Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

It's Rimmel, what'dya expect other than a 5 star rating?

Okay, starting off with the packaging. It's this beautiful little tube with a crystal top, really cool to look at and easy to hold. It's about the length of my hand when you look at the line from the bottom of my palm to the top of my little finger to give a perception of it's size. I did expect a little bigger, but it's not a thin tube so I'm quite happy with it.

Then, you open it for the first time (and just a quick tip, if you open it for the first time you will see the colour fill the top of the tube where the wand comes out - so if it doesn't it's not brand new) and you get this weird-ish wand, that looks like a normal gloss applicator but is carved out in the middle. It looks really cool, but is it practical?

Yes!! I don't exactly know how it works, but it does. the gloss doesn't get stuck in the middle.

I expected this to be like a Velvetine, drying completely - but it's not.

As they say, it's a mix between a lipstick and a gloss. One con for me is that the formula tends to stay a bit sticky (hence the reason I don't wear lipgloss) but it doesn't make me want to take it off.

The colour pigmentation is out of this world. It gives a true burst of colour and applies really evenly. It lasts through your meals and drinks, even if it does leave a lippy mark on your glass - and it really does last quite a while. My best I've had out of it was around six hours through constant eating.

I am definitely impressed with the quality of this and I will definitely repurchase - and purchase all the other shades too!

Okay, I really really LOVE these! I bought from ASOS in a sale in 2 different shades and they are seriously amazing! One shade was a matte and it has better staying power than some of my lipsticks! Glides on with ease, doesn't look weird or cakey as you would expect with a matte lip gloss. The glossier shade is good too but a little more for casual usage.

This is a really nice lip product. Its packaging is very pretty in a cute little tube. It has a wand applicator making it easy to apply. I love the selection of colors for this product. It looks really nice and opaque once its applied. I do find it to be quite sticky and it does need reapplying a lot, one application won't last all day. But I do like this product and I do recommend.

I have 7 of these Rimmel Apocalips. I love them so much.

First of all, I love the name. It's clever and I don't know why it is called Show Off in the US. Anyway, these are probably the only lip lacquers I like. They are so pigmented and creamy. I love the finish too.

It doesn't last as long on the lips compared to a normal lipstick but I didn't expect it would. I love it for its pigmentation.

My favourite shade is Apocaliptic which is a bright pink shade and Big Bang for a true red. The darker the shades, the more pigmented they are and better. I find the lighter, more natural shades average compared to the bright pinks and red.

These wee beauties have great staying power and don't feel sticky on the lips . There not very drying either and I only ever need to touch up if I've eaten a lot or drank lots . This is my go to clubbing lippy looks great and the bright colours are my favourite !!

I love this lip lacquer so much because it is as it says "in between gloss and lipstick" and I don't usually do too well with lipstick because of colour bleeding of the lips (I know I should use a pencil too) but that isn't necessary with this as the colour stayed on for most of the night and no colour bleeding at all! It also feels nice and smooth on the lips.

I'm not really one for lipglosses let alone liquid lipsticks, I am however a big fan of the apocalips.

Firstly the packaging is super fancy almost futuristic design. The applicator makes the product glide on with its creamy formula. This liquid lipstick leaves a nice long lasting finish.

As they state these Lip Lacquer's are truly rich in colour! I was given a bright red colour ''Big Bang'' and to me it certainly isn't a colour you'd wear to the supermarket! It is for a more dressy occasion in my opinion. The packaging is gorgeous and nice to hold.It applies smoothly and can easily be built up.I did find that it leaves a very red colour to your lips but it doesn't stop me from using it again and buying more!

These new gems from Rimmel are fab! I have them in two shades - Stellar and Nude Eclipse. I order them off asos.com as they're usually quite a bit cheaper than in Farmers etc. I love the super creamy formula, and they seem to last quite a while on the lips without having to reapply. The applicator applies the lip lacquer nicely.They shade range is quite good with bright and bold colours, which look the same in the bottle as they do on your lips, and have a few more I'd love to have in my collection! If you aren't too keen on wearing lipstick, then this might be an option for you (that's why I thought I'd try them out).

I absolutely adore these! Because I eat so much, I rarely wear lip glosses for the sake of convenience but these hold their ground remarkably well for a gloss. I do say gloss, because the finish of these are incredibly sheeny. The pigmentation in these is insane, only needing one swipe to get full colour, however the darker colours such as Big Bang do stain so make sure that you're working fast if you apply out of your lip line accidentally. They wear off evenly, so they don't become patchy over the course of the day/night. The only qualms I have about this product are the awful fake apple smell they have, and the well in the doe foot applicator. This is so that going back into the tube for more is unnecessary, but it always leaves me with too much product on my mouth. As a result I've given up and started using a lip brush when I wear these.
