Brow satin

A dual ended pencil bat has a waxy end retractable pencil that's quite thick and pigmented but easy to use. The opposite end is a sponge tip applicator that has a brown cap which both ends do but this ed is the shade of the product . So easy to identify which end has which in it. Also inside this brown cap lid is product of which you press the sponge applicator into and product disperses onto the sponge.

I outline with the pencil end it's very pigmented so light shirt strokes are best. Then I follow in with the sponge end which is a filler but it doesn't mimic hair strokes so it's a nice filler then I go in with my pomade. The product itself is super simple to ok with and so pigmented.... I love it and what makes it better is the price I can say I like this just as much as my brow whiz although I prefer the spooley and thin pencil. However this still does the job of ABH.

a must-have brow product!!

I got this in shade dark brown. I use the gel liner to line my brows and it applies so easily and smoothly, it doesn't drag on your skin like other liners. The other end of the pencil is a pointed sponge with brow powder which meant to fill in brows and blend at the same time, however the sponge applicator is hard to control in terms of how much product is applied, so I would just fill in my brows with the powder then blend with a spoolie. This product lasts on my brows up to 12 hours but I did notice some fading on hot days when I sweat more. I would definitely purchase this product! Great one from maybelline.

Tips: For perfect results, use a spoolie.

Great Product Combination

I love filling in my light blonde eyebrows and this product combination is perfect for that. I also have sensitive skin and had no issues with irritation. The product is easy to use and quick to apply. I had it in the shade dark blonde. The pencil is a nice balance between creamy and waxy to get the right amount of product onto the brow with precision. The pencil is a little wider than other pencils I have used which makes it difficult to get the fine tip at the end of the brow. The powder applicator applys a small amount of product each time, which is just enough to fill in the gaps on each brow. I found that just using the pencil and powder did not last all day at work on my eyebrows and my blonde brows began to show through therefore if you have lighter eyebrows like me I would recommend using a tinted brow gel to set the hairs in place. It would also be good if it came in blonde as I felt the dark blonde was slightly too dark for everyday wear but great for a bold brow and made my blonde eyebrows show up over the colour when the product was used alone. I would definitely repurchase as for $16.99 from Farmers it is a reasonable price for both a pencil and powder and is cheaper than other products which only come with a pencil and spoolie.

Tips: First, brush out eyebrows with a spoolie to get them running the right way, then define with the pencil, then fill in with the powder and follow up with a brow gel to set it all in place so that it lasts all day.

Awesome product!!

So far I have been loving this product but there are a few things I don't like. Starting off with the good, I was a bit worried that the dark brown wouldn't match my black hairs and that the brown would stand out around the hairs but the dark brown works perfectly and the colour of the powder actually warmed up the colour of my brows. I was glad that the texture was not waxy and it went on smooth and was easy to blend in with a spooly. The powder was also easy to apply and dispensed the perfect amount.

I usually have a hard time filling in my left brow as the top part is thinner and has less hairs than the right brow. With the other pencils and powders that I have used, I found it hard to get the left brow to look fuller and natural in that part and it is easy to tell that there is product trying to fill the gaps. I was sure I would have the same problem with the brow satin and this was the case when I used the pencil side. This made me a little disappointed, however, when I applied the powder over top, it actually made it look fuller and for the first time I was able to get it to match the opposite brow.

Overall the brow satin is a great product, that for me left a natural looking set of brows which I love!

Some of the things that I didn't like about the brow satin was that I found the pencil a bit big to hold and the actual pencil product was a bit thick and made it hard to get a thin line. When I first tried to apply the powder, it had a bit of fallout onto my cheeks but that was the only time and doesn't seem to do it now. Also I some how managed to smudge my brow which hasn't happened to me before so maybe this is from the product being quite creamy.

Other than these little issues, I would definitely think about buying this product again :)

Maybelline Brow Satin - Dark blonde

I was looking forward to trying this, but was equally sceptical as I have very sparse eyebrows and I haven't yet found a product that fills them in as I wanted too; however I was pleasantly surprised by this product.

The pencil end worked well, but I found it a little hard to get it dark enough, maybe this was due to the colour and the fact that I like my brows a little darker than natural!

The powder however is awesome. The colour and texture is perfect, and it fills in evenly without being overbearing or too much. The applicator brush is really easy to use, and its pretty hard to mess it up! I love the way there is no dipping a brush in powder to apply, rather it is all inside :)

Tips: - if you like having darker eyebrows than naturally, maybe consider selecting a dark colour so that the pencil will have the desired effect - I found it worked better only using the power to fill in gaps in the front of my brows, and using the pencil to fill in the rest. As the powder brush is quite thick, it can lead to 'accidents' if you go too far down your brow with it

Such quick application

When I'm in a rush this is the first product I reach for. The cushion applicator makes it so easy to just sweep products across my brows. I have sparse parts in my brows and this product fills them in super quickly and it looks good.

Tips: Tidy up the edges by just wiping your finger along the edge of your eyebrow.

Maybelline, You beauty!

When I saw this on TV, I got pretty excited because I am a sucker for products that are a two-step process, I don't know why but they just really appeal to me.

I have the darkest shade this comes in, and the packaging is really sleek and simple. It comes in a plastic casing, with a dark lid on each side so you can't tell which end is which is a bit of a pain. But what really bugs me with this product is the fact that one lid twists off and one lid pops off so I’ll be yanking at my lid, and it does nothing because it’s the screw off one. I find it so confusing. I wish they were the same (in regards to twisting/popping off) but I assume they are different to distinguish which end is which but I don't think it does that well.

One end has a pencil which I really like. The size is something I'm used to working with so I found it easy to create the look I wanted with small strokes as well as more defined lines.

The other end has a white sponge tip and you simply push down on the tip to release the powder. I found I had to push down a few times for the powder to start coming out but that was only the first time. I do find the click-type dispenser a bit gimmicky, but I don't know how else they could design it. I think this end is a good idea because it smooths out harsh lines and fills in other gaps which are perfect.

Overall, I really like this product and it is my favourite brow product from Maybelline. It gives my brows a filled out look, and can be quite natural depending on how you blend and fill your brows out.

Good product

One end of the product's got brow product which is quite easy to use when I'm filling in my brows, and the other end's a brow pencil which makes this product pretty convenient. The pencil draws on with little pressure, different to most brow pencils where I usually have to push harder for the pigment to show. I still find that I have to use my concealer afterwards to 'block' out some of the brow products because I usually prefer a more defined brow look, but this was easy to use when I'm in a rush and just want an easy brow product (as compared to the ABH pomade).

Tips: I used the dark brown shade and found it to be darker than the ABH dark brown pomade, and I've also found it pretty good to use the Brow Satin to line my brows then fill in with the pomade for well defined brows :)

Quick and Easy Brows!

I bought this as I lost my Sleek eyebrow kit. I hadn't used a pencil style in about a year, so it was weird to set used to at first, but I have found that it is a very quick and easy way to do my brows! The powder spongey end it great when you have no time, or are just going "makeup free", as it helps to just fill in your brows and helps (for all us blonde haired girls) make your brows look like they exist. The waxy pencil end is very smooth and not overly pigmented, so you don't have to worry about it leaving dark lines on your brows! It is easy to use to create small strokes as well as defining the edges of your brows to help them look crisp. Only downside I have found is that the powder can sometimes cling to your brow hairs in little clumps, which is an easy fix, as you can get rid of the clumps by brushing your brows with a spoolie or comb.

Overall, I think that if you are looking for a quick and easy way to do your brows, this is worth your time and money!

(P.S. I use the lightest shade, i think its blonde?)

Tips: Don't go too heavy handed with the powder sponge thing, as it can sometimes be very pigmented.
