Shadow shock

A single pottle of shadow shade that has engraved affect on it. The sleek pottle is white and good in size the lid is a screw top with a clear plastic viewing part thar has printing colorpop across it. Hanky Panky is the shade I have it's matte. It looks as if there is a sparkle in there but there isn't it. By appearance you think its a powder but by feel it's a cream powder so dense and pressed but to touch it's soft and buttery cream texture yet stays dense packed. Colour pay off is very nice however the texture causing issues with a flat shadow shading brush because it sticks to the bristles. Application with a clean finger gives best results. In saying that blending is a breeze. I really think these are a good product and the price seems affordable although I was gifted mine. I think everyone needs at least one item from this brand.

Tips: Try applying with your ring finger for lids.

SHOCKingly Good!

I own the two shades Hustle and To-A-T. Overall impression: incredible (especially for the price). I got To-A-T because the colour is a matte, brown shade which is perfect as a base colour for my lids (or a crease colour for those who have fairer skin than I). The colour is very near to my skin tone so it provides me with a blank canvas for my eyes, almost acts as a concealer to cover up my dark circles. Hustle, on the other hand, is a gorgeous matte dark purple. It is a super buildable colour that can either be applied at its utmost sheerest purple stage or a super dark, blackened purple once colour is packed on.

The actual consistency of the eyeshadows (like all Colourpop products) is very strange. It is almost like a putty texture that dents when touched even gently. I love the texture. It feels very smooth, soft and almost creamy which all contributes to its intense pigmentation with only a few swipes with the finger. The eyeshadows apply so fantastically and blend so effortlessly that it's hard to believe that they only come at $5USD a pop (insane).

The packaging is super cute and aesthetic. The individual eyeshadows come in boxes, similar to that of Mac. The product sits in wee pots with screw on lids, weilding the shade info and a little window so you can see the colour in all its beauty.

All in all, absolutely love Colourpop products and will, without a doubt, be ordering from them again.

Tips: Screw on the lid sufficiently tight so that the magical stuff inside doesn't dry out (what a waste that would be!). Also, apply the eyeshadows with you finger if you want the utmost product on your lids. If you want precision then just use your brush but remember the strange consistency may limit the amount of product you can otherwise apply more of with the use of your finger.

Fabulous!

I was dying to try one of these shadows. I brought the shade Lace. Its the most gorgeous metalically purple shade that you could honestly ever ask for!

For $6.50 these are such a deal. The shadow itself is very creamy, easy to blend and apply, excellent quality and very very pigmentated, The only downfall I would say would be the fallout especially with brighter or darker colors. I used Shadow Sheilds with this eyeshadow so it did not make a mess.

Since trying this eyeshadow I have brought tons more of them and they have never failed me

Incredibly silky smoooottthhhh

Who has all the monies and wants to buy them allllll for me?! HANDS UP! Hahaha.

Jokes a side I am in love with these shadows. I tried the the 'Zingra' collection. A set of 2x matte, 1x satin and 1x pearlized.

The pearlized shade quite easily can be used as a highlight. It's silky it's mousse like and it's a beautiful shiny shade.

The mattes and satin are similar in the way they feel. Silky and soft. Almost 'wet' like shadows but not wet at all.

The shadows are a beautiful consistency. Beautiful colour pay off easy to build up and easy to make quite subtle.

They blend beautifully into the lid and don't take much effort to do so. I've used these with both a primer on the lid and not with a primer and they work well with or without one. Longtivity excellent and no creasing.

So many mixed reviews about these shadows, personally I want to own allll of them.

Tips: My tip is on postage! If you spend $50USD you get free shipping, ask your girlfriends if they want to jump in on the order to make it more cost efficient for yourself :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I love these shadows - not only do they have every other colour you could imagine but they work so well! The pigmentation is incredible and they are so cheap! I do find to get the full colour, it is best to apply with your finger. When using a brush you do have to go over a few times to ensure you get the payoff you want - but they never fail me! And no fallout - bonus!

Tips: Use your finger for ultimate colour payoff

How super, is the Super Shock Shadow?

Alright ladies, so I have a few of these bad boys: SHIMMERS: So Quiche: Greeny-Grey undertone/base with pink shimmer/glitter through Millionaire: Golden undertone/based with pink shimmer/glitter throughout (this colour is deceiving online, it looks like it's one solid colour) Cricket: Cool toned, purple shimmer Telepathy: Super bright, yellow, golden shimmer La La: Rose Gold Shimmer (to die for... my favourite shade!)

MATTE: Central Perk: Cross between Maroon and Ultra Violet Mittens: Rich brown with strong red undertones

PROS: Pigmented, beautiful, incredible range of shades, unique texture... the shimmers are my ultimate favourite, they're so easy to work with, you get amazing colour pay off, they really compliment any makeup look. Not much fall out due to the texture/consistency Super shimmery/glittery. CHEAP but quality!

CONS: No cons really for the shimmery shades... my grieveance is with the matte shades...I'm just not as much of a fan of these. I find them a little more difficult to work with and blend out... like a lot of the colour pop products (aside from lip products) I think these are easiest to work with when using your fingers, they are challenging with a brush.. this is only the matte shades, the shimmers I don't have this problem. The matte shades I also found can dry out easily and crack.

CONCLUSION: Worth the money, the shimmery shades are to die for! I would buy more of them, I'm still willing to work with the mattes because they have such a beautiful colour range and the value and quality for money is fantastic. Side note: Pot's are deceiving and are much shallower then you think!

Tips: Easiest to use with fingers. When using a brush I would use quite a dense brush to help with blending the product out.

Unique but not long lasting

Having purchased a large amount of these due to the high cost of shipping I had to make my purchase worth it I ended up with 20 of these in various shades as they are very affordable especially if you go into an order with a couple of friends to split the shipping. However the majority of them have sat in their drawer untouched as I wasn't overly impressed or inspired by them.

The colours are pretty and they come in different finishes, with matte, shimmer and even glitter formulas, you would think that a tray of these would make a great eye look without the need for anything else from a palette but I found it hard to find a good base that blended, a crease was also difficult due to the creaminess of their texture you can only apply with your fingertips and when you try to blend with a brush it gets all blotchy or drags up. Great for someone who wants to just dab a colour on the lid add some mascara and get out of the door but for me I like to create depth and dimension to the eye and these shadows just don't allow that.

Also I found that even when you reapply the lid firmly after use that over time the formula seems to naturally dry out with a few of the shadows that I hadn't even used having to be thrown out during a recent declutter due to the fact that they were dry and won't partaking their colour very good anymore.

Colourpop Supershock Shadow (Paradox)

I love these shadows! The texture is so unique, kind of moussey and bouncy. I thought these would only work as lid shades but I use my Mac 217 brush to apply Paradox into the crease and it works really well. The shades I have tried are great and I would definitely recommend these.

Tips: If you're using these in the crease, go in with a light hand as they are extremely pigmented and you can't just tap off the excess.
