MAC Lipsticks

I got the "Rebel" lipstick and instantly fell in love with it. The colouring was great and it smelled good. I got a heap of compliments the first time I wore it about how nice it looked on my skin tone. I would recommend MAC Lipsticks to anyone who likes a nice lipstick

MAC lippys

My first time purchasing a MAC lippy was an awesome experience. There are so many colours. I went quite safe to start with kinda sexy whch has turned into my favourite. It goes on so smoothly and has great staying power. The vanillary smell is just so yummy. I cant wait to purchase more MAC lippys.

MAC - epensive but worth every cent!!

Mac lipsticks are amazing!!! I own a lot of lipsticks and the ones I always go to are the MAC ones and I know they are going to last a much longer time and add moisture to the lips. I use velvet teddy on a daily basis and there's not one thing I can fault on this. I apply it first thing in the morning and touch up around lunch time. They smell fantastic! I cant wait to buy more!!!!! I want them all!

Tips: Give your lips a good scrub before use and use a lip liner for a longer staying power.

Mac lipsticks

I first received a Mac lipstick on Christmas , Ruby Woo was name. Immediately I fell in love , it was hassle free when applying the product to my lips. The colour was long lasting, flawless and the smell is so amazing. Only down side is I heard they test on animals not sure if that's true, but I prefer cruelty free products more so Ruby woo is my last Mac lipstick I'm ever going to have. Mac lipsticks are a good quailty product though, but are extremely costly.

MAC lipsticks

Growing up I always thought my cousins were over hyping MAC lippies... Clearly I was wrong. Not only do they come in different finishes to suit any occasion but they come in every colour you can ask for. You could even change your lipstick colour depending on your mood.

I find most of the matte ones apply creamy and also are long lasting. Cream sheen are perfect for every day wear.Amplified are perfect if you want to be daring. There are many more finishes.

I find the only down side to MAC lipsticks are the limited editions ones as some time you find a favourite colour but they're no longer available.

Tips: Lipliners keep reds from bleeding.

The famous MAC lipstick

MAC is very popular for their wide variety of lipsticks. I love going into shops that sell MAC and looking at all the lipsticks, there is definitely something for everyone! I have a red matte one and its amazing! It is very easy to apply as it goes on smoothly and evenly, I only need to touch up a couple of times throughout the night. Unlike some matte lipsticks it doesn't make my lips feel dry or make cracks obvious, it also has a nice scent to it and the packaging is cute.

The BEST.

Personally, I rate MAC lipsticks to be the best in the world. They're extremely long lasting, have pigmentation to die for and honestly they make me feel beautiful! I couldn't recommend them more!

Tips: Save up for a while and treat yoursel, it is so worth it :) Rebel is THE BEST!

Awesome design with a vanilla scent, can’t go wron

I was put off by MAC for a very long time, but slowly over the last 18 months peer pressure from other BR members has seen me crumb and at this moment in time I own 7 MAC lipsticks, 6 of which are making this review (Viva Glam is under the MAC Viva Glam review)

Shades in this review: Salon Rouge, Cyber, Heroine, Smoked Purple, Ruby Woo, Sushi Kiss.

Packaging for the MAC lipstick range is very chic and timeless, even with their limited editions they don’t alter the actual shape of the bullet just the colouring and effects. The lipstick feels heavy and worth its price tag which in comparison to some of the other brands out there is quite reasonable. The easy twist up and down mechanism with the wording MAC on the lid and silver barrel inside keeps the theme constant. Formula wise no matter if it is a sheer or matte finish lipstick always goes on creamy and has a faint vanilla scent to it which is an awesome touch. They are all long lasting to the point of eating or drinking they aren’t claiming to be kiss, drink or eat proof so expect to take this lipstick with you to top up a couple of times throughout the day.

Salon Rouge: (Limited Edition comes in a sparkly black case with black barrel inside instead of silver) Deep blue based red, sheer effect Cyber: Darkest blue purple in a satin finish Heroine: Bright purple in a matte finish Smoked Purple: Deep black purple in a matte finish Ruby Woo: Blue based red (the perfect red in my opinion) in a retro matte finish Sushi Kiss: Coral salmon pink/orange in a satin finish

These are awesome and I can’t wait to collect more of them, they look great on my vanity table all together. Out of all the formulas even the matte wasn’t drying on my lips, none of them feathered and none of them dragged. The lipstick itself can become quite soft when left in direct sunlight so store these in a suitable location if you don’t want a melted mess during the summer months

MAC lipstick all round!

Awesome product! Love the large range of shades and finishes!! Some of my cult favourites include Russian Red - a bluish based red in a matte finish, Ruby Woo - a retro matte vivid blue based red, lady danger - matte vivid orange red, snob - satin light neutral pink and vegas volt - amplified creme full power coral..Basically the finish is about whether it is matte, slightly shimmery, more creamy, slightly glossy etc. Apply straight from the bullet or with a brush if you prefer. Drier lips should avoid the matte as it will show dryness up more. Smaller lips will suit the lighter shades. You don't need to use much - a little goes a long way. Gloss can also be added on top if desired. Lasts about 3-6 months for me. The more matte the finish the longer it will last generally - and this can be hours! $40 probably seems high but the quality is the proof of its worth and if your a MAC fan like me 6 empties will get you a free lipstick from the top 20!

Tips: Use a lip liner base to help with long wear! Use gloss if desired on top. Dry lips avoid matte finish, small lips stick to lighter shades.

Smells delicious!

Well this is awkward, it seems I'm the black sheep in this MAC lipstick owning family.

Firstly, I own Honeylove, which is a Matte. I love the colour of this one! It's a gorgeous browny nude, a good alternative to Velvet Teddy for those with a fairer complexion.

I also own Modesty, which is a Cremesheen. This is the perfect every day 'your lips but better' colour, it suits so many people!

They do smell incredible, but the issues I have with these lippys are: 1) The matte formula is incredibly drying (duh, Sarah) no, but more drying than other mattes in my collection 2) The matte also leaves that dreaded filthy ring around the inner rim of my lips *dry retches* 3) The cremesheen formula is super creamy (again, duh Sarah) but it wears off in what feels like minutes. I feel like I have to reapply 6704 times per day 4) The price tag, $40? Phwoar!

I just feel like I have other lippys that perform the same, for half the price, if not less. MAC is great because they have a seemingly unlimited selection of lippys, so if you can't find a colour/finish in other brands, you might have luck finding it with them, however, I will be looking at more affordable brands in future before looking at MAC.

I will still be going to MAC for all my other loves though! Tehe.

Tips: If you have your heart set on getting a MAC lippy, because let's face it, every girl needs one in their collection to feel that extra bit of glam, I would recommend finding reviews on the one you wish to purchase firstly.
