Plum Galaxy Gitter?

Love the colour of this, but have only used it once due to the chunky glitter. I bought it online a few years ago and I'm not sure if this is a bad batch or not, but it seems like it had a heavy glitter overspray. When I went to apply it to my lid the product just worked itself away. I've kept it and will probably try it again at some point and try and get it to work a bit better - it's such a lovely colour. Excellent amount of product for the price also.

Revlon Diamond Lust

I have this eyeshadow in Starry Pink, it's a lot different than i thought it would be, its very glittery and makes a lot of mess! I really love the purple/pinky colour of it but i cant seem to get it looking like that on my eyes, the more i apply, the more it just falls everywhere. It is a nice eyeshadow to wear on a night out but i like to apply a little bit over my other eyeshadows just for that glittery look that is not over the top.

Average at Best

I got this for $3 on NZ Sale. Not sure why I actually bought it as I had no use for a glittery eye shadow, but then again, why do I buy any of the make up I do? To experiment I guess.

Fallout of this product is pretty severe...even applying it on top of a primer didn't work. As the day progressed, little flakes of this product made their way to the sides of my nose and under my eye.

TBH, if I was going to use this product again, I would use just a small amount on top of another eye shadow colour to create that glitter effect. Definitely wouldn't use on its own.

Not a favourite

I have three of these glittery shadows: 110 Starry Pink (which is a cool pale pink and is shown above), 105 Plum Galaxy (which is a deep plum) and 120 Night Sky (Black with silver shimmer).

The packaging of these is nothing special but they are nice and sturdy and I like that you can see the shade through the packaging. I do wish they just left the brush out and made the compact a little smaller as the brush is the standard useless freebie included in most drugstore products, just not worth including.

To be quite honest I am pretty disappointed with all three of these shadows in terms of pigmentation and fallout but this is greatly improved with a primer. With these a primer is a MUST! Without they have poor colour payoff and you will end up with flakes of glitter all over your cheeks. With a primer though and can get a nice amount of colour and the glitter seems to stay in place a lot better.

Not a favourite product of mine and I don't use them that often due to the glitter mess created when trying to apply (and have now taken residence in the back of my makeup draw). I definitely wouldn't pay the full price of 12.99 for these shadows as I don't think they are worth it. I picked mine up for $4 or $5 each at postie plus and wouldn't repurchase (even at the discounted price). Would recommend either there are far better glitter shadows around.

Tips: Use a primer!! and hold a tissue over cheeks when applying. You also might want to do your eye makeup first and then foundation etc so the glitter fallout isn't such an issue.

fallout frenzy

The pigmentation is amazing the color is so rich but the fallout is a mess an annoying as heck . I like the glitteriness an the color is pretty but the formula of the eyeshadow is kinda chalky/powdery. i will use it again as i like the color but its not good for more detailed eye looks. this would be great for little aspiring make up artists an kids :)

Glittery eyes & Face!

I really love the colours as I'm a sucker for glitter things, but this goes a little over board, The colour does not last (need a primer underneath it) and the glitter ends up over your face which is super annoying. I would use it again but for a party that involves dress up and glam but not on a daily basis.

Tips: Use a primer and beware of glitter going EVERYWHERE.

Glittery mess!

I am not usually a big fan of glitter fullstop but I saw this Revlon Luxurious Color Diamond Lust Eyeshadow and decided I needed to have it in my collection. I used it in my smokey eye looks to dab in the tear duct area to give it a bit of pop and sparkle. I found this to be very cheap looking in regards to texture and how it is applied. It's very chalky and falls off my brush as soon as I move it but it did blend very easily and well with the eyeshadows I teamed it with. The sparkle goes everywhere and never stays in once place where I apply it. Although it does leave my eyes pretty and glittery using it just seems like more of a hassle than anything else so have ceased using it altogether. Being Revlon I had big expectations because usually their products are high quality but I was bitterly disappointed with Revlon Luxurious Color Diamond Lust Eyeshadow.

Tips: Use an eyeshadow sponge applicator because it doesn't hold very well to a brush.

Horrible!

The fallout from this shadow is the worst I have ever worked with. It is near impossible to get this on without ending up with glitter all over your face. On top of that, the shadow is incredibly chalky and has very little pigmentation - considering how much glitter you can see in the pan, and how much glitter goes everywhere, you get very little glitter payoff on your eyes. I have tried both wet and dry, and with different bases.

On a bit of a happier note, I really love the packaging of these shadows. They are very sleek, simple, and the clear cover helps you easily find the colour you are looking for. The pan is a decent size and you get a lot of product for your money.

I love the Matte ones from the Luxurious range, just don't like the glitter ones at all.

I totally agree with you on this shadow. They look so beautiful in the pan but are awful to use :(
