Maybelline Colossal Up To 36H Waterproof Mascara

If you're after for a hard-working mascara, look now further than Colossal Up To 36HR Mascara. This beauty stick like the proverbial to a blanket. I have naturally long eyelashes, and pretty much every mascara will leave little blink marks on my cheeks. Not this though. It applies easily, with no clumps and dries quite quickly. It doesn't curl, but it definitely made my eyelashes look fuller. I found I did need a few layers to get the full effect, but I didn't mind that. I'd rather than than a thick, lumpy fluid. I did a trial to see how long it really lasted, and two showers, two sleeps later it was still hanging on. No flaking. No smudging. I'm 99% sure it'd last you through a marathon if you so desired! It came off easily with an oil-based cleaner. I liked the size of the product too - slightly smaller than my other mascaras, it'd be great to chuck in a handbag etc. Although, you don't really need to as you won't need to reapply it. I have quite sensitive eyes, often with eczema on my eyelids, and this product didn't irritate me at all. I'll definitely be looking to purchase again (I was part of the trial team). With masks now putting the emphasis on eyes, rather than lipsticks, a good mascara is a must. This ticked the boxes for me.

The first time I tried this mascara, I was dissatisfied by the results as apart from making my eyelashes look blacker, it didn't look like it had done much but I gave it a second chance and I LOVE IT. Application was easy and it went om smoothly without clumping. My lashes looked fuller and longer and it lasted throughout the whole day and came off nicely using a micellar water wipe without giving me panda eyes. Glad I gave it a second chance.

I love this! It gives volume to your lashes without any clumps and makes your lashes look so natural with that extra volume. Went out and used this product and it didn’t smudge at all. Definitely use this for your daily wear.

This mascara looked promising for creating volume as it has a large brush, however on application so little of the product comes off the brush with each swipe it wasn't giving me any volume. It looks very natural which is odd given it's claims. I will say that it doesn't clump, but that's because not enough product ends up on your lashes for this to happen. I tried two coats and still had significantly less volume than many other volumising mascaras that I've tried in the past. It did however hold up it's claims of being waterproof. I wore it to a funeral so it had a good cry test and it didn't budge. Overall it just didn't do much for my lashes and I won't be reaching for it again.

My first impressions of this mascara is that it is easy to hold and the brush has plenty of bristles. They seem finer than other brushes I have used before. When using the brush I found it went on smoothly and there was no clumping at all. I think the finer bristles and increased number of them really helped to separate and coat each lash well. I did run over my lashes a few times to build up a little thickness but I didn't overdo it so that they wouldn't clump at all. After wearing for the day there was no rubbing, smudging or flaking from my lashes. I love that it actually made my lashes look dark and bold, while actually looking quite natural. I think this would be a great everyday mascara and also quite affordable to buy. The packaging is great too, as you can easily see what you getting and it isn't contained in a huge box for a small item. Overall I think this is a great product and would definitely recommend as an affordable, effective, everyday mascara.

I've always been a fan of trying any new volumising mascaras so was stoked to be picked to try this one. Packaging is basic but looks good in black, writing is clear and bold. The wand is pretty standard as far as mascara wands go, the colour is a nice intense black and the product itself is a good consistency- nothing worse than watery mascaras when they're first applied and go everywhere. Definitely got some good lash volume out of this but doesn't give lengthening effect that I like in a mascara. Its very waterproof- doesn't flake off or smudge as I found out after getting stuck in an Auckland rainstorm- was impressed at the staying power. Overall its a great mascara for volume and price wise its fab, but I ended up pairing with another mascara to get the length I prefer.

I really liked this mascara from the moment I applied it. The brush nicely separates my lashes, and the product doesn't clump. I applied it twice for a fuller/darker effect, which looked really good. It gives a nice natural long look - unlike some mascaras that go on so thick and make your lashes look heavy and clumpy. Definitely does what it says "smudge-proof, water resistant and won't flake". The only thing I didn't like about this mascara, is that I found it really hard to remove. I have always only ever used a micellar water to remove my make-up (including mascara). However this product was really difficult to take off with micellar water. Perhaps it would be fine if you have a specific eye make-up remover, but I refuse to spend money on one when I can use a micellar for everything. For this reason only, I wouldn't purchase this mascara.

I have been wanting to find a waterproof mascara, and this one really STICKS. It doesn’t just fall off in water without smudges, it’s doesn’t even budge. So if you want a mascara that doesn’t come off during the day, this is a go to. I did find that didn’t go on as nicely as other mascaras I have used, it didn’t spread and volumize them that much.

I went into this review with a history of using their mascaras, and all being super clumpy and staining.

Maybelline have upped their game on this one. This mascara is definitely clumpless as they claim. You can youse a few coats to build up. When used on my lower lashes the brush is a big for them. This means that doesnt coat the ends of my lower lashes that well. It’s okay with me though because that helps prevent smudging.

It definitely lasts all day and appears to be pretty waterproof! Yes I have cry l-tested this.

I use a rosehip makeup wipe to remove my makeup and it took most of it off, and then in the morning there are remains. Thats why they recommend using an oil based makeup remover.

Overall I thtink this is a great dupe for Benefit’s Better Than Wet Mascara.
