Maybelline Define-a-lash Mascara Review

Got given this as a present (I think it was actually a re-gift). I am usually a huge fan of Maybelline but this one was a let down. Not nearly enough coverage and really difficult to actually get into the lashes. I ended up having to use it with another product. So not a fan...

I got this mascara as a freebie and I do like it but it's definitely not one of my favourites. I find that all it does to my lashes is colour them black and not add any additional volume and length. But in saying that I do find it works quite well if I'm just having a chill day at home and still wanna wear some mascara as it just makes my usually light lashes look a bit more normal and not like I don't have any at all

i saw alot of good things on this mascara, unfortunately for my liking it wasn't that great!

the brush isnt great and i found the formula gets quite clumpy on the second layer. this mascara is also REALLY hard to get off at night! i found trying to get it off actually hurt my eyes. the only good thing i have to say is that its actually quite black unlike others iv used

This mascara didnt seem to work for me at all. It didnt really look like I had put any on until a few coats later and took a lot of time to look right. I am glad I got this for free and didnt waste that much money on it because I would have been very disappointed.

I brought this product excited about the difference it would make to my eyelashes sadly this was not so, i found the wand would drag on my lashes as i applied the mascara. I found it hard to apply the mascara and found myself putting on about 3 or 4 coats just to get the desired effect. since i have used a different wand in the bottle so not to waste the product. The wand definetly wasn't what i was expecting.

Picked this up while looking for a new mascara with a wow factor, after reading reviews on here.

the tube is cute and pink so appealing,it's about 13cm long so fits into your make up bag easily. however the brush is so flimsy and moves back and forth a lot when applying product. the actual brush itself is a rubber spikey style rather than bristles.

the texture of the product is quite rubbery and I get "threads" when pulling out of the container, once applied on my lashes it resembles a tube but I really don't like, it also had a lot of fall out and left me looking like a panda. I did like that the black is very black-so this was a bonus however it doesn't layer well and you end up with clumpy lashes

it's supposed to be a volume mascara however it didn't do anything a curler couldn't do.

the scent smells almost like hair dye which was a turn off.

This mascara is probably a great “first timer” mascara. It can be applied lightly so it’s not too KAPOW. The curl does not hold well unfortunately. It does define the lashes but don’t apply a second coat or clumps will be looming!

Pleased to receive a new mascara for free and the pink packaging is gorgeous. Goes on well and like the effect of longer looking lashes but it smudges after awhile and on my eyelids the panda look is not great. I wouldn't buy it myself but as a back up mascara to have its ok.

So i got thia mascara for free through a facebook promotion and i thought i would try use it after applying my rimmel lash accelarator and it was a complete FAIL ! I recommend not applying this on top of another mascara unless you want the stringy wirey look BUT this is good on it's own when you want that no makeup natural look , it darkens ur lashes and still makes your lashes look soft and natural .

I received this for free in the mail from a sample website (forgot name!) my friend gave me the link to. At first when I received it, thought it will be really good to try it out, curled my lashes as usual, applied, and I honestly didn't really see much of a difference. My eyes didn't stand out and they seemed ok looking. Although I loved this after put on false lashes and applied after.
