Love these wee sticks of goodness

I had some friends chatting to me about colourpop and went off to investigate. Oh heck! Stay away from their IG page if you are easily enabled!!

Talk about mega cheap! Except for their postage, that's kinda expensive. So I went in with 2 others and we all saved by splitting postage costs.

The packing is super simple! White and plastic. Reminds me of felt pens. I love the hologram logo and wording. Love how the end is the colour of the lippy inside. Easy to figure out with a quick look what tube you need.

The tube twists up the colour stick inside. It's cut on a angle and the end of the tube is angled as well. The lid clicks in hard which is great so it won't fall off in your bag

The actual lippy smells delicious. Vanilla caramel kinda. The product smooths over lips easily enough. I have Mac lippies that glide, these don't glide as such. The end I really like as its narrow and you can get into the edges of your lips easy.

The staying power of these little beauties for me is amazing! These last all day on me easy! Even have to rub them off at night. I rub them with a oil makeup remover. These don't dry out my lips like others have. They aren't moisturizing either. I have 4 of these and plan on adding to my collection really quick

Tips: Don't twist the colour up to much as you could break the end off easily.

Good for everyday wear.

I did a massive order on Colourpop as a treat to myself, unfortunately only a handful of the things I received I actually liked. The Lippie Stix were some of those. I brought the shades "Skimpy" and "Oh Snap" They wear nicely on and are hydrating and pigmented. I found one of major issues with most of the lip products I brought was the color variation, I looked online and at numerous reviews and swatches for these colors and then when they arrived most of them looked completely different, which I understand a slight change between online vs in person but these shades looked nothing similar. So most of the shades I received didn't suit me and as a result have put me off the brand and products a bit, even though these lippie stix are good quality - especially in regards to their pricing and they go on well and continuously wear well on the lips.

Tips: Be aware of shade variations.

ColourPop Lippies

I purchased a holiday set of 6 shades. They glide on so creamy and smooth. Pigmentation is good. Staying power . . . not so good. But for the price of these I would purchase more, I don't find having to re-apply a lippie through out the day a major.

Tips: Carry the lippie with you for touch ups. Apply a primer.

New Fave Lipsticks

I just made a huge colourpop order and I got a bunch of lippie stix, they have quickly become my new favourite lip sticks, they're super long lasting, they come in so many colours and are really affordable (the postage to nz is super pricey though) but I really like them so much, I can't think of anything I would change about them, they do have a slight scent but it's nothing offensive. All the shades I got were in a matte finish and they last all day without being drying,

Lippie Stix

After watching a huge haul and swatch video (*ahem* maybe four *ahem*) I decided to test these out after the rave review. I bought six - Cookie, Lumiere, Bound, LBB, Frida and Button.

I like the cute packaging, it's a point of difference and adds to the cute "Lippie Stix" title (which two separate people thought that I was just getting tongue tied over saying) The holographic label is sparkly and fun.

They are all gorgeous colours, great pigmentation, go on beautifully and smell yummy too! My favourite is Lumiere, I start the night out with NARS Anna on - but I take Lumiere out with me (I would be less upset to lose it and it's a perfect dupe)

The staying power for me for these hasn't been great. Some only last an hour or two, and transfer quite easily. But I'm happy to tote them along for reapplication. I was too cheap to buy the pencils - so they may have better staying power when lined with the lip pencil first.

I will definitely still be keeping my eyes peeled for new colours, the price point makes them worth not worrying about the short staying time for me.

Tips: Lumiere really is a great dupe for NARS Anna, just without the staying power.

Westie

This is the skinniest lip product Ive ever owned (apart from lip liners of course!). Ive never tried a stick lippie before. I was worried that it would snap easily but it didn't. I brought this ColorPop Lippie Stix in the shade Westie which is a baby pink matte lipstick. Its matte but oh so creamy! It sets so nicely and doesn't look patchy or drying. It lasts for quite a few hours with out touch ups. I love the smell of this lipstick. It smells like vanilla which is one of my fave scents. I haven't found any flaws with this product. I love it and have purchased more of this range.

These lippies are super affordable and retail for $6.50. They are amazing quality and last quite a while. Very well recommended :)

I NEED MORE

all i can say is i need more!! i just got one to try and i'm addicted. i got Luniere which is a matte hippie stick. it smells like vanilla and chocolate and caramel and really nice lip balms, hahaha. it's non-drying on me. true to colour on my lips (as in i don't have to pale out my lips pigment to see the try colour of the lippie). it's fast and easy to reapply after a meal. it is transferable...but hey, it's honestly no biggy xx

Tips: wipe out that inner hippie rim of your lips by putting your finger in-between your lips and pull it out. this will help stop the transfer of lippie onto your water bottle ;-)

Frida and Lumiere

After seeing all the reviews online and the unbelievable prices I just had to pick up some products! These Lippie Stix are only USD$5 each which is amazing. I joined in on an order with some friends though as the shipping can be quite expensive. I picked up two shades, Lumiere and Frida. Frida I picked up solely because my favourite artist is Frida Kahlo, I would have picked that one up no matter the shade!

The Lippie Stix's come in six different finishes; Cream, Glossy, Hyper-Glossy, Matte Pearlized, and Satin. I picked up Frida, a satin finish. It is a warm mid tone nude pink with a satin finish and is one of the shades created by Youtuber 'Coffee Break with Dani'. The Lumiere is a matte finish. It is a dusty mauve pink in a matte finish created by the YouTuber Kathleen Lights. I don't currently watch either of the YouTubers but I love that Colourpop collaborates with heaps of Youtubers as it is a nice way of bringing that community together (and marketing gold).

The packaging for these is lovely. I really like the white tubes... although they do kind of remind me of applicator tampons, but not enough to put me off. I really like the holographic print on them although on one that has been in my pocket for a while the writing has rubbed off. At the end of the lippy it has the shade of the lipstick which is one of my all time favourite things in a lippy. The lid has a excellent click to it so there is never any worry about it coming off. The part that twists to bring more lippy up is also coloured the same as the lippy which is a nice touch.

The lippy itself is much thinner than I would expect for a usual lippy but obviously big enough to do the job. Both of these go on to the lips very smoothly. They feel very comfortable on the lips, not drying or sticky. The wear time of these isn't outstanding, they last around 2 -3 hours and fade with drinking and eating, but I don't expect much more out of a lippy.

To be honest (which you would hope I was being), I don't think I will be purchasing more of these. I do love the packaging but there is nothing special about these that I can't get in another product, unless I fall in love with a specific shade.

Great review, I've been tempted by these but now I think I'll pass. Frida is my favourite artist too!

PARTY FOUL

Part Foul Lippie Stix, a rich mauve shade, almost Are and Be's twin. This lippie stix is soft and silky in texture when applied to the lip. Dries matte without over drying the lip. Definitely transfers so be careful if you touch your mouth, have it handy when you eat as you'll need to touch it up. It isn't a major downfall , and it doesn't go everywhere but it does shift.

I found this a little stubborn to remove after 8 hours, my best tip is to use a makeup remover balm on a damp cloth.

Longevity of this product was amazing. I've worn it for a short amount of time and for much longer periods of up to 8 hours. I didn't mind really touching up the Lippie Stix if I needed to but if you want one that doesn't shift and stays put these probably aren't best for you x

Matched with a lip liner there is no feathering or bleeding it sits beautifully on the lip.

The one thing I sort if dislike is the shape of the tip! I mean, personally? I can't apply it directly to my lips using it. I need to use a brush to help get the right application. I think if it was a little more rounded it'd be perfect.

Tips: Be sure to match it with a lip liner xz

yippie stix!

i have finally jumped on the lippie stix band wagon, and to be fair, i don't regret it. i have been a matte lippy girl through and through for yonks, but now, i've changed my tune.

they smell so good! it's not overly chemically, it's more like some sweet cookie or a faux vanilla. i also think the color pay off is absolutely wonderful. one swipe and my lips are covered!

what i really like about these little sticks though is the fact that they're not drying. a lot of lipsticks i've tried, regardless of finish, have been drying and have given me lip uglies, but these just sit on my face, making it look nicer than what it is. the formula is creamier than what i would think, but it's not a lipstick to bleed or feather, it just does what it's supposed to and i appreciate that.

no, its not incredibly long wearing, but it wears long enough to go out and have lunch, and it applies over itself easily, whereas a lot of lipsticks that i've tried don't play nice. so yeah, i'd repurchase.
