Maybelline Color Whispers Review

I absolutely love this lipstick!, it gives a subtle girly touch to the days look without over powering your look. Its great for both casual and going out. It doesn't last all day so you need to reapply during the day which can get annoying especially after drinking from a glass.

This is a great balmy lipstick with very build-able colour. It feels soft and smooth to apply and has a nice sheen to it. Because it is a moisturising lipstick it doesn't last very long and does need reapplying throughout the day. I have this in "Who wore it Red-er" which is strangely more of a pink shade than a red but it is very pretty and flattering.

I was a sucker for the great ads Maybelline had for these lippies. The colours are beautiful and sheer which is exactly what I want for work. One Size fits pearl is a beautiful sheer nude shade while the coral shade in the range gives a little bit of edge while still being work appropriate. Lasts for a few hours (without drinking or eating).

Im not a huge fan of these, i felt like it definitely lived up to the whisper and gave you a small amount of colour to your lips. these feel like a lip balm and has a similar consistency to one, i do however like that it feels weightless and doesn't feel heavy on your lips at all. These are perfect if you want a tinted lip balm though.

I was a huge fan of the colour sensational lippies, so I thought I would give this a go. I like the packaging - the see through tube and whisper written down emphasise that they are lighter colours.

They have that same sweet smell that reminds me of play-doh a little. It doesn't bother me when its on. The formula is really smooth, I think it would be fine to wear if you had quite dry lips because it feels really moisturising. I chose Lust for Blush, it looked like more of a mauvey pink, but on it is quite washed out. It's quite shiny/wet looking. I think it's more of a gloss look on. The wear time was about an hour for me, which is probably about the same as a gloss if you aren't eating, drinking etc.

I don't think I would purchase these again, because to me it is quite expensive for what just looks like a lip gloss when on the lips. I will stick with the Sensational ones, which I love.

These lippys smell sweet like caramel apples icing sugar. I found some colors that stated they were limited editions an i found others which did not so i think that some are one off whilst there's a permanent line also . I have used these lippys with an without lip primers some nude/Skin tone pigmented lip primers tend to change the color of the lipstick quite dramatically. So it all depends on what you like. i actually really like these lipsticks an continue to wear these a lot.

I have a pink one of these Maybelline Colour Whispers and it does exactly that - provides a whisper of colour.

These are really nice and moisturizing, with a light tint that polishes your look a bit more than just wearing lip balm. They colour isn't really buildable and is definitely sheer, so don't expect any opaqueness! However if you do want something sheer and moisturizing, this is for you. Perfect for lighter and more natural makeup days, or when you want a natural lip paired with a heavier eye.

This is a really lovely formula to wear on your lips. Adds hydration while adding a subtle colour. Subtle is the key word here. I have two beautiful pink shades which sit in my bag so I can use them on the go and I have actually bought one for my mum to use because she isn't a fan of a highly pigmented product. The packaging of this is very slim compared to my other lipsticks which makes them easy for traveling and sleek to pull out and use. It's great for those days that you aren't wearing makeup but would like to have a little something on your lips. The texture is light and balmy in consistency which means it doesn't last very long on the lips however I don't mind that since I will be touching up throughout the day for the hydration anyway.

I managed to purchase my Lip stick second hand so I could get an idea of what it's like before buying this product.

This lipstick comes in this see through packaging with whisper down the side. It looks quite cool. I take the lid off to find this lipstick inside it's metal casing. It's easy to wind up and wind down.

The colour I chose was Orange Attitude. I think from the name I was expecting a colour that's bright and bold with a bit of attitude. The texture of it in its tube is quite soft. It has a soft sweet scent to it. When applied to my lips it feels kind of greasy. The colour I got was an opaque orange. Lightly tinted orange.

My results were opaque orange lips. Was definitely a whisper of colour. Lacked a bit of Orange attitude though. Definitely wouldn't go out and buy a full priced one. I am lucky to have tried this one though. Colour didn't stay on my lips either. Bit of a let down. Was expecting a bright orange that packed it's punch.

I am totally hooked on these at the moment. As the name implies, they are sheer washes of colour. Some shades have shimmer, some do not. I really love these lippies for those minimal make-up days - they look effortless and the texture is like lip balm so they are quite moisturizing! My only gripe is that they don't last very long on the lips, thanks to to the emollient formula and sheer colour, so they do need reapplication throughout the day.
