Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips Review

I was gifted a small size of this and was really excited to try it as I had heard really good things. This is a dual action formula and you need to shake it really well before use. It smells okay, nothing offensive or unbearable and it does an awesome job. This will take off anything, I splash a bit onto a cotton pad and hold it on my eye for a few seconds and then wipe - this takes off almost everything in one go, I just flip the pad over and give a once over to clean up any remains. But here's my gripe, this works just as well as my Maybelline Express Care (blue dual action one) and it's like triple the price for less than half the amount of product. Also, this is really, really greasy - I know to most people that's not a huge deal as yo usually rinse afterwards anyway, but it feels very uncomfortable to me, maybe because I have oily skin. So while this is a great make up remover and very heavy duty, I will not purchase when I run out because my Maybelline one is just as good for less money and more product.

I have really sensitive eyes so it's really important for me to get ALL my makeup off before I go to bed and this totally does that. I find it infinitely more effective than makeup removal wipes and also much much gentler. You don't need much product at all either, so though it is a bit pricey, it's worth every cent IMHO. My only wee issue with it is the oily film it leaves on my face, but I cleanse after using it so not a major concern. I love the packaging and especially the child proof cap which is great when you have a 2 year old who wants to be just like mummy!

This product is amazing!! It removes my eye makeup, helps loosen the glue on my fasle lashes. I am so impress by have effortlessly it is to remove my makeup. I would usually dreed the end of day just thinking about having to remove my makeup but now that I have come accross products that have made that part of my day enjoyable, I mean there are times when I can't wait to take my makeup off and knowing that I have this little gem makes night time routine a breeze. I wear alot of water-proof makeup e.g. Kat Von D liquid liner, now before hand I would still have traces of black liner the following day but since using CTTDO it's like I never had the liner on to begin with. Now if you are someone who does not like the feel of oil on your skin then you will not like this as it has an oily feel. I have sensitive eyes and this does not irritate my eyes what so ever. Highly recommend!!

This is an oil based makeup remover, with which you have to shake prior to use. I find that this type of remover requires a little more product as the cotton pad tends to soak the bulk of the liquid.

This does a great job of removing waterproof mascara and eyeshadow. I had no problems with stinging eyes or sensitivity around the eye are like I do with other removers. I do find that this oil based type of product can leave a filmy residue on your eyes- this remover left less of a film than other supermarket brands Ive tried.

While I find this gentle and effective I have come to prefer using micellar water as an eye makeup remover so would probably not repurchase. In addition I do think that supermarket branded removers do as good a job at removing makeup at a cheaper price, although I do think this is gentler than most and less inclined to leave behind a oily film which may make the extra spend more worthwhile.

This is a dual liquid make up remover. You shake the two liquids together to mix then put some on a cotton ball or swab, apply to face and wipe off. Pretty simple really.

After you have used this you will need to rinse this off if you are going to reapply make up. Myself, I don't like the after feeling on my skin of this so I do wash my face regardless, it feels oily gross.

Although this says for lids, lashes and lips, I use it all over my face simply because why have 2 cleansers that do the same thing. I also don't put it on a swab, after shaking I tip a bit into my hands and then apply to face, massaging a little in application. Your fingers glide over easily for a little 1 minute massage with this product, I then wipe off. This is my preferred method of use of liquid remover. It goes on easily and comes off easily as well. It did seem to take everything off.

This form is not my favourite remover so using this is going to continue till I finish the other bottle I have picked up, but I'm not planning on purchasing it at this time.

I've used Lancome Bi-Facil for years and there was nothing wrong with it so I just stuck with it. But one day I decided to give this Clinique one a go because Clinique had a GWP promotion going on (and I'm a sucker for GWP's!). This is also a bi-layer remover so you need to give the bottle a bit of a swirl. I just wet a cotton pad, hold it over my eyelid for about 30 seconds, and my eyeliner and mascara comes right off! I do have to work a bit to get to the liner between the lashes but that's understandable. No need to rub and tug at the eyelid. Of course it leaves an oily film on your skin afterwards but one should wash their face after makeup removal anyway.

such an amazing makeup remover to use, Just dab a small amount onto a cotton pad, wipe softly onto skin and it removes makeup smoothly. It gives a nice touch onto dry skin, it doesnt irritate or sting, Definitely one of my favourite makeup removers to use

Got this as part of the Clinique "free gift" package when purchasing 2 product (my boyfriend uses their scrub and moisturiser). This is a very good make up remover and there's no stinging or "harsh feeling" that comes with some supermarket brands. It's pricey though so may keep looking out for other good removers!
