Mellow Brow Pomade - Caramel Review

Caramel is one of about six other colour shades to choose from of brow pomades from Mellow cosmetics. The product seems to work nicely as the claim says and hold brow hair in place while filling in sparseness. Product melts as it warms up with the skin making it easy to work with and smooth not really hard and gloopy. Over the day I haven't noticed crumbling or fading / oxidizing. While they say the product is vegan and cruelty-free they do sell to Asia. I like that the products have no parabens and am interested in trying some other things from this company. Farmers stock mellow cosmetics. The bummer with this pomade is it does not come with a brush or application tool. Spreads easily. Lasts you a long time. Your supposed to use within 6 months but shorter expiry dates tend to go with paraben free products. Now days I like to use a temporary tattoo brow tint as I find it hard to get my brows symmetric so it can be time consuming and fiddley applying brow products that wash off

I picked this out from the Beauty Vault because I had read a lot of good things about the Mellow brand. This Pomade comes in a small see-through jar with a black lid, its plastic so you don't have to worry about dropping and braking it which I liked. The caramel colour was a perfect shade for my brows and the formula seems to last me ages which means it would probably expire before I'm finished with it as it has an expiry date of 6 months, but the price of it is actually quite affordable so I don't really mind. It takes a bit of effort to get onto my brush as I found it was really hard, I'm not sure why that is but I just dig some out with my brush and wipe it around a bit in the jar to soften it up and then apply. I guess if it was too creamy then it wouldn't look as nice and natural on my brows, overall its a great product.

I've been wanting to test out the "Mellow" range since I first saw it appear in Farmers, it is reasonably priced, has great shades and I love that it is cruelty-free and a kiwi brand. I grabbed this as soon as I could in the beauty vault - thanks BR!, I was surprised at how small - yet gorgeous and jewel - like the packaging was for this pomade, I've been a long time lover of ABH's pomade which is noticeably larger. The product itself is brilliant, it is so creamy, but not in a messy or watery way that I found the Chi Chi one to be. It isn't dry - nor hard when using and it goes on like a dream. A small amount goes a long way, which helps to justify the size of the pottle. It gives you great, shaped and flattering eyebrows in seconds - very easy to use and stays on well, the colour is a good match for me. Can't wait to try other Mellow products.
