Obssesed

I love this lipstick, I am not a liqiud lipstick fan but after using this OMG my holy grail right there, it feels amazing and looks so vibrant and pretty, the colours are amazing i own 3 of these and I just cannot wait to purchase more. The only thing I dont like is layering it because it ends up looking flakey and dry and just not good at all. overall I am pleased with this product and wouldnt have a doubt about it .

Tips: DONT LAYER it on . it ends up looking very flakey and you definitely wouldnt want lipstick looking flakey on your lips

Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick

I purchased Doll Parts in the limited edition Christmas packaging from Beautylish.

The lipstick comes in a clear round tube with Jeffree's logo printed on it. The tube is good as you can see the colour inside, and also how much product is remaining.

The Doll Parts shade doesn't have any discernible scent, but some of the other shades (particularly the summer shades) have special scents added to them.

The formula is quite thin which helps when applying it with the doe-foot applicator. A little goes a long way!

It has really good staying power but does tend to come off from the centre of my mouth a lot faster than the outside edges of my lips. It's not too drying but I do find that after a few hours it gets a bit crumbly.

My main issue with this lipstick is that the colour on the websites (Jeffree's site as well as Beautylish) show it as being a lot lighter and more doll-pink than the one I received. I've also checked swatches on instagram and mine still seems to be a bit darker and more mauve than it should. I still like the colour and get a lot of compliments when I wear it, but because of this inconsistency I've not bought any more shades from the range.

JStar Liquid Lip Longlasting but Not Transferproof

I have two of these liquid lipsticks. Masochist and Hoe Hoe Hoe which was part of the Christmas 2015 limited edition and then got renamed Rich Blood and made part of the permanent collection. I really love both colors.

Masochist - Is a bright berry red but like a very dark fuschia shade. It's a pinky red shade. This one is completely matte.

Rich Blood - Not a bright red but not a burgundy. It's sort of blue based and has a slightly cool undertone. While most of J Star's liquid lipsticks are matte this one has a slight purple shimmer to it. It's like a good sultry, Christmas red but I think almost any skin shade can pull this color off. I do find the consistency of this liquid slightly more wet than the other one and this shade seems to transfer and bleed a bit more than the other shade.

The think I love about these liquid lipsticks is that it goes very opaque the color stays for a long time on your lips, plus the shades are gorgeous. I find this brand a little less drying than another brand of liquid lipstick however, it does feel a bit more tacky in texture on once applied. I find I have a lot of color still on my lips like four hours easily without fading. However, if I do the kiss test on my hand or someone or drink water there is transfer. I find that a bit annoying especially since it says kisses are okay when you look up each shade on the site. Despite that I find I still have a lot of color still on my lips despite transfer. If I eat even food with no oil the lipstick will wear off in the middle, but considering I ate I still have a lot color on my lips. Another downside with this liquid lipstick is once I start eating I find it bleeds and transfers all around my mouth. To be honest I never really had a problem with lipstick bleeding with any other brand. I don't own any of the light shades in J Star's range so I don't know if it's just the dark shades that do this. I really do want Androgyny and Gemini at some point so I guess I'll find out if it's just the reds and darker shades or if the more neutral tones have the problem as well. I do like that it is long lasting and that it's cruelty free and vegan, but I don't feel I can give it five stars considering the price and promises plus the fact that it bleeds.

Tips: Before you do your makeup exfoliate your lips and use a lip balm to prep it. Then wipe off the lip balm before you apply. If you tend to make mistakes when it comes to applying liquid lipstick like me then have a Q-tip with a gel based liquid lipstick remover to erase any mistakes. A white/clear lipliner does help to reduce the chance bleeding around your mouth. If you think this might be transfer proof on you, kiss the back of your hand and test before you kiss someone who might share your appreciation to wear that shade of lipstick where you want to smooch them since this is a longer lasting lipstick.

"Witch Lipstick" thanks nana

I currently have 3 shades in my possession.

Hoe Hoe Hoe is a moussey red, between the shades Unicorn Blood and Redrum, and has a shimmer in it which is gorgeous. It was a limited edition release for the holiday season. I find if I have to reapply it goes cakey and weird, and that's because of the glitter in it. It lasts a really long time though, and it fades nicely too.

Doll Parts, which is a pink, but a cool toned pink? It's formula is thicker than that of Hoe Hoe Hoe and I really like it. It was also a limited edition release for the holidays but I feel like it's coming back. When I first wore it, I couldn't actually see it on my lips, but I know it's there. I find this lasts a long time and it doesn't fade too much or give me butthole lips(fades) . If I have to reapply it does so nicely, too.

Scorpio - This is the wateriest lipstick I have from JS and I'm not impressed, which is a shame because I really like the color. It's a purple toned grey, on me, and my nana calls it my witch lipstick. It smells like cat pee and turns into butthole lips after about an hour. His CS team told me to subscribe to his YT channel for tips on how to wear it when I complained. No joke.

I really like these lipsticks. For the most part they last a decent few hours on me, and I don't have to reapply. I'd probably buy more, but he would have to make a shade that I actually liked, as his last ones have just been awful, in my opinion. And if the formula was all the same as Doll Parts then we wouldn't have an issue there, either!

HIGH quality product

This liquid lipstick is so smooth and easy to apply. Radical colour range. Just a shame they aren't all in stock more often. Cool packaging.

BEST Liquid lip on the market

Whilst this is one of the more pricy liquid lip options out there it is well worth the price. I have three shades, celebrity skin, androgyny and unicorn blood. I'm quiet pale so all the shades look a little bit darker on me than they do on most people so keep that in mind if your choosing between shades (for example if you want a nude lip, shade I'm nude will be closer to a nude than celebrity skin, Posh spice will be too dark). They go on really easily, kiss proof but not food proof. They should be fine if your going out for drinks but you might need a touch up.

Tips: Make sure you shake well before use to make sure the pigment is dispersed, otherwise some colors might look a bit patchy

An easy to wear matte lip

I'm not really a lipstick person as I don't like the maintanence of having to reapply all the time. This is where matte lipsticks fit in really well for me. I don't have to worry about smudging or checking to see if it's faded constantly. The downside is of course getting super dry lips! Jefree lippys though are the least drying mattes I have tried (ok I haven't tried many though!). They are super light weight on and you pretty much can forget you are wearing anything on your lips at all. The downside to it being super comfortable though is that these are not super long lasting. You can drink cold drinks without it coming off but I find coffee makes a little bit come off and pretty much anything you eat takes it off too even if it's not an oily food. Thats a bit of a bummer but I suppose you do get a good few hours with it looking really good.

The packaging on this is nice and compact. I used to not like it as I preferred the longer, slender versions of other brands but I've grown to prefer this style now. I also really like the pink lid with stars of the usual packaging. The limited editions have the same style but different colours. The cap does up securely and kind of clicks into place. Some of these are nicely scented and others have a more chemically smell. I don't notice any taste or smell once on my lips. The doe foot is nice and generally there is enough on the tip to do both my lips perfectly. It is also really easy to get a perfect line but I do like to use a lip liner with the darker shades.

I own androgyny, mannequin, watermelon soda and I'm nude. I have previously owned posh spice and celebrity skin but have sold those as I didn't feel like they suited me. My watermelon soda and I'm nude are still in their boxes as I haven't gotten around to using them yet. I love both the other shades. Androgyny is a gorgeous darker sort of purply brown shade. Mannequin is my favourite. It is my perfect slightly darker nude. I have worn this so many times and have used up around 1/4 of the tube which is a lot for me with being a non lippy wearer! I would definitely repurchase this if I ever did manage to run out.

I would recommend these lipsticks but I do understand there is a lot of controversy surrounding Jefree, I personally don't care too much for him but I love his makeup so it's hard for me to really pick a side. I find it annoying how when shades go out of stock, they can stay out of stock for months before being sold again. So if you see a popular shade, don't think too much on it as it may be a while before you see it again. I do like that he is expanding the shade range too. I would never wear crazy lip colours and most of the collection to begin with was very out there colours, now there is a lot more nudes and wearable shades for all skin colours as well.

Light weight and opaque

I like these liquid lipsticks and I think they’re a good addition to any liquid lipstick addict’s collection. I own 6 shades - 3 nudes and 3 bolds (FYI: none of the adventurous shades) and I find that the formula is generally consistent – lightweight and opaque.

The only thing I found different amongst the shades is the drydown of the product. Androgyny and Masochist dried the fastest and the most evenly, whereas Leo and Unicorn Blood seemed to dry down section by section. It's not a big deal but your lips do look unfinished until it's all the same "finish".

The packaging is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes with its pink lids and rose gold lettering. I'm happy to report that the lettering does not rub off when it comes into contact with things in your bags! I don’t particularly like the fragrance, it reminds me of grapes mixed with an artificial scent. The product lasts a good 2-3 hours without eating or drinking but over time the product fades away in the middle of bottom lip and then leaves a white rim inside my mouth. I must say, “fading” is not as bad as the product “breaking away” or “crumbling” but it still looks bad.

One thing I love about this product is that it's not drying on my lips. When I remove them at the end of the day, it doesn’t feel like my lips have been under a layer of paint; sure my lips aren't feeling plump either but atleast I know that it has been treated well during the day. I bought my lot from Beauty Bliss, Beautylish and Jeffree Star's website and it's a product I'd repurchase.

The star of liquid lips

Oh my god if I had to stick with only one lippy for the rest of my life it would for sure be one out of Jeffree's range. These liquid lips are absolutely amazing. From watching Jeffree's youtube videos too I can tell that he always put an effort to only put out products he believes are top quality and I can certainly say they are.

I currently own almost all of these (probably around 20) and am waiting on his new 2016 Holiday collection to arrive in my mailbox. So that's saying something.

The dry down is quick and looks beautiful. Most importantly to me the pigment is a-ma-zing. I have never used a liquid lip so pigmented. They stay for ages too unless you eat oily food. A lot of the lipsticks also have very minimal transfer (i find my Masochist has massive transfer though). I have also never suffered from dry lips from using this product. And the best part? They are 100% cruelty free and vegan!

Would 100% recommend these to anyone.

Tips: Exfoliate your lips with a lip scrub before use for the best possible result.
