One of my go to palettes!

I love Lorac shadows so much! They're one of the best formulas out there and I will continue to buy more of their shadows. This palette is so lovely and it's good for every day use and more dramatic looks. The mattes are pigmented and creamy and not chalky at all, I find that there isn't a lot of fall out with the matte colours at all. The foiled/shimmer colours are super pigmented, I'd say they're a pressed pigment formula with a high shine, since they have such an intense pigment I do find that there is a bit of fall out so I tend to do my eyes before my base makeup. I love that this is a palette that you can use by itself, you can do so many looks with just the one palette, instead of having to go to another palette for a crease colour etc.

Lorac Unzipped palette

This little beauty comes in a gorgeous cardboard cream palette with gold Lorac writing and a gold zip lining the palette. It has a reasonable sized mirror along with a plastic sheet covering the shadows that has their names on it. My favourite shade is Unreal but I do love them all.

There are ten different shadows, four being a matte finish and the other six being a shimmer finish. All shadows are super creamy and have decent pigmentation and are easy to build up. Without an eyeshadow primer it lasted a good six hours and obviously with a primer it'll last a lot longer.

All colours blend perfectly into each other and you can create beautiful nude/bronze looks with this palette. I'm a huge fan of nude/bronze palettes so I personally feel that I can wear these shades day and night.

I would recommend this palette even though it is expensive as it is a high quality product.

The prettiest palette of them all

This is a true rose gold palette. The shades look slightly different swatched and all fit together so well. The quality is excellent - buttery, soft and pigmented. It's one of my favourite palettes to travel with because it's so compact and has enough variety for me. The magnetic closure feels sturdy and it has a decent sized mirror too.

10 shades of unzipped goodness

This was the first palette I really made an effort to buy and probably the palette I love most. It comes in a cardboard palette with a magnetic close, a decent mirror and 10 shades of unzipped goodness! The name of each shade begins with "UN" which ties in nicely with the name of the palette UNZIPPED - dork alert - I like when companies play on words.

I love the colour scheme which is why I bought it; it has pops of colour (warm rose golds), crease colour (chocolate browns) and smokey shades (rich browns). The texture is buttery and so there's no kick up of powder! There are 6 shimmers with satin finish and 4 mattes. Note that it's very fine shimmer with plenty of pigmentation.

For me I find that this product works well with the Lorac Behind-the-Scenes primer and lasts longer on my oily lids as opposed to if I used a different primer.

My favourite shades are Unbelievable, Uncensored and Unattainable - of course they're the rose gold shades haha. I used this palette for 4 months straight that's how much I loved it with plenty left. So price wise I definitely got my money's worth; it cost me $USD42 about $NZD54 at the time.

I do have 2 issues with this palette. Firstly you're limited to a particular eye makeup look - natural nude so travelling wise you either pack more colours if you want a different look. Secondly if you're a little overzealous with blending the rose gold shades can all look like one colour. Do I still love this palette - absolutely and it's worth the investment for good quality eyeshadows with an amazing colour scheme.

Tips: If you plan on using all the rose gold shades don't overblend or you'll be left with just one shade.

Rose Gold Luxury.

This had been on my lust list ever since its release. A good friend of mine purchased it and I had wanted it ever since I saw it on her. It wasn't until I purchased the controversial Mega Pro palette by Lorac that I decided to bite the bullet and get this.

You get 10 shades in this palette - some matte, some shimmery and some metallic. All are in then a&e kind of colour family - warm, rose golds. If you prefer a cooler toned palette then skip this.

The shadow pans are massive - you are getting a LOT of product in this. In terms of value for money, this is honestly a steal.

Lorac shadows are known for their extreme pigmentation. These aren't what I would call EXTREMELY pigmented, but they are decently pigmented. In comparison to the mega pro palette, these aren't as pigmented as that but these still have really, really good pigmentation.

All of the shadows are super soft to the touch and extremely buttery. They blend out very, very easily and maintain their pigmentation once blended. If you aren't too confident in your blending ability then I recommend trying these out, as they make it so, so easy.

Unlike the mega pro, these don't kick up a lot of product when using them - which is a good thing. They adhere well to your brush and they last all day on your kids with very little (if any), fading throughout the day when used with a primer. As I haven't used these without a primer, I don't know how they perform without one.

They are versatile in that you can use them with a thin eyeliner brush, to line your eyes. The colours are all very beautiful and create gorgeous, warm looks.

Overall I really love this palette. The only reason it doesn't get a full 5 stars is because the pigmentation is a teeny little bit less than the mega pro. In saying that though, the pigmentation in this still beats a lot of other shadows.

Tips: Get this online from beauty.com, Amazon or Nordstrom - it is much less expensive :)

Eyeshadow Heaven

This was the first ever high end makeup I brought for myself. I had been lusting after it for months when I had finally saved up enough money to purchase it and boy was it the best purchase I've ever made. Lorac shadows are gold, they are buttery, smooth, silky and highly pigmented, I have had hardly any fallout when working with these either which is a huge bonus. This palette is now my go-to, all time favourite.

The shades are as follows along with my take on each:

Undercover - A creamy white satin matte with slight pink undertones.

Unbelievable - A metallic copper rose.

Unattainable - A light shimmery bronze.

Unconditional - A matte cool tone mauve.

Unbridled - A medium matte brown with red undertones.

Undiscovered - A shimmery pale orange gold.

Unreal - A shimmery satin champagne.

Uncensored - A warm toned deep metallic brown.

Unspoken - a light warm toned matte brown.

Untamed - A satin matte deep brown with a red shift.

My favourites in the palette are Undercover, perfect for an all over shade that really brightens the eye - also a great inner corner and brow highlight. Unbelievable, an absolutely gorgeous rosy copper shade, this looks amazing foiled. Unconditional, the most perfect crease colour to ever exist I love this for a transitional crease shade. Unbridled, a gorgeous, gorgeous shade for deepening any eye look. Unreal, a beautiful lid shade, looks amazing layered with Unbelievable, also makes a great subtle shimmery highlight.

This palette is hands down amazing. Worth every penny and more. The formulation of the shadows are so superior to anything I have ever tried before and I can't wait to get my hands on more Lorac shadows. Wear time for these is phenomenal, they wear through 7am to 6pm easy, no fading what-so-ever.

Tips: If your're on a budget I think Coastal Scents Hot Pots are extremely close texture wise, they're both very pigmented and buttery. CS have a little more fallout though but seriously they do compare.

UNbelievable

This is one of the more recent palettes I have purchased and I am glad I did as it is lovely neutral palette to add to my collection.

First of the packaging is sleek looking and very thin, making it super easy to store. I has a magnetic closure which keeps these precious shadows nice and secure. The palette contains ten reasonably large sized shades which I find to be quite unique to the shades I have in my many other neutral palettes. Three of the shades are matte which is really handy too. It also comes with a great primer which is an awesome bonus with such an already great palette!

I would describe the ten shades as:

Undercover - matte cream

Unbelievable - metallic rose gold

Unattainable - metallic copper

Unconditional - matte rosey mauve

Unbridled - matte burgundy

Undiscovered – a metallic pale gold

Unreal – metallic warm pink

Uncensored - a metallic warm bronze

Unspoken – a matte cocoa brown

Untamed – a metallic plum dark brown

All of the shades are great quality. They are buttery soft, pigmented, long lasting and super easy to blend. I find this palette to be more suited to those with a warmer skin tone as the shades are mostly warm toned. I have cool skin tone and I still find this palette works fine for me I just think it is probably more flattering on warmer skin tones.

Definitely a palette I would recommend as well as any other Lorac shadows...they make some of the best eyeshadows in my opinion...they are so buttery and soft!

Tips: Tap excess of your brush when applying and use a primer to increase pigmentation and reduce fallout :)

They are very much different from the Naked 2 only one shade being similar but the naked 3 is very similar. If you already have the naked 3 then this isn't a must :)

I've not tried Lorac eyeshadows, but this sounds like a great wishlist item. The price is high but for quality products that work well and last, I would splurge. Do you find the shades different from Naked 2 and 3 (if you're familiar?)
