I love this product. I haven't always been comfortable applying and wearing lipstick and this is a great alternative. This is long wearing and affordable. There's so many colours. I now own three and will continue to buy this product.

A friend of mine gave me a pink one of these because she already has one. Oh my life, these are amazing! The smell is a fresh mint smell, the colour itself is so pigmented. Once the lipstick has worn off there's a slight tint left on your lips, its great. The lipstick isn't drying, it lastes a good few hours on your lips. I probably will buy more of these, they have a good colour selection too. The lipstick is a bit pricey, but for under $30 its great!
I have this in the shade unapoligetic and I am in love. I have been looking for the perfect red/fuchsia/pink lip colour that's matte and this is perfect. They last all day and are really creamy. I didn't expect it to go on so smooth as it's matte but i was pleasantly surprised. The packaging is cute and easy to use as you never need to sharpen it. There are only a few things I don't like about it: once you've used it for a while it tends it go flat at the top which makes it hard to get a crisp line. And the smell, I really don't like peppermint, but the smell doesn't last that long (thank god)
I received one of these babies in a goodiebox. I am so glad I did as this isn't the sort of thing I would pick out for myself but I LOOOOVE it!
I cant remember the shade(I dont have it handy) but omg the colour payoff is amazing and it stays put all day(or night) despite eating and drinking with it on.
This didnt dry out my lips at all, in fact I find it very hydrating and my lips continue to look smooth the entire time Im wearing it.
If you are on the fence about purchasing it, dont be, it is an outstanding product
These lip crayons are awesome. There's a huge range of colours, they're a smooth and creamy formula, and they smell like peppermint! This seemed weird at first to me but the mint is an ingredient meant to make your lips tingle and appear fuller. I have 3 shades, 230 (a nude) 245 (a bright orange) and 225 (a deep burgundy). while the nude and burgundy are excellent I find the bright orange clings to any slightly dry patches on my lips. Avoid the bright shades in these, but definitely pick up some of the more toned down colours as the quality is excellent.
Tips: make sure your lips are in tip top shape if using one of the bright shades. Any dry patches will be very noticeable!
I have one of these in the shade 250 ‘Standout’. It’s a perfect blue-based bright red, and I think it would suit basically anyone.
I love the packaging; the tube itself has a matte finish and I love these crayon-type lip products anyway. The lid fits securely, and the tube is easy to wind up and down.
The actual product is very pigmented. One swipe is basically fully opaque, and so this is very easy to apply. I agree entirely with the name as a description: although it’s not in any way glossy, this glides on super smoothly, just like a balm. It definitely looks velvety as opposed to full-on dry matte, which I really like.
This doesn’t dry out my lips, which is great. I don’t find it particularly moisturising, so I do often apply a bit of lip balm before, but it doesn’t accentuate dryness too badly, and it is very comfortable to wear throughout the day.
In terms of lasting power, this is pretty good. I do have to reapply after eating a meal, but it stands up to normal wear well, and I can get a good few hours without having to worry about it.
For such a bright/bold colour, I really like that I don’t have to use a lip liner, as it doesn’t really feather or ‘travel’ off my lips.
My only slight gripe with this is that (as with any crayon-shaped lippie), the tip wears down eventually, and so it’s a bit harder to apply precisely. However, this is a small thing in light of the fact that it’s really an amazing lip product, and I’m willing to live with it because of that.
Overall: I love this, and I’m definitely keen to pick up another one or two different shades at some point.
I have several Revlon Kissable Balm Stains, so when they bought out the Matte Balms I knew it wouldn't be long before they worked their way into my collection. I have 'Sultry', a deep pinky nude which is almost my-lips-but-better, and 'Elusive', a medium, warm pink. They're both incredibly wearable colours and now live in my handbag as I pretty much wear one of them every day at work. Despite being a 'balm' as well these are also quite opague and you only need a quick swipe to get a nice colour depth.
There's a few differences between the Matte Balms and the Kissable Balm Stains, the most obvious being the smooth matte finish. Unlike a lot of matte lipsticks I have, these aren't incredibly drying thanks to the moisturising balm effect. I have quite dry lips and work in an area with heaps of air conditioning though so still prefer to apply a seperate lip balm to keep up the moisture as I did find if my lips dried out then the lighter shade (elusive) did crack in my lips. The colour lasted a decent amount of time, lasting through drinks but you'd need to reapply after eating.
Another difference was I found these didn't have the obvious minty fragrance, taste or tingle of the balm stains.
I love crayon-format lip colours for ease of use and the Matte Balms are no exception. The colour is so easy to apply and I like how the plastic package is the same colour as the balm so you can distinguish between them, especially when you end up with a few!
Overall a really great lip product that I'd happily repurchase.
Tips: At the end of the day remove any excess colour and use a lip scrub to get rid of any dry skin before popping on a moisturising balm to help keep your lips in good condition.
I absolutely love this product, i had seen so many reviews on it so i went out and finally bought it yesterday.and already, i am so impressed. It really moisturises my lips like a lip balm, and the colour stayed on for so long. :-D i am in love with matte liptstick i just really feel like it makes the lips look fuller? if you know what i mean. i was so lucky i got the last one of the colour i wanted which was sultry! it is so natural looking and i love it!
One perk of having a partner who travels for work all the time is that he was nice enough to bring me back a goodie bag from target where these are only about $6 US... I have Striking and I've done a good three days worth of wearing it now and must say I'm impressed! Same minty taste as the original range, application is a breeze, it stays on fantastically and even reapplication goes smoothly considering some of the history I have had with Mattes. 'Striking' is just that... striking! Love the colour and the orange hue that comes through with it. Definitely intend to continue adding to my collection next time he's in the states
Tips: This is about as idiot proof as you can get.. Twist operated to extend it. Makes a smooth line, cap stays on well, I honestly have no advice as it really is that easy!
I have recently purchased many of these matte balms, and they are definitely some of my favourite lip products. These stay on for 3-4 hours and moisturise and hydrate my lips. They come in various colours and add a pop of colour to your lips. I find this product very easy to work with and would definitely repurchase.
