Maybelline Tattoo Gel Liner Pencil

I’m so stoked I found a new favourite! This liner is fantastic, although it doesn’t give you the precision of a gel liner it is more amazing as it doesn’t smudge and gives you more of a kohol look, it didn’t move and it lasted all day and even the next morninh! I applied to the top lid and waterline, my eyelids are oily and it didn’t smudge at all. I even did an onion cutting test and it lasted through the tears. I’d recommend this to everyone and even going to purchase for my mother who also has oily eyelids.

I typically use a liquid eyeliner on my eyelids and a pencil on my lower, i am pleased to find a eyeliner that is perfect on both! The Gel pencil is very easy to use and slides over both eyelids perfectly, it did not smudge or come off and i was very happy with the results !

It glides on the lash line like a dream. the colour pay off is incredible! I have a few eyeliners but none as creamy and pigmented as this. The last one I used from a trusted brand had barely any pigment and I would have to drag the pencil back and fourth multiple times just to get a hint of colour. This one only took one application and I was good to go. I did however run it back over my lash line a second time just to build up an ultra black look!

It wore beautifully well however towards the end of the day the eyeliner had smudged and transferred to my lower lash line. The quality of this liner is incredible though so I think I will continue to repurchase.

I’m not a big eyeliner wearer unless it’s for going out but trying this was nice. It has a lovely smooth tip which guides on easily. Easy to apply without smudging. Colour was dark and even. I also found it was easy to removed with cleanser without any effort.

I'm a liquid liner person, have been for years and have settled on Morphe as being my favourite. I didnt pay a huge amount of attention to the trial details and somehow assumed it was a liquid so when I opened it I was like "oh bother" but gave it a whirl. Surprise surprise this actually works well! I'm able to get a nice (actually black rather than grey) line, its soft enough I don't need a heap of pressure to get it to transfer to my lid (a problem I've had with other pencils) and is pretty forgiving when I've accidentally gotten overzealous and ended up smudging or getting the line wrong. The lid stays on well and I haven't sharpened it yet but I have a fair idea of how it will go. It goes on smooth, stays on well and doesn't give me panda eyes or smudge/transfer to my upper lid. Definitely recommend and will keep using this!

I was excited to trial the new Maybelline Tattoo Gel Liner pencil as Maybelline is known for producing great quality, budget friendly cosmetics.

I received this eyeliner in the shade black. The pencil is very gentle and you don't need to apply pressure as it glides easily across the base of the eyelid without pulling and dragging the skin. I also used this eyeliner on my waterline, to see whether it lived up to its waterproof and smudge resistant claims. It wore really well and the rich colour looked the same at the end of the workday as it had after applying it early in the morning.

This Maybelline Tattoo Gel Liner pencil will now replace my more expensive brand, as it does live up to its claims and is a great product.

The Maybelline Tattoo Gel Liner Pencil is a very easy-to-apply eyeliner that looks like a standard eyeliner pencil. It goes on fairly easily and is designed to last all day.

The good bits: It draws on easily. Not as smooth as a liquid eyeliner so is perfect if you are not after a liquid look and great for a smudgy eyeliner look. A true black colour. Low price point.

The not-so-good bits: It claims that it doesn't smudge however every time I have used this eyeliner I have black smudges on my upper eyelid under my brow. Possibly just my eyes but this is a major flaw for me especially as it is a tattoo liner! It also needs to be sharpened which isn't a flaw as such but something to be aware of.

Overall this gel liner pencil was ok. If I didn't experience the upper lid smudging then I would buy it again but because I have other liners that I do not experience this issue with I would not purchase it again. Again, this won't be an issue for all eye shapes so for the price point it is worth a try.

It’s so easy to use, glides so easily as it’s so smooth, yet it doesn’t smudge. I had to work really quick to smudge it out a bit with an eyeshadow as I like the look better on me, plus I have shaky hands, so the lines are never perfect. It lasted the whole day today, but to be fair I haven’t done much, so will definitely update once we’re back at work as I need my makeup to last since I never correct or reapply throughout the day. It looks so black and feels and looks very gel-like, this could be used for winged eyeliner, I could do a really thin line with it, I just wish my hands would be more steady to try!

I am not a daily eyeliner wearer (or makeup wear for the past two years, tbvh!) and also being asian doesn't quite help having uneven eyelid creases :(

But! Nonetheless, tried out this little beauty and.... I am quite amazed and surprised as as well as being the above, I am also guilty of constantly touching my eyes and eye area whenever I am wearing mascara and/or eyeliner so... when this little product popped up on the Beauty Review website, I was curious and super keen to test it out since, honestly there are times as a mum that it's nice to have some makeup on even though there is a chance it might not come off till the next day...

I usually have a simple eye look (as I am terrible with eyeshadow) so most of the time it is just mascara but if I am feeling extra, eyeliner gets added to the mix! I found this eyeliner to be super easy to use to add some darkness to the area just below the eyelashes and was so very smooth and literally just glided across where I wanted to apply. Quite precise too even though the nib looks to be fat.

Not sure if it would be capable of a cat eye flick but great to fill in that area just beneath the eyelashes to make it look fuller!

I’m not very good at eye liner so I was able to give this the ultimate test haha.

Easy to use, not hard to apply even being waterproof.

Smudge proof, yes unless you forget it’s there and rub your eyes it definitely will smudge then.

No overwhelming smells but due to the waterproof rating it is difficult to remove from eyes and takes a lot of cleansing to get it off.

Would I use it again? I don’t really use eye liner much but yeah I think I would use again
