I was introduced to these glass jars of goodness from a BR girl. She has set yet another addiction for me! Once you buy one, you just keep adding more to your collection!
So the wee glass jars are great. Feel heavy and expensive. The top has a rubber feel which I love. It helps to open the lids when you have moisturizers or bb cream still on your hands.
The jar come full of product to the top. These days it's not very often you can say that.
I started off with the colour painterly. Then I just kept adding to my collection. These are a creamy texture. The sales assistant said to just apply with your finger. This works well when you have short fingernails. Doing it this way uses less product by far. I also like to use a brush as well.
Now due to the creamyness of these, they grab hold onto powder eyeshadow extremely well. Using the different colours also changes the shadows. I have a silver that makes a matte shadow have a sparkle. When I use a brush, I like to use the same brush into the shadow, then it makes the colour more intense as if wetting the brush. It also helps to blend it as well.
So, so far we have used it as a primer. A eyeshadow on its own and a tool to enhance shadow. Now get a angled brush and use it under your lower lash line for a eyeliner. Now dip your finger in and place a blob on the top of your cheeks and blend for shimmer!
See multi use product!
I purchased the shade painterly, and being extremely pale i found that it was darker than my skin tone and make my eyelids quite orange, but that was only the first few times i used it, now i hardly notice it, but i found that you have to set it somehow, with a face powder or an eyeshadow and the tacky-ness doesn't allow for easy blending, but once you've set it it AMAZING! my eyeshadow lasts all day! sometimes when I've been extremely lazy and didn't take my makeup off the night before (NAUGHTY) its still perfect! my only thing against this was the shades, i found soft ochre was too yellow for me and i have yellow undertones, but painterly was too dark, if anyone knows of another shade thats just a skin tone base suitable for my irish girl skin let me know!
Tips: set with an eyeshadow or powder for easy blending
