L'Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer Review

I am usually not a frequent primer user. So trying this product was really good! Let's start with the good:

The product itself is pearly/shiny and goes on the skin smoothly. It is not heavily scented and I had no reactions in using the product. It is a nice size bottle; small enough to fit in a handbag or cosmetic bag but big enough to last a decent while. It has quite a runny consistency; this is both a good and bad thing in that it does go on nice and smoothly however it can be a little on the messier side.

Now for the cons. THE PACKAGING! To start with, I could not get the plastic topper cap off the product! I tried everything (including the classic classy bite it off). This only resulted in pulling the whole pump tube out so I just used it that way. Eventually I managed to get the topper cap off so I could use the pump. Then another issue arose. It just pumped out watery product. Even after shaking it. Gross. Let alone the pump spraying the product everywhere. Eventually I managed to get rid of this and could finally use the product how it was intended! Phew.

Once I was able to use it proper I can say that the pump was quite a good way to package this product as you only pump a small amount out at a time, reducing the risk of getting way to much out at once.

I liked the packaging; simple and elegant. It also had instructions (well not full on step by step) which suggest its uses; alone, under foundation or as a highlighter. The last primer I had did not have any kind of instruction so I quite liked this (especially for someone who isn't a huge user of primer).

I did find my makeup lasted a bit longer when I use this under my foundation compared to when I use no primer at all. It made my foundation spread on smoother and it seemed to stay nice throughout the day.

Overall, it is not a bad product - the main reason I rated it lower was because of the issues I had with the packaging. Personally, I don't know if I would buy it again at that price as I feel the other primer I have used (which was significantly cheaper) did a similar job. What I do prefer about this product to my last primer is the smoothness of the product.

I wanted to buy MAC strobe cream but heard this was a dupe for it so thought I would try it first to see if I liked it before I shelled out the money for the strobe cream.

I don't even need to buy the strobe cream now because I LOVE THIS! Its definitley a dupe for the strobe cream from what I have noticed but the plus side is the packaging is smaller and easy to store and is so much cheaper!

The texture is quite thin making it easy to spread and doesnt have a smell (from what I can tell) which makes it pleasant to use. Its a white shimmery colour which fades away when applied and leaves a beautiful glow to the skin.

I've had this tube for so long and a little goes a long way, I usually use 1 pump to do my whole face, sometimes two when I'm feeling a little dull and want some extra glow. I didnt find it helped my foundation last any longer than usual so I usually use another primer with it.

I will be buying this again when it eventually runs out!

I brought this towards the start of this year and really really like it! I swipe it over my skin with my fingers and then press it into the skin with patting motions. It make my skin look so lovely and glowy. This helps even my matte foundations look like they have a bit more 'life' to them. I probably wouldn't wear this alone as it is quite pearlescent, but it is also great under a light bb cream if you are going for a really fresh dewy look.

Wow this does what it says and I am delighted with the product. This primer is easy to apply; just smooth in very lightly with fingertips and it doesn't take much to cover your face. I put a small amount on to the back of my hand and mixed it before applying to make sure it was workable. I waited a few minutes before applying my foundation, with a brush of course, and its worth the wait because my makeup looks radiant and noticeably improved. It is also still fresh at the end of the day. My skin is looking good after cleansing too. I definitely recommend this product, its good value for an excellent result and I will definitely buy again.

This primer is just simply one of the best primers I have ever used. It consistently delivers! I mostly use this product when I feel like my skin needs a bit of a pick me up or when I am going out and really want my skin to glow. It really does add an extra dimension to the skin and works well under both BB Cream and foundation. The consistency is more of a liquid formula than a cream, it is white and reflective - it reminds me of MAC Strobe cream although it has more of a sheen to it. It comes in a convenient pump bottle which I love as you can easily customise how much product you need to use without wastage. To use I pump 2 pumps into my palm, warm up with my fingers and small amounts to my forehead, cheeks and chin, I then evenly distribute the product and push it into my skin by bouncing the product onto my skin using my fingers, this helps with really getting that product into your pores and helps the product to last longer, which in turn helps your foundation last longer.

I also sometimes use this on top of my skin after applying foundation if I really want to add an extra highlight on my cheekbones and forehead.

It has now become my Holy Grail primer

I bought this after watching a YouTuber's SharonMakeUp and ChloeMorello. They both raved about this.

First off, I was a little disappointed by the size of the product, but a little goes a long, long way. But for the price, it's a bit of a rip-off. I'd rather buy something high-end that's bigger.

The formula itself is light, smooth, thin - which is great because you don't want big white streaks on your face!

I use it both under my foundation, if I wear any, or on top of my BB cream as a highlighter and either way it's perfect. Definitely gives you the results you want.

I first bought this in need of a decent primer, before my Napoleon Auto-Pilot days. The formula looks beautiful. Its a sheer white and pearly colour. Its light and thin, the consistency is magic.

Its a decent primer, I think it works alright. It givers you a luminous, soft finish and sets your skin wonderfully. But Its just so shimmery. I love having matte skin and it finishes matte, but still has, not a glitter, but a dewy sheen. Some may love this but I tend to avoid it as I feel it makes me look oily or sweaty.

So it sat at the bottom of my make-up bag for a few months. Then I decided that it had the perfect glow to be a cheek highlighter. After my foundation was powdered and set, I lightly patted on the smallest amount onto my cheekbones and its just fantastic!

Its sheer and shimmery without being sparkly or 'wet' looking. Its my favourite highlighter at the moment, you only need the smallest amount so it will last me so much longer than it would if I used it as a primer.

I say if its not your favourite primer and you love a soft, not sparkly highlight, use it on your cheeks. You wont regret it.

I absolutely love this primer! I'm all for any product that can give me glowy skin. I pair this with the lumi magique foundation which goes so well together but recently I've been using urban decays naked foundation which is also an awesome partner for this. As well as giving the skin illumination it is also a pretty good primer itself. It makes my skin into a smooth canvas which makes the foundation go on so much nicer. All in all I love this product and will definitely repurchase. One gripe I do have? I hate packaging that doesn't show how much product is left!

I found this on my search for the perfect primer and quickly found it to be part of my daily 'no makeup look'. This is definitely not your matifying, long lasting primer. And I saw little difference in my makeups stay-ability. However it gave my skin an amazing dewy glow that was especially good at lightening my dark undereye circles. Under a BB cream it provides a smooth base for makeup application and fills in pores providing an airbrushed look, particularly in the dry areas around my nose and forehead. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to people who want an illuminating primer or even a highlighter.

I love this primer. I found it silky and easy to apply. It definitely adds an illuminating touch that shows through foundation. I especially like it in combination with the matching Lumi Magique foundation. Together they deliver a dewy, illuminating effect.
