Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner Review

This liner is great for giving you a perfect, smooth, thick or thin line. It is easy to apply. Great for beginners or shaky hands as it comes off easy with makeup remover and doesn't stain. Once applied it stays on well and doesn't do anything like crack or wear off.

It's a good and dark product, but you need a very steady hand and concentration to apply the gel eyeliner

When I first bought this I loved it. It comes with a really nice professional quality brush thats really easy to use to get a nice line. the lasting power of the eyeliner itself was pretty good. However as it gets older, I am finding the consistency changing a bit which is strange. On warmer/hot days, I would not wear this again as it transfers like crazy onto your upper eyelids which is not a good look.

I think i will use this again because its not empty yet... but probably wouldn't repurchase.

This does everything a gel eyeliner should do. The tiny brush that comes with it is great! The product itself leaves a good, solid opaque black line and is easy to apply. The only thing is, it dries up very quickly. It can also smudge a little if you have oily eyelids.

I do really like this gel liner, it is a beautiful jet black colour and is defiantly opaque, it slides across my lid easily, and stays in place. The only thing I don't find too great about it is the fact it smudges, it does slip under my eye slightly if applied to the waterline, or if I use it to make a flick with it will smudge if I touch that area of my eye, it doesn't however transfer to my eyelid if i use it near my lashes!

Not a huge fan gel liner I do love that it is easy to apply ! But it smudges so easily and doesn't last very long and the colour also fades quite quickly !

I liked the idea of using a gel liner as it would make a more slick line which it did however I found that it didn't last as long as a pen would on my skin and it faded quite fast. The brush that came with it is pretty good compared to other brands I have used.

While this may be the best eyeliner I've found it's still not perfect, maybe my expectations are too high? It does last a long time but smudge-proof and waterproof for 24 hours absolutely not, maybe more like 4 or 5 hours depending on how hot the day is. That being said it is a staple in my makeup bag and the essential product for doing that amazing cat eye flick. I also think the brush is pretty amazing.

This eyeliner is pretty good. It has good staying power and good definition but I did find the brush a bit thick and average to apply. I look to use this for everyday as it doesn't smudge and lasts awhile.

I've always been a liner girl but thought I would try a gel liner as I had heard so much. This I really black which is great but I feel it looks a bit harsh on me. It is also something that you have to practise with. I found it hard to apply evenly. Again it's not the products fault but operator error. I think I'm just safer with a pencil.
