Hands up, who has neglected their feet this winter?  Of course you have, your tootsies have been hidden away beneath socks and UGG boots.  And in spite of all they do for us, out of sight is out of mind.

But this fortnight Beauty Review is getting ready for summer and we're starting from the bottom up.  First up is giving our feet a little TLC and getting them looking their best for sandal season.

Hard skin and calluses have to be one of the worst things to happen to feet and not just because it looks, well, less than beautiful.  Build ups of hard skin, particularly on your heels can lead to painful splits - these wounds can add unnecessary pain to everyday life - regularly removal of dead skin cells can help prevent this.

We bet you've all 'filed' your feet at some point right?  From pumice stones to glass files, to metal tools that look like cheese graters; there's lots of choice for removing hard skin.  Whatever tool you choose, you'll have one more decision to make - will you use it on wet or dry feet?  It's a question that divides women everywhere! We wonder if this poll will finally give us the definitive answer?

The Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi features an ergonomically shaped soft touch handle and specially designed Micralumina™ roller head.  This battery powered device is used on dry skin - it rolls at high speed to gently buff away rough, hard skin.  Smooth feet, the easy way!

We're putting Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi to the test, and we need 25 great reviewers with feet in need of smoothing to put it to the test!  Check out BR's Video Crew member Charli in our How To Video to see how this ingenious little device works, and see if you'd be interested in trialing it!

So if this sounds like something you'd love to try tell us why below - we might just pick you!  And why not chat to us about your feet.  Do you suffer from callouses and hard skin and how often do you 'file' them? And, most importantly -  do you file wet feet, or dry feet?!

I do my feet with a pumice, after soaking them in a foot spa to make it a bit easier. Haven't done it for a while, and I need to as I can feel the dry skin catching on my sheets in bed at night! Not pleasant

My feet could do with some love at the moment. This sounds great.

I like filing my feet while wet. I just use the good ol pumice stone when I'm in the shower. It gets rid of callouses and hard skin while exfoliating your feet. My heels aren't overly cracked, like everyone else in my family, but they do get dry. I somehow dodged that bullet.

Always have done them dry

I would love to be considered for this, I recently had to go to the podiatrist as I somehow developed 2 painful corns on the sole of my foot they advised after removal to regularly file them - I have yet to find the perfect file. I have suffered from really dry cracked skin in my feet since the birth of my daughter. This looks super quick and easy to use

I use pumice, that Scholl device looks cool as tho

I have two small-ish lumps on the bottom of my feet (one each side) and they're just horrible bits of rough dry skin that peels all the time leaving me with rough crust edges lol :( I avoid letting the bf give me foot rubs cause I'm so disgusted by them. I do file them though (well I haven't for wuite a while) and they do smooth out eventually but for some reason I just stopped. I used to do it when my feet were dry cause I've never really known how to do it properly. I didn't follow up with any creams of any sort cause I was unsure of what I needed and if infact I did need it. I definitely need to start taking better care of these babies x

I mostly file my feet wet after they have soaked in water but sometimes I will do them dry. Love the sound of this as so many products are too gentle on my tough feet! They used to be well maintained when I worked in a nail spa (you would hope so) but now that I'm a stay at home mum I have to admit that they don't get done anywhere as often as they should.

I usually do it either in the shower or not long after I get out... the skin sloughs off easier.

So want to try this!!

Filing my feet sounds like something I really need to do!! I get quite rough feet and working in a bar I can be on my feet for a long time and they get pretty sore on the surface, would love to try this!

I use a pumice stone when they are wet, otherwise the skin is too hard to get off. I would love to try this one out though.

I have the exact same foot file as the one in the picture above and it does not work! My heels are really hard and no matter how hard I saw at them with the file they remain hard.

9th September, 2014

Definitely filing when wet.. I find it much easier.. My feet need this.. Don't really often file my feet....

The thought of filing my feet when wet gives me the heeby jeebies!!! When I was younger I would do it in a bath with a pumice but now I'm older I don't think I can get away with it. I do it when they're dry. I have a paddle with sandpaper on it that I use, I also have this green artificial pumice that I use when my feet are dirty; I think I got it from the body shop?
