Carousel Cosmetics Small Angled Brush Review

I found this wee brush quite good for applying my eyebrow powder, the angle on it helped to draw on the outlined shape around my brows and it also came in handy for doing eyeshadow

Due to an issue with stock, I ended up buying this item to help make up the value of the goods I had originally ordered which were no longer available. I bought it off of Beauty Bliss for only $5 because it was incorrectly labelled with the word spoolie but it normally retails for $9.

I really love the design and feel of the product. It’s the perfect size for makeup application on the eyes and lips and has a glossy black sturdy handle. The name Carousel “Spoolie” and a wee little horse are printed on the side.

Unfortunately I’m not too stoked with the brush tip. It’s a smidgen longer than I would like so there’s more movement when applying product which makes it a tad difficult for me try and draw a straight line. The tip is soft which is great however I feel that I have to go over my brows a few more times than I normally would because it doesn’t hold the product well (i.e. eyeshadow).

Another thing I noticed was not all the hairs were the same length going up in the angle – I’ve never seen this before with my other angled brushes so it was rather odd but for the price I let it slide and it didn’t impact too much on my application. The other angled brushes I use have shorter brush tips and are more dense which allows me to have control when applying product.

I wonder if I use a more waxy product if it’ll be easier to use on my brows? All is not lost however, I now use this brush for concealing under my brows which provides enough precision to tidy up under that area.
