Australis Mineral Highlighter

This is such a great highlighter, but for it to look natural you just use a tiny amount, or it can look quite unnatural and too 'shiny.' The only thing I don't like about it, is the pump squeezes out about the amount you need for 2 or 3 applications which can be quite a pain. I like to use just a tiny but on my cheekbones, browbone, and down my nose to give a natural glow.

This might be a more affordable dupe for the Benefit High Beam highlighter, but ... dare I say it, better? I love the fact it comes with a pump which is really easy to use and easy to control, so there's no product wastage and it is very hygienic. This can be mixed with your foundation for a subtle, all-over glow which I like to do when my skin is looking good (if you do it with bad skin it will just draw attention to all the flaws!) Otherwise, dab it along your cheekbones. Apply it when your foundation is still a little damp so that it doesn't pull your foundation and make it look patchy.

I bought this highlighter when Australis had a sale , I love highlighters and love to have a dewy/glory finish when I do my makeup. I use this two ways , I either mix a small pump with my primer and mix together and apply to my skin before foundation to give an all over glow (my favourite way of using this highlighter) , or I apply to my cheekbones,bridge of my nose and Cupid's bow to enhance my features, it has a beautiful soft glow , but I have found to be carefull applying over my makeup as it can sometimes make it move so I apply with fingers first and then blend with my beauty blender, to prevent my foundation slipping underneath. I really like the pump as it only disperses a bit at a time so no wastage happens. X

Lets get right to the negative, it takes off my foundation so i have this beautiful highlight which rubs off my foundation round the edges would be perfect when wearing no foundation but not really the point. I use for a borw bone highlighter above my eyeshadow though and works amazing!!

It works really well on my skin , im a little on the pale side of things during winter so when i tried this product i really enjoyed it . The light just reflects off me , making me glow .

In all honesty this product is probably good for the right person but i cannot for the life of me apply liquid or cream highlighters i find they look clumpy and uneven

the Australis Mineral highlighter is a fantastic idea! A glowing liquid highlighter, available in pearl and gold to suit warm or cooler skin tones. But... I find that most days the formula just doesn't work for me. Its creamy consistency got me excited about its blend-ability but it seems to just sit on the skin, rather then nicely melt in slightly and reflect the light. I love the products pigmentation, and I feel that its on the way to a good thing.. but just isn't quite there yet!

Loved the effect this product gave me. I use it on my brow bone, upper cheek area and cupids bow areas and it completely brightens the face up. It is a cream product which is quite light so it spreads easily. A little goes a long way! It comes in a little pump tube which is very convenient as you only pump out as much as you need so there is no product wasted. It is also a lot more hygenic. I use this product a lot more than i thought I would! :)

I recieved the colour in Gold which probably was a little to bronzy for my skin colour as i have quite fair skin, but I saw the way it highlighted my cheekbones and I actually liked the overall effect it gave to my finished make up look :)

I was stoked to receive this for review! But, after 5 days of trying to make it work, I could not get anything to come out of the bottle (short of cutting it open). I don't know if it is a design flaw with the bottle style or if just a one off broken one but I was disappointed I didn't get to try it! Sorry guys but no review here
