I recently purchased my first ever MAC lipstick, and it made me wonder what I have been doing with my life up until this point!!! Creamy, smells lovely, sleek packaging and super staying power!! I bought MAC red, and it is the perfect, classic blue-red. Could not be any happier!

The MAC lipstick range is my go to lipsticks when I want to update my look or need something special for a night out. They are so pigmented and true to colour. The retro matte can get a little dry on the lips, they last a long time and can stain the lips. They have endless colours for everyone if your unsure go to the counter they have never put me wrong.
Tips: The retro matte tends to be a little dry so if you have fine lines or cracked lips make sure you exfoliate them first and apply a balm first. Pricey but worth it if you know anyone going to America beg them to buy them there
I love my middle end brands so it's no surprise that MAC is one of my favourites.
Cremesheen is by far my favourite formula of the MAC lippys. My most recent purchase is Pure Zen and it's the most beautiful nude I've ever seen.
The colour range of MAC lipsticks is incredible and the pigmentation is amazing! The staying power is pretty long wearing but matte lipsticks do tend to dry and peel away quicker then other formulas.
Tips: Always buy from MAC itself to ensure you own the real deal.
I love the smell almost to the point of wanting to taste. The scent is sort of like a vanilla stick you use for cooking and it glides in smoothly. I love the natural shades like peachstok and myth are my favz as they make my lips look more plump without any brightness. The downside is that it can be a bit high priced but if I can buy a coffee a week I can sure buy a mac lippy, a must have for any women
Tips: Use a lip liner to pencil shape of the lippy
MAC lipsticks are great - I own so many of them. There are so many shades to choose from it can often be overwhelming so I always get advice from the MAC crew at the stores. There are shades and finishes to suit everyone and all seasons. The creamsheen and lustre finishes are more creamy and feel more moisturising than the matte colours but you can always add a clear gloss over the matte to make it more moisturising. I love MAC lipsticks so much that I've just got my Mum onto buying them too!
Tips: Don't keep them in your pocket, as they can warm up and melt. I've had a couple break off in the past so now I am very careful about not letting them get too warm.
I am a relatively new Mac-aholic! I currently own Russian Red, Craving, Viva Glam Rihanna, Girl About Town and Rebel (also have Kelly Yum Yum on the way!). I adore the vanilla scent and awesome slick packaging. I am pretty happy with the staying power of them, have only marked it down slightly as some seem to last longer than others. I love how there is such a large range of colours and also the special limited edition packaged ones are so cute!
Tips: Once I have applied my lipstick, I put my finger in my mouth, close my lips around it and then pull my finger out....sounds weird but it stops me getting lipstick on my teeth!
I was so generously spoilt rotten by the lovely Colleen who sent me craving as a random act of kindness and now I can say that I am completely addicted!
Firstly, the packaging is so sleek and simple. Although its simple it is of extremely high quality and there is no chance of this breaking easily or the lid coming off unexpectedly. This is great because you definitely want your $40 lipstick to be protected. The only thing is the colour isn't identifiable from the tube so if you're lucky enough to have quite a collection then I can see that being a problem.
The formula of the lipstick itself is unlike any other I have used before and as soon as I had it on my lips I understood exactly what all the hype was about. It is the most pigmented lippy I have by far and it is so velvety smooth when applied. It is incredibly nourishing and when it eventually does fade (after a fair few hours) it fades really naturally so no lipstick rings! My most favourite part though would have to be the scent - it smells like vanilla! DELICIOUS!
The shade I have is called craving and is a beautiful raspberry red. I think this shade is pretty universal as a few ladies I know have it and it looks beautiful on all of them. If you are starting out your MAC collection and are looking for something that is sophisticated and still wearable on an every day basis this is the shade for you.
I am absolutely head over heels in love and I plan on buying many more shades!
I have always wanted to try MAC products after all the rave reviews on them, and I decided to treat myself to a lipstick. Of course, I had to have a lipstick in my favourite colour of all time.. Red! I chose a Ruby Woo Matte lipstick, and I LOVE it!! Yes this lipstick is quite drying as it is matte, but I have found that prepping my lips with the Oasis lip and lash treatment helps the lipstick glide on smoothly and it keeps your lips moisturised the whole time your wearing it! I absolutely love the finish of this lipstick, the pigmentation is out of this world amazing, and the packaging is solid. I feel so glamorous everytime I wear this, the shade is so bold and on my olive toned skin it is a very true red. I own way too many different red lipsticks and have never found the right red for me until now! I get so many compliments with this shade, and it is a very loud and bold statement colour. I would love to try some other lipsticks from MAC, but if I only ever own one.. This would be it for me :)
Tips: Pick a shade and lipstick that is right for you. Look at swatches online, these are quite pricey so you want to make sure you pick one that you will love :)
I do not buy that many MAC products. But without fail, I am a sucker for MAC lipsticks and can't seem to go past anything else! I do really have a loyalty for MAC lipsticks.
My favourite finishes are the Matte, Cremesheen, Amplified, and Amplified Creme. The Matte lipsticks are exactly what they say they are. For Mattes the bright colours and reds are great because they really pop and have a nice fresh finish if you like that look. I wouldn't recommend a completely Matte nude though, I have one but I find that I have to apply lipstick over top as it looks a bit like foundation (but that may just be the shade). I think that the Amplified ones are perfect as they have a slight sheen to them without being too shiny and glossy so they really highlight your lips!
These lipsticks have a fantastic formulation. They last for ages and have great staying power! Sometime I can apply the bright colours with lip liner and they can last all night with only tiny touchups. They also apply really smoothly.
Another positive is how the lipsticks don't dry out your lips. I am addicted to lipbalm and cannot handle having dry lips, but with the MAC lipsticks I don't need to use lipbalm as they are quite moisturising!
One downside is the price. I feel that $40 is pretty good for what you get as the lipsticks are good quality and last a while, but you can get cheaper lipsticks for half - a third of the price which are pretty much just as good!
My favourite colours are: Impassioned Girl About Town - The girl in the store recommended this one as I was looking for a very bright pink and when I saw it i didn't like the look of it but once applied it is a great hot pink/fuschia! Morange The reds are great classics but the name of my red has rubbed off!
This is just a review for the Matte's of Mac, I personally find the duration of the lip stick lasts for 7+ hours even after eating or drinking. And leaves a slick matte finish on the lip add a bit of lip liner and it just makes the lips pop put! I love it and i will always keep using it, try guys!
Tips: Apply a soft line of lip liner (same colour as chosen lipstick) and this will help keep the colour on your lips and give it a clean line around the lips for the lipstick to be applied easily.
