Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara - Washable

Oh my! What a great mascara. First off, I love the packaging: a chunky tube with embossed lettering, which makes it easy to handle and hold, and all in a pretty yet sophisticated metallic rose shade. And the brush is quite flexible, which surprisingly (for me) made it super easy and comfortable to apply the mascara; it feels like it's sort of wrapping and holding the lashes so they get a perfect, even coat each time you swipe. (A downside to the flexibility... Mine came with the brush folded in half inside the tube! So I had to hold it bent back for a while to return it to its proper shape. All fine now though.) The product itself is lovely, and goes on smooth as cream. What's most different for me here though is that it's a super-buildable formula, so you can get whatever look you want. The first time I tried it, after one swipe, my lashes fanned out prettily and looked a bit longer, and I didn't really want to add more coats, because that's usually where the clumpy globby thing starts. But after another few passes, my lashes just looked even longer and curvier. I don't think they looked dramatically thicker, just a bit fuller, but with that and the length, my 'new' lashes really made my eyes pop. Even after using the mascara now for a couple of weeks, I keep getting a pleasant surprise when I see myself in the mirror. And best of all, my lashes look really natural and soft and feathery; no stiff, globby, thick bits anywhere. The mascara has great staying power too. When it was just applied, I got a bit of transferred product on my brow bones (because my lashes were suddenly so darn long!). Whipped that off with a cotton bud, and had no smudges or flakes for the rest of the day, and only the tiniest hint of shadowing on the lower lids by night time. Oh, and one day I had a mega laughing fit – the type where you end up with tears streaming down your face – and the mascara didn't budge! Yet it's beautifully washable... I just use my normal cream wash at night. No need for makeup remover. Which I LOVE. And one final yay: no stinging or itching around my eyes. Which for me is a bit unusual, as I've reacted to a lot of mascaras in the past, even some other Maybelline ones. My lashes are black and probably average in terms of thickness and length, so they generally look ok – or so I thought. I'm amazed by the difference this mascara makes. If you want a really dramatic, false-lash look, this one likely wouldn't be your holy grail. But if you're after beautifully long, lifted, eye-opening lashes, I'd definitely give this a whirl.

I love the design of this mascara bottle. I have to start by saying I was not disappointed. The brush has thin bristles so already there isn't a worry about lots of product clumping. Applied to lashes easily, separating with no unwanted clumps. Elongated the lashes and once dry doesn't feel hard. I was pleasantly pleased that when I touch the lashes the mascara doesn't fall off in little bits. No smell at all which is what I would expect being brand new. 1 coat for day wear, 2 for evenings for a bolder lash.

Overall really happy with this and would recommend for a mascara that lengthens your eye lashes.

First of all loved the look of the mascara - loved the uniform shape (not bulky or bullet shaped) and loved the rose gold colour - would be happy for that to fall out my bag lol The brush was lovely to use - long and flexible and not overloaded with product as sometimes is the case. Definitely washable and I can wash it off in shower which is so nice when I’m tired and I just want my eyes to feel clean. In saying that the product stayed put all day and I didn’t end up with raccoon eyes.

This is not the product if you want vampy - false eyelash looking lashes. But it does give you lovely length, good colour and beautifully separated lashes that don’t feel clunky and heavy!

I like most Maybelline mascaras but this is my new fav. I don’t normally like waterproof mascara but this one has changed my mind. I’ve had waterproof mascaras that were so hard to remove, even with the no “best” eye makeup removers and I would still have some on my lashes. But this came off with just my cleanser! I was pleasantly surprised, so that was a huge tick for me. The formula is great too - it doesn’t clump up or smudge, and I do two coats. That was a big tick for me. The brush is good. I normally don like the thin brushes that are kind or spacey, I typically go for brushes that are fat and have heaps of bristles, but this one was great. My lashes we long, looked thicker and my lashes didn’t stick together. It gives me that fake lash look, without the fake lashes :) I don’t wear fake lashes, so I don’t know what it’s like on those, but overall, I’ve found me a new favourite mascara

AMAZING! I couldn't wait for this to arrive. I had seen the reviews on TikTok & was super excited for it to hit the shelves. Then I got selected to trial the product! Oh. My. God... so blessed. The mascara is beautiful, both to look at and use. I was impressed from the get go. The packaging has before & after photos, and I must admit I was doubtful my result would be anything like the photos, but... WOW, the difference is astounding! Seriously amazing. The vessel itself is pleasing to look at, the raised lettering is very edgy. Just LOVE that the liquid isn't clumpy and the brush applies the mascara evenly on your lashes. I trialled the washable version and found it washed off easily when cleansing my face, leaving no grimy bits! It is now my official, number one mascara!

The Marcara tube stands out being a beautiful pink colour with 3D writing. The mascara wand or flex tower brush is very flexible and while this allows you to maneuver around the corners of your eyes and define each lash, I did find it a little tricky to use as it's a bit flimsy.

The formula appears very thin in consistency almost serum like. I found it went on with minimal clumping and there is time to do a few coats before it dries.

It gives extremely good length but unfortunately little to no volume. I have thin eyelashes so after more then two costs my eyelashes looked a little spidery. I was worried it might flake/smudge easily being washable but it hasn't been an issue so far.

I liked that it washed off really easily. I just used my normal cleanser and was left with no panda eyes. I have sensitive eyes and found this fine to wear.

Nice alternative to fake lashes. Happily recommend.

I always use washable mascaa as I have a bad habit of rubbing my eys and breaking my lashes. The mascara does feel tough & brittle so I think it may break my lashes - didn't get a chance to test it this way. However the mascar comes off really well, either with warm water or cleanser. (Warm water was a better success). But the best part is that I didn't get panada eyes!! Even after 2 hours of a sweaty karate training, my lashes were on point and no smudges!

Great to try out a new product, l was impressed with the stylish case and hoped the mascara would be as good as the packaging it came in . It was a nice easy brush, and not too big, l find with bigger brushes they smudge on the corner of my checks Was easy to remove with my micellar water. Would say it gave good coverage and improved my lash length too. Great product thanks

I've always avoided washable mascara because I'm a bit of an eye rubber which causes mascara to smudge. However the convenience of my mascara not smudging or running was becoming outweighed by the inconvenience of having to use a separate cleanser, or scrubbing my lashline to remove it.

I was really surprised by how good this mascara is - it doesn't smudge or flake, even with the occasional eye rub but it does wash off easily and cleanly.

Performance wise this definitely lengthens and volumises but I don't think it layers well. I love the look of one layer, its perfect for day wear and a subtle evening look, but if you want more drama I don't think this is the one for you.

I love the cute tube and being from Maybelline it puts it in the affordable range.

I have sensitive eyes and generally go for a wash-off mascara to prevent irritation when taking it off.

This products definitely delivers on length and volume, without the flakes, smudges and product transfer of other wash-off products. I was impressed with how this lasted through the day.

I like the packaging and wand - the handle is a good size to comfortably hold during use.

This is a great product if you want a great mascara without the hassle of removing it. If you have sensitive eyes, I'd definitely recommend this one!
