if you want colour

I love these palettes, they are pigmented and have a nice texture, they're fun and great for experimenting and letting your creative side out, though the aren't everyday shades you can work them into any look for a pop of colour. Packaging is sleek, not bulky and easy to store.

Tips: Great wet

Alchemy pallette - magic!

I loved this product before I even opened it. It comes in a beautiful tin - the type that needs to be displayed rather than tidied away. When I ordered the palette, I was a little bit nervous about it potentially too loud for everyday use due to its duochrome content, which ironically, is exactly why I chose the palette. I'm a bit of a magpie, I can't resist shiny things, especially those that shift in colour.. I HAD to have this makeup!!!

Anyways, the colours are VERY pigmented and loud in the tin. I figured that I would have a test drive of them since I wasn't going to leave the house that day. Really glad I did. The trick to using this amazing stuff is playing with it first.. if you use it wet with a fine brush you can create some amazing eyeliner colours (its 'that' pigmented). Basically you get colour as vivid as eyeliner right down to a subtle effect using this palette. Half the trick to using this product is choosing what brush to use. The cakes are VERY soft, you don't need to rub with the brush to transfer the colour, just dab. Even the orange colour, which I didn't think I'd wear in a million years looks like a subtle amber with the right application.

I love the effect I get of making a second line of coloured eyeliner right above my back gel eyeliner. All the colours work well with the other colours in the palette, I particularly like the green over the top of the orange toning the orange down. I can't say enough for the pearl colour as a brow highligher or a base either! Best colour. Ever.

I love all the colours in this palette, its just that particular pearl colour does some amazing things that no other white eyeshadow does.

As usual, lime crime lives up to its reputation for staying power. I have been working on the farm today wearing it, and it hasnt budged.. fyi, I'm not wearing a primer either.

I find it does tend to drift powder on to my cheeks when applied. Not sure if its user or the product. All in all, I adore this product!!

Tips: Create a beautiful eyeliner by applying to a wet fine brush. For soft and subtle, just gently dab the brush to the cake to transfer to the brush.

Lime Crime Fantasy Palettes

I love the colours and packaging of all the palettes, but I found the formula really irritated my eyes. I couldn't use it without them watering, so it may not be great for sensitive eyes. Colour payoff is good if you use a primer, but tI found them quite difficult to blend.

Tips: Use a good eyeshadow primer in conjunction with them, avoid if you have really sensitive eyes or are allergic to mica.

China Doll Palette

These eyeshadows are incredibly smooth, pigmented and crease proof. By far the best quality eyeshadows i own. They have such a vibrant and creamy texture to them which looks flawless on the skin. They blend well together and i haven't experienced any creasing. I am definitely going to pick up the other palettes in this range. Worth getting, you will enjoy them i promise!

Tips: I find that using a white base makes these colours even more vibrant and beautiful. Apply with a light hand because the colours are very strong. Use tissue under eye to catch any fall out.

Aquataenia + Alchemy

-Packaging- : Fantastical adorable purple and gold embossed metallic tins. They are lightweight and the perfect size to chuck in your handbag on nights out. On the back of the tins it lists the colours as well as the important fact that it is a vegan-cruelty free product.

*Aqautaenia* : This palettes shadows have a very nice subtle pearlescent glitter to them and have strong pigmentation especially when you use the lime crime eye shadow primer underneath. I tend to end up using the Pearl-ple and Atlanteal the most, often layered together to create a really pretty mermaid effect. Seahorse Discourse is a great green shade and I find it quite flattering especially when my hair is red. It also looks fab teamed up with Nautilus Prime (a deep purpley blue). Coral of the story is a sweet princess peachy shimmer which I often use as a highlighter above my chosen matching shade.

*Alchemy* : Duochrome! I love the way this Spellbound, a lovely cream off white is fantastic for highlighting under the eyebrows. Lucky Charm is a mossy green with hints of copper (on my skin anyway!), it's vibrant and shimmery and best applied wet for full intensity. Love Potion No.9 is my pick of the palette. Even though it's not as intense pigmentation wise, the shift from purple to green creates a stunning affect. Definitely apply with a primer though! Divination is a smoky teal which again works well combined with other shades from this range. Incantation is extremely coppery orange, if you want a bright popping eye, this is it.

Endurance : I usually only wear eye shadow when i'm going out at night so can't speak for it lasting all day but it certainly lasts all night! I have never had it fade or crease too dramatically. It takes a bit of effort to remove because of it's super pigmentation but it's worth the extra hassle. I find it comes off really easily if I add a tiny bit of moisturiser to my remover.

Overall : LOVE! Personally Aquataenia wins over Alchemy because the colours work better for me (very pale, dark hair, light eyes). Alchemy is close behind but the colours do tend to look a teensy tiny bit "muddy" (which is just one of the perils of duochrome) on my skin. I think they are worth the price and will be buying again when these run out :)

Tips: Most shades look best with a primer underneath. If you want the full boldness I would also apply wet.

Thanks for the review! Its not a cheap product, so its nice to read a thorough detailed review. I've just ordered the alchemy palette, which comes as part of a set with 2 of their opaque lippies for $100. :)

Lime Crime d'Antoinette Palette

I have had the Lime Crime d'Antoinette palette which I purchased from PaganMarieNZ. I adore the cute purple tin packaging and the pastel shades are all very beautiful. The eyeshadows are easy to apply, blend and long lasting. I find the Lime Crime eyeshadows a bit hard to remove when removing my makeup, these eyeshadows seems to stains a little bit so they don't fully come off when removing them.

Marie Antoinette palette

Wow it was like receiving something special in the post, and it was. Love how the packaging is almost as good as the product. Little purple metal tin with gold pattern I just can't hide this in the drawer. The colours are gorgeous for a fair skin girl like me, so highly pigmented so unlike me on my first effort, go easy a little really goes a long way with these colours, much better to start off minimal and build then have huge sparkling silver lids that because the shadow is so good it doesn't rub off without a little effort. Its super long lasting and was still where I placed it in the morning by the time I came to remove my makeup. I'm a huge fan of the range and every new product just makes my addiction stronger. It doesn't come with an applicator, which is fine by me as wearing glasses I have to pull the mirror on compacts and palettes close to my face and normally the little applicators fall out and go everywhere, plus I much prefer applying with my finger tip and then blending with brushes.

great packaging

I have all of the palettes and im such a HUGE fan of Doe deere and all her products. Packaging is soo cute love the hard tin too makes its super sturdy in my kit :) The colour payoff is phenomenal so pigmented and super buttery just glides on my skin and super easy to blend out.

Tips: I would recommend an eye primer first makes the colour so much richer.

Stunning Shadows & Amazing Quality

I have this in the Aquataenia palette - all mermaid shades and inspiration. It's absolutely beautiful. Everything from the packaging, to the colour choices to the quality just works well. My favourite part about this palette is that it is cruelty free as well, so definitely made it to the top of my love list. The colours are so pigmented and they show up on all skin tones. You can create some pretty magical looks with this one. It's a pricey one for only five shadows, but you won't go wrong with the quality and sure fire pigmentation won't be an issue (i.e. no chalkiness).

Tips: As always, primer first then apply shadow :)
