Nine years and seven months ago, nearly to this day, a newly-minted mother heard about something called Beauty Review, a place where you could go and write your opinions on beauty products and maybe even receive a product to trial for free.
'Sounds like heaven,' she thought as she logged on and got reviewing; enjoying the moment to stretch the writing muscle that had once been used almost daily for over a decade as a copywriter, but had atrophied after nine months of figuring out how to keep a tiny human alive.
As you may have guessed by now, that early days Beauty Review member was me, and it's safe to say Beauty Review was my sanity saver in those early months of motherhood. One of the aspects I adored the most? The Beauty Review Forum. So what's so great about that particular corner of the Beauty Review internet? Why should you get chatting wtih fellow beauty lovers? Where would we be without our pocket friends? Those who we might never meet, but who through online communication we form a bond with over mutual interests. Over the years, we've had the pleasure of watching our members bond through the forum, with friendships sometimes even spilling over into real life, and it's been an honour and a pleasure knowing that the Beauty Review forum helped facilitate that.

Moved to a new town and in need of a new hairdresser? Perhaps you're considering threading your brows but are worried about the process? If you're looking for a helping hand, or a finger that'll point you in a good direction, the forum fam are always there to help! (It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, if you've a question that's health related, talk to a health practitioner.)

I enjoy the forum. Before I changed job roles I used to be in there on the daily. Now it's every and now again to catch up on what's new. Was also a great help through lockdown. Changing beauty habits and places of purchases, supporting nz brands locally, TV and movie recommendations, the list goes on.
