Schick Hydro Silk Razor Review

I usually tend to use mens razors as I find they stay sharper for longer and give a closer shave. This razor might have changed my opinion on both counts.

I have found the razor easy to use and (thankfully) haven't cut myself with it or had a rash yet, so those skingaurds (whatever they are) must work a treat!

I also really like that this system has 5 blades in the razor, as most I have used before only have 3. I do think it gives a closer shave and as a result I have had to shave less frequently. I mean who doesn't love getting an extra day until the next time they have to shave!

The only reason I gave it a three star for "what it said it would do" is the weird serum around the blades. I found this to only last the first few shaves as it sort of oozed out even after I had finished shaving. It kind of went solid and then stuck out from the razor making subsequent shaves not as close. Other than that I can't fault it!

I have used a few of these before and they work great for the first few shaves. But if you are like me and leave your razor in the shower this particular razor's moisture tip gets very sticky since its water activated. Its like a gel that comes out. It can be a little too much when I am shaving my legs as well, it gets very sticky and I don't know whether I am actually shaving any hair or its just a thick layer of the gel stuff coming out. But it does leave your skin feeling smooth and no irritation.

Gives a close shave and does not cut or leave my legs feeling dried out. Swivel head helps to go over knees easily. All in all does what a razor should do.

Love the wide head and 5 blades, makes shaving so much easier. Gives a really close shave and makes my legs really feel smooth. Only thing I don't like about this razor is the slimy residue it leaves on your legs.

I was lucky enough to score this from the BR vault. Its a really nice razor to use, it glided along my skin effortlessly and it didn't irritate my skin or even feel like I was shaving. It didn't really leave my legs moisturised though, and I still have to carry around my simple razor as the Schick Hydro Silk Razor can't be used on my bikini line as its too bulky and not precise enough. I love this razor for my legs and underarms though because it provides a nice close shave with no irritation. However, I use soap to shave with and when I use this razor, it turns to a big gloopy mess all over my legs, that is kinda hard to wash off.

Overall this is a good razor. It's easy to hold and glides on the skin smoothly, shaving the hairs close to the skin leaving a smooth finish. Good to use for shaving underarms and legs. I also has hydrating bars to add moisture back to the skin. It's is good for people who have sensitive skin like me, however I did get shaving rash once. I did also still use soap using this razor

pros: what I found good about these razors was that I didn't have to keep going over the same spot due to the 5 blades. they had a good grip on the handle which helped reduce slip cons: they were a bit pricey. the lubrication bar thing came off mid shave

Got given one of these. Wouldn't say they are anything special, does the job thats about it. The soap or whatever on either side of the razors does seem to come off.

after using this shaver a couple of times was oky but after every use it started to downgrade for me. my legs aren't the best, and it doesn't help when you cop most of your Italian side, this shaver was enough for me and most of times made my legs feel absolutely smooth.

I love this product, nice and easy and the hand grip is great however I buy a whole new razor as the refills are so expensive!!
