I adore eye makeup and am a mascara fiend! I love trying out new mascaras and it's always great to find a new gem. Loreal's Manga mascara is my current fave mascara. It lengthens lashes and really makes eyes pop. I've even bought it in the purple and turquoise shades. Next stop, I also want to try the "Punky" version (I bought a tube in Europe but hopefully it will be out here soon too!)

Tips: Take your time to get used to the wiggly tip. Ignore the terrible Manga adverts - they make this mascara look clumpy and it isn't! It is great!
I'm so torn with this mascara. On the one hand I absolutely adore it! I've been lucky to be blessed with long lashes, and this product emphasises plus lengthens them even more. It's to the point where I could be mistaken for wearing falsies. Not only that, but this mascara separates and magnifies each and every individual lash so it looks like I have so many. I was literally so shocked. Above all, the volume this product gives you is incredible. Like, hands down, I feel like volume-wise it even beats my Maybelline HG mascaras.
However! This mascara sadly does flake, and gives (something that I personally don't like, but others might not really be fussed about) the spider-legs look. I feel like if it weren't for the spidery effect, this mascara would've shot right to the top of my HG mascara list.
Overall, I do recommend this even at its full price. I can't remember where I bought mine, but I know it was on sale.
Tips: make sure to curl your lashes before and after application. If you have long lashes already, you honestly will not need falsies after using this.
The mascara comes in a gorgeous metallic pink and black tube. The brush is long and tapered. Since I've begun using this mascara, I've fallen in love and other mascaras just don't compare anymore. The mascara gets me ridiculously long black lashes(and I mean long!) without clumping or making my lashes feel heavy. It still gives off a natural look as it doesn't make my lashes unnaturally thick-looking. The wand's shape is a bit awkward for my bottom lashes though but I don't mind because this mascara creates such a dramatic look. I would definitely repurchase this even though it's a bit pricier than other mascaras.
This mascara has a huge brush making for messy work. I have only used it about twice as I was so disappointed by it (especially for the price).
It definately lengthened my lashes but at the same time made them very chunky and messy looking.
I would say it is probably the brush and not the formula that is its problem.
I was given this mascara for my birthday and omg I looooovvvveeee this mascara! It's super black so it makes the lashes pop and makes the lashes look lush and long and voluminous. It doesn't flake or budge and it is honestly the best product I have used.
I purchased this a few days ago and I am really enjoying it. It lengthen and gives your lashes volume. I find this even after just one coat. (Although I do not need much lengthening and volume as I am lucky to have long lashes.) I usually do 1 of mascara. It also gives you the appearance of more lashes than you have as it seems to individualises them (if that makes sense). I find that it is not clumpy and does not smudge as well as lasting all day. It has an unusual wand applicator with it being wide at the bottom and narrow at the top. Because of the wand its probably not the most ideal applicator for the bottom lashes but this doesn't bother me as I usually only wear it on the top lashes for everyday look
i adore how thick and full my lashes look after one coat! the brush does scare me a little, and once iv put one or two coats on i like to spread the mascara out with a spoolie, i find it helps to spread my lashes out without putting more product on and making a mess
I picked up the waterproof (unbeknownst to me) version of this mascara from a big bucket sale late last year. Youtube fever strikes again!
I LOVE the effect of this mascara. It volumises, and lengthens! Finding both qualities in a mascara is quite rare.
This stuff does. not. budge. ever. It's insane. You want waterproof? You've got it! I'm yet to find something that can remove it without requiring me to abuse my eyes. I don't wear it daily for this reason, so I would love to try the non-waterproof version.
The full natural brush head is a fantastic shape, the tapered end makes it perfect to get the inner and the bottom lashes, and it's a somewhat dry formula so I don't have any issues with clumping.
The wand itself though, argh! A bendy wand? Whose idea was that? No comprende. If it weren't for the wand, this product would have gotten a 5/5!
Tips: Update: I have since used olive oil to try and remove this, it still requires some effort but it works faster and gentler than the makeup removers I have :)
When I saw the adverts for this plastered all over the TV and magazines showing these ultra long, thick lashes that supposedly give you a wider eye look for that manga effect I was all a fizz as I had to get one.
The packaging I have to admit is freaking cute in its black and pink shiny plastic barrel with a shape that is designed to allow you to hold it comfortably whilst applying, but then I used it and the love started to ebb a little. Firstly the bouncy effect of the wand....no! make it stop I ended up poking myself in the eye twice whilst applying this and I never do that!! Once you got a grip with the bouncy effect which comes from a bend in the wand that is designed to take the pressure applied while putting it on. The brush bristles are odd they seem to be too stiff but then again not stiff enough? I mean while I was applying the top lashes it went on nice and easy first coat, then the lower lashes the bristles seemed to soft to apply without causing a chain of clumpy mascara. Then whilst trying to do the second coat it started to clump a little but the bristles were too soft to actually get in there and work them out, couple that with the bouncy effect I almost gave up. Apart from the initial problems of clumping it didn't flake or smudge and lasted on my lashes all day. The effect too was pretty with moderately longer and fuller looking lashes but nothing as impressive as other mascaras.
I have continued to use this once or twice a week to give it a far go and have found that it doesn't clump at all now while applying so I wonder if that was just a teething problem as I got used to the wand but it still doesn't impress me enough to say that I need to replace it when I run out, which is a huge shame as I really love the design and look of it.
One of the stunning BR beauties' gifted this mascara to me and there was something about the packaging I liked. I must admit I was disappointed in myself because I hate pink but I couldn't ignore the pink metallic lid hehe!
I've been using this for a month and I was surprised when I realised it had a flexible wand - the heck? yes my thoughts exactly. I personally don't see how this aspect helps improve the application. Seriously what's with all the extra bits of "no added value" these days? I believe I'd still get the same results if it was a traditional wand.
I was doubtful of the conical shape of the brush tip but I'm quite impressed at just how great of job it does in reaching the inner corners of my lashes without smearing the area of skin around it! Over the weeks I've learned to take my time with application because it does clump and you can end up looking like the "girl who hasn't changed her mascara in 2 years".
I find that this product adds volume (when I can manage to layer it without clumps), definition and length (more obvious when my lashes are curled). Granted I do have big eyes but this mascara seems to make my eyes pop even more. Admittedly in my first week my lashes looked spidery so now when applying I remove a lot of the excess because I've noticed that the wand comes out saturated with product. Then I apply the product in very close sections so there is an even coat across my lashes.
There is no flaking or smudging throughout the day and no irritation to my eyes so I would quite happily have this in my collection again.
