Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

My first impression of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All in One was that it was very simply packaged and actually looked like nothing more than a bottle of water. This was possibly the impression that Garnier was aiming for. The recommended retail price was very cheap and affordable. I used the product for the first time that night after my shower. As I always wash my face and make up off while in the shower, I was interested to see what the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water would pick up on what I thought was a clean face. I was very surprised by the amount of makeup that came off on the cotton pad and realised how much I was leaving on my face on a daily basis. It was quite a shock really!! The only part of my makeup that Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water did not totally remove was my mascara, so I had to rub vigorously to get it off. This was a little different from the description on the bottle which says ‘perfectly clean … without vigorously rubbing’. The product is also meant to be suitable for sensitive skins and I did not have any adverse reactions to it in the 10 days I used it, where sometimes I can get eczema so I was very pleased with that. Although the label said it was perfume free, it had a slight chemical smell and when I checked the list of ingredients on the back it had a lot of chemicals listed that I did not recognise. This could possibly stop me from using it again as I prefer natural products. I would possibly refer this product to friends, as it did clean my face well, but more than likely I would recommend it to friends who did not mind using chemical products so much.

Tips: Make sure to use cotton pads and not cotton balls, as I would normally use cotton balls but bought cotton pads (as directed on the bottle) and that made a big difference for ease of use.

Quick and easy make up removal

I like this product. It's a clear liquid in a cute pink bottle. You put it on a cotton pad and just wipe it across your skin. Simple as that. Your makeup comes off on to the pad. It may take a couple of swipes for heavier makeup. I also found that holding for a couple of seconds on closed eyes made removing eye makeup easy too

Tips: I found the flat round cotton pads worked best.

Everyone should have this product!!!

I LOVE Garnier Micellar cleaning water, where has it been all my life? It's so simply and straight forward to use and it's super gentle on your skin.

The first time I saw the bottle/packaging I did think it was very plain jane and boring but since using the product I have realised that the packaging is exactly like the product simple but oh so effective! The lid clips on snuggly and I have no concerns about it tipping over and spilling once the lid is closed, also the flip lid means you don't have to muck around screwing & unscrewing making the whole process much easier.

The product itself, well there's not a lot to say about it in terms of look or smell - it looks like water and there is no real smell that I have noticed either. Now this product claims to be amazing, removing make-up, cleansing and leaving your skin soothed. I wanted to believe the claims but to be honest I was a little skeptical, I mean sometimes even eye make-up remover has a hard time doing its job right? How could one product do multiple jobs AND do them well? The first night I was amazed (and slightly grossed out at the manly looking cotton pads!) at how effective a job the Micellar cleansing water did. It left my skin feeling wonderful and completely make-up free, plus it to got rid of my eye make-up without me having to rub or scrub the area. I did wonder if it was simply a fluke, if my make-up had been lighter or worn off more that day so I kept using it and after about a week of using it every night and most mornings I still feel the same - totally loving this product and the fact that it does what it says it will. My skin feels better than it has for a long time and I haven't had a breakout from my make-up since using this product (I was prone to getting them before). I am a contact lens wearer and am always a little cautious of the products I use on or around my eyes in case they cause irritation, so far the Micellar cleansing water hasn't caused any kind of irritation to my eyes. I can't wait for this product to be released in shops and think that the price is very reasonable, in fact I was expecting it to be more expensive than it is listed above. I've already recommended this product to several people who are very excited to give it a try.

Tips: More is less, you don't need to use a lot of the product on your cotton pad.

Micellar

Absolutely love this stuff, it's great to get makeup off but also to clean brushes. I've used this product from day 1 and a little goes a long way.

Garnier Micellar Water

At first I was sceptical. I had tried many make up removers and they have always hurt my eyes when I tried to remove my eye make up but not this product. Instructions say there is no need to rinse off which is great because when you are tired and you need to get your make up off before you go to bed you don't really want to have to rinse in a basin of water, tie your hair back and try not to get water up your sleeves. Plus I am so lazy. The liquid is clear and doesn't irritate my eyes and does a fairly great job of removing mascara, eyeliner and dirt. I like the convenience of it and have taken it traveling with me.

Tips: Apply to 2 cotton pad rounds and start with your eyes then the rest of your face. Finish off with moisturiser and you are done.

Good for Removing Eye Makeup and Cheap

I bought this off one of the BR members. I did read how it stings eyes and I wanted a good cheap and gentle eye makeup remover for my sister who just recently got into makeup. I have found this really effective at removing eye makeup. I did have my doubts thinking that this is just ideal for removing light face makeup but I have found it removes eyeliner and mascara really effectively, just saturate a cotton round and hold it over your eyes for a few seconds and then a gentle wipe and just about everything comes off. I also use this to remove the last bit of lippy left over at the end of the day. Even with liquid long last lipsticks it got them off. I really like how my face doesn't feel excessively tight and dry after I use it. It just feels like I used a toner. I have used it to rinse my eyeshadow brushes and give them a quick wipe on a tissue if wanted to quickly clean them. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a cheap and gentle makeup remover for your whole face, even at full price I would repurchase.

Tips: Great for days when you want to remove makeup but are too lazy to do a full routine. Also great for rinsing your makeup up brushes after cleaning them or if you want to just sort of spot clean your brushes.

Water of the Gods!

After hearing months and months of hype about this mysterious product online, I was SUPER excited to try it when I saw it on the shelf of my supermarket! The fact that the entire supermarket stock has now been sold out for two weeks is a great testimony to the popularity of this water!

I think what firstly attracted me was the appeal of having an all-in-one makeup remover, cleanser, toner, etc. Being able to use the same product for everything morning and night, plus not having to rinse with water or anything, was a huge appeal! The second thing that attracted me was the ADORABLE packaging - the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water comes in the cutest chubby bottle, with a useful pink clip-top lid.

The formula itself is magic. Unscented, this water removes makeup SUPER easily and very thoroughly. When used on my eyes it does not sting or irritate in the slightest - the reason why I usually hate liquid eye makeup remover. This water leaves the skin feeling clean, soft, and not irritated or overly dried-out. And the best thing? You don't even need to use water to rinse afterwards!

I did find that this was terrible at removing waterproof mascara, but I dislike wearing waterproof mascara anyway, so not really a con in my books :-)

Tips: I like to apply this product in gentle, circular motions using a cotton pad, on my eyes, face and neck, morning and night.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

It is my Holy Grail to remove makeup instantly, totally love this product. It does what is says. It is quick and easy to use, simply by soaking a cotton pad and gently swipe off face.

Tips: I tend to leave a soak cotton pad for about 5-10 seconds on the eye area and gently swipe off eyeshadows and waterproof mascara. Not only do I use it remove makeup, I find it cooling and refreshing if I my eyes are puffing by soaking a clean cotton pad and leave it on for 1-5 minutes.

Not Holy Water...

I had heard from so many people how this water was a miracle and was their holy grail cleanser/makeup remover. Now I am blasphemous by nature but I didn't expect this to fall so flat - even for a heretic :p

First of all this was damn near impossible to get my hands on. There was SO much hype about it that finding it seemed impossible. Eventually I found it and was extremely excited to try this water out.

The packaging is something I do like about this product. I like that the lid is a flip top, which makes using this hassle free. I also really like that the bottle is clear so I can see how much product is in it.

The product itself, however... I feel it is SUPER overrated. It could just be me but I didn't feel this did anything magical or anything that my cleansing oil can't do. In fact, this falls short of my cleansing oil. This does remove makeup - but only to a certain point. At least on me, anyway. Every time I have used this I have used my cleansing oil after it and still gotten makeup off of my face - even if I have double cleansed my face with this. While this doesn't hurt my eyes when using it to remove mascara and liner, nor does it actually remove the above. Well it kind of does - but there is always remnants of mascara and liner left, which I then have to use my cleansing oil to fully remove.

Whilst this is an inexpensive product, I feel that this definitely isn't worth the price - for me at least. It fell way below my expectations and I feel that a $2 pack of baby wipes does a better job than this at removing my makeup.

Overall this was super disappointing to me and I absol won't be purchasing it again. I will finish the bottle I have, but I won't buy it again.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I love this stuff! Its super easy to use, and while I don't buy the claim about having hundreds of uses in each bottle (I certainly don't get that much use out of it - is that just me?), it lasts such a long time. I find the formula really gentle, which is great because I have sensitive skin, but its super effective at removing make-up really quickly.

Tips: I like using this as a first step, and then following up with a make-up remover wipe or cleanser as a second step.
