Maybelline Color Whispers Review

i LOVE this soft pink, it is such a sweet pretty colour, I pop it over a nude lipliner or a matte lip stain. It has a bit of a gloss to it which I love too

This lipstick is like a tinted lipgloss, and I loved it! It does what it says in the title, gives your lips a "whisper" of color. I loved using this during the day when I like a nice wash of color and boost the sheen in my lips. It was non-drying like some matte lipsticks can be, not hard to remove at the end of the day, I didn't find the lipstick sticky at all and actually it was a nice comfortable wear, the scent was pleasant, and the formula did not sting or hurt my lips.

I got this from Farmers as it was a pretty cheap lippie, only $15. I got the shade Petal Rebel, because it was a very subtle colour and I thought it would be perfect for school. This is my first official lipstick I've ever brought coz I've been more of a Chapstick/lipgloss type of girl.And man, I love it! It feels very light on the lips, which is wonderful. Plus it's a beautiful colour. It lasts a couple of hours, so it needs reapplying a few times a day but that's okay. Definitely would buy it again and I think I love lipsticks so much more over lipglosses now. :)

These lipsticks are so creamy and easy to use, and come in gorgeous shades! I own 5 so far and find them very consistent and they look great on. My only issue would be that they aren't as highly pigmented as they are made out to be. Overall these are a great buy and there's so many pretty colours!

I absolutely love this lipstick!, it gives a subtle girly touch to the days look without over powering your look. Its great for both casual and going out. It doesn't last all day so you need to reapply during the day which can get annoying especially after drinking from a glass.

I have two shades in the Maybelline Color Whispers, Petal Rebel and Oh La Lilac. While these are not super pigmented they give just enough colour to show that I'm wearing something. I also like that they feel almost like a lip balm and don't dry out my lips. My favourite shade is the Oh La Lilac which is the perfect shade of lilac for us pale girls and I wear this a lot at work when I want a more subtle shade on my lips. I have found that Petal Rebel gives a lot less colour but looks amazing layered over top of my Nars Bolero lip pencil. The staying power of this is pretty limited, especially as soon as you take a drink of water. But they are easy enough to apply and since they don't have as much colour you don't have to be as precise with your lines. I keep mine on my desk and give myself a few top ups throughout the day (often without a mirror). While they may not be for everyone I love my Oh La Lilac and would definitely buy the shade again.

I have one of these lipstick's in the colour 90 - Oh La Lilac and its really nice, I don't regret picking it up. Its a very bright pink that would probably be a very crazy going out only type colour if it were opaque however its nice and sheer which makes it very wearable for a nice pop of colour without being too OTT.

The formula is very nice and creamy although I do have to make sure my lips are smooth and exfoliated because it can tend to cling to my dry patches which is never a hot look.

The packaging is also really nice, mine is a very bright pink lid with silver writing down the side and at the base - love it!

I think these are a great lipstick if you're looking for a sheer pop of colour and I will probably pick a few more up in different colours

I am surprised at how much I like these. I won 2 of them in a gift pack & just fell in love. I have since brought more. Firstly the formula is to die for! It feels so hydrating on the lips, glides on super smooth & really just feels beautiful to wear- there should be more gel based lipsticks I tell you. Secondly these are perfect for people wanting to get into coloured lipsticks but not wanting to go crazy bold right away. I have the orange one & a light pastel pink one & while it quite sheer you can certainly see the pop of colour. I like to use them on days where I want a slight toned down look but still want colour. As for the packaging I like the slim look that they have, it makes them feel cute to me. I will definitely be getting more in the future.

These lippys smell sweet like caramel apples icing sugar. I found some colors that stated they were limited editions an i found others which did not so i think that some are one off whilst there's a permanent line also . I have used these lippys with an without lip primers some nude/Skin tone pigmented lip primers tend to change the color of the lipstick quite dramatically. So it all depends on what you like. i actually really like these lipsticks an continue to wear these a lot.
