tips: Use with a light hand in feathery strokes
