NYX Professional Makeup Butter Glosses Review

So I was totally intelligent and fell in love with these a week or so before the start of April, which is Red My Lips month, and did not buy a red shade. Derp. So I wish I could wear these all month long but until I buy a red shade, no such luck.

The shades I DO have are Cupcake and Angel Food Cake. Cupcake is a gorgeous bright pink that can be built up or sheered out for that perfect, glossy, natural pink look. Angel Food Cake is on the purple-y mauve side and I adore it.

The formulation of these lipglosses is sticky enough to not feel like it's going to slide all over your face, but not so sticky that it feels uncomfortable on the lips. I've never actually found a formulation like this before and I must say I love it. It's almost gel-like. The pigmentation is incredible, more than a regular gloss but less than a lipstick. They just feel so comfortable and look beautiful on the lips and I want ALL of the shades.

This is a really good lip gloss with so much pigment and has a very nice finish. It is a more nudey brown-pink colour and looks nice on darker skin tones. I love using a nude liner and then applying this. When i first applied this and rubbed my lips together it sort of looked sticky and not so smooth, I then waited a little while and the lip gloss seemed to have set and looked absolutly smooth. This lip gloss can give anyone smooth lips and make them look plumper I had found and they come in so many different shades. Creme Brulee is definitly one of my favorites as it fits my skin tone so nicely. Another plus side is the smell of these, you just wanna eat them up!

I picked up one of these babies at Target when I was last in Aussie as part of a massive haul. It's one of my favourite things from the trip.

I have an NYX Butter Gloss in BLG21: Raspberry Tart. This is a slightly confusing name as the tube is a delicious purple colour, which is not the shade that comes to mind for me for raspberries - I'd have expected a more red shade. The tube is a short, round one with a screw off cap, revealing a sponge tipped wand. The applicator is lovely to use - soft and feels nice against my lips.

The gloss itself is gorgeous. It looks purple on the wand but is actually a deep, sexy berry (still not seeing the raspberry per se but it's definitely a berry shade) with a very smooth consistency and a high gloss factor (not mirror image glossy, just silky and shiny and beautiful). It feels divine on your lips as the texture is so smooth and sensual.

Longevity is typical for a gloss- it lasts fine until you want to use your mouth, then disappears quickly (although a residual 'gloss' feeling and small tint remain) - but reapplication is a pleasure and it's a small price to pay for gorgeous lips the rest of the time.

This is a perfect 'in between' for me when I don't want the bold statement of lipstick, but want colour, shine, and to feel a bit pretty and sexy.

I will be buying more of these beauties - eyeing up a red in particular!

I love these lip glosses. They are pigmented and smells like cookie dough mmmmm. They do not stay on very long though but you only need a small amount. I are smooth on the lips and feel very moisturising. I will definitely need to buy the whole collection. I currently have 8.

These smell soo good! They have a scent of in my opinion vanilla cake batter. The gloss itself is nice, great pigmentation and they feel really nice on the lips. The only downfall is staying power but in saying that for a gloss you wouldn't expect it to last for hours.. They are very easy to re-apply with the Doe foot applicator. They layer really nice over lipstick too I often wear them over a nude lip just for a little bit of muted colour. I think they definitely are a must have if you don't want to always commit to a lipstick colour for the whole day and want something quick that looks like great.

These smell so good, it's hard to not want to eat them lol.

I like that they are a glossy, but not too shiny and don't have that sticky texture most glosses do. It's pretty much a lip gloss but with an almost lip balm like texture. The colour is great too, they can work great over lipstick or lipliner and look awesome on their own too. It's great for people who don't want to wear lipstick everyday, but still want a pop of colour.

I haven't been much of a gloss person for a long time, I don't like the stickiness, and I don't like when they're just clear, and if they have so much colour - well why don't I just use a lipstick! These NYX butter glosses however are different, they feel really comfortable on the lips, they're not sticky and they don't dry out my lips either. They smell incredible, they're super cheap and they have gorgeous colours - not too sheer, not too opaque. I think they look great over a lipstick or alone, and they last longer than regular glosses I find.

Very nice colours, nice on top of lipstick or on its own. Very creamy and smells great. Does exactly what it says. Nice doe foot applicator for easy application.

These butter glosses are fantastic. The pigment is to die for, and the range of colours amazing. Highly recommended for a drug store brand. While they do not dry the lip, they have god staying power. One of my favourite glosses.

I brought the NYX Butter glosses after watching a haul shaaanxo did and she said it smelled like dunkin donuts, so I had to buy them, they smell so good, they are so creamy, pigmented, not tacky, last ages they are the best. The color range is good and it gets better when they create new colors, I love the formula, i love the smell i love quality. They dont feel cheap, the packaging is sturdy, the packaging matches the colour of the gloss which is always convenient. No issues with this at all, plus its cheap, i buy mine of beauty joint.
