My choice for daily eye looks!

I am a huge fan of these eye shadows. I love everything about them. With the right tools to apply and blend these are absolutely fantastic. I find the color pay off is very good and the colors are very pigmented. I like the formula, very silky to apply and I am a huge fan of how blend-able they are. I sometimes find that I get runny eyes from some eye shadows but these are lovely and gentle and have never once made me shed a tear! Uptown Downtown is my fave combination and very complimentary on my hazel eyes!

Tips: Perfect for those with sensitive eyes that sometimes get teary from eye shadow.

Conveniently compact

I received this in a gift pack.

The packaging is really, really nice, it's basically a mirror so you can see what you're doing if you've put this in your make-up bag to use on the go.

The pigmentation of the light pink is a little thin but it's got a hint of a shimmer in it so it does look nice and sheer.

The darker purple isn't as dark as you would think. Again, the pigmentation isn't that great but it's definitely buildable.

I use this when I'm travelling since it's just so conveniently small.

The price however, is absolutely, definitely not worth it!

You get what you pay for

These are long wearing (even without a primer) have just the right amount of sheen to matte finish (no glitter even in the frosty metallic shades) are smooth and velvety to apply. Pricey yes, but you get a very good product for the price and you get quite a usable brush and a lovely looking compact too. My fave and the one I have repurchased twice this year is 'Day into date' I am afraid it will be discontinued so am stocking up it is the most gorgeous duo of chocolatey brown and soft beige pink which work together for a neutral day eye or smoked up with liner for a more dramatic look - so versatile!

Tips: My faves are double date (neutral taupe/beige browns), Choc kiss (matt beige pink and chocolate brown), deco-dence (pale ivory and slate brown/purpley grey) but my all time staple is 'day into date'

Lovely eye shadows

Clinique is one of my favourite brands, such great quality and I'm rarely disappointed when I buy their products.

I have quite a few of their eye shadows, they are very pigmented and always been good for my sensitive skin around my eyes.

The formula is silky and lightweight. I don't get creasing of this eyeshadow like other cheaper brands. The formula has a hint of shimmer to it that looks lovely.

Expensive in comparison to other eye shadows, but worth it in my opinion as they are such high quality.

All about the shadow

I got this as a bonus gift from Clinique on a purchase.

Colours I got are wave after wave and smoke & mirrors. Wave after wave is a metallic light green with a grey hint to it, Smoke & mirrors is a dark green grey with slight shimmer. The stay power of both is good, I can put it on in the morning and it is still going strong in the evening, a good 10 hours later without primer on me. Goodness knows what happens when I get around to using primer. I have picked up other shadow duos colours since and they have similar stay power.

When I use makeup remover it just comes off. I normally apply this dry with a brush. I find these are easy to blend. Sometimes I use this as eye liner rather than pencil and it hasn't iritated my eyes at this time.

This is a product that I would rebuy or take a gamble on colours for GWP because sometimes they are the best colours. Pricewise it is a bit more expensive than others on the market but since it stays all day I think it is worth the money.

Tips: On GWP you sometimes get a blusher with it.

Value for Money

Clinique eye shadow is a favourite brand - the colours are flattering, they blend and cover really well - no running the applicator back and forth over and over again to get enough colour to stay on your eye. They may cost more than others but you don't need much and they last for ages so good value for money

Tips: always use good quality applicator brushes, it makes a big difference to the coverage

Tried and true

I have used Clinique eyeshadows for years and have always loved the colour ranges they have and the compact way they are presented. At the moment I am using the ivory and bronze satin duo which is a great combination for my colouring. The colour ranges seem to suit mature people my age as well as my daughters who are adults.

Great quality

These eyeshadows are of high quality. They are highly pigmented, silky smooth texture, and come in whole array of shades. These eyeshadows are a bit soft, so a little goes a long way, and you do want to watch out for fall out.

Cute little duo

I have this duo in uptown downtown. I got it from a little sample pack that Clinique does a lot of (and is how I buy most of my Clinique products, this brand is expensive fullsize!). I think my duo is the same as pictured. It has a light shimmery pink and then a darker sort of purple grey.

I like the packaging of this. It's in a silver rectangular box and then you slide out the shadow. Its not too big for just a duo but if they stopped putting in those silly foam applicators, then it probably could be even smaller! The pink shadow is larger then the dark shadow which makes sense as you would end up using way more of the pink shade anyway.

The formula of these is nice. They are not dry at all and have no powdery excess. They are not super buttery but they have a nice creamy sort of quality to the shadow. I find them to have a nice pigment too. Considering how light the pink is, I wasn't expecting it to be as pigmented as it is and I love this as an all over lid colour. The purple shade (which Is matte by the way) deepens up the outer v nicely. I'm not a total fan of this shade. I guess I wish it was more purple but that's just a personal preference.

I usually add some matte colours for the crease from other palettes to mix in with this. You could totally use just the pink by itself for a one shadow look or add a tiny bit of the purple in the crease too to go really simple.

I will definitely keep using this. I don't think I would specifically go out and buy this but that is because I'm more of a bigger palette person. I would be happy as to get one in another sample pack though.

Very expensive

This was a really luxury buy for me. I had heard a lot of good things about Clinique and I was in a mood to spoil myself the day I bought this.

To this day this is one of my favourite eyeshadows - it is easy to apply and it doesn't look really bright. I like that it has a slight shimmer but it doesn't look too shimmery.

This feels really soft on my eyes and I always feel really good when I wear this. Even though it is something I would not buy a lot because of the price, I am glad to have just one of these because it is really beautiful and is my favourite eyeshadow.

I hold out for GWP as there is normally one in there, but they are worth it.

I love it too, but couldn't afford to splash out again!
