Last time we voted on primers a whopping 70% of you told us it's a crime NOT to prime.

Eyes may be the windows to the soul, but do we really need a separate proudcts for them?  From separate anti aging creams, to eye specific make up removers; more and more products are being aimed at our peepers.

Australis Eyeshadow Primer has been formulated "specifically for eyelids to extend the wear of eyeshadow colour. It is an oil controlling formula with silica and eye shadow magnets, providing heavy-duty staying power that's gentle on the eye area".

So what say you?  Do your eyes need their own shelf in your bathroom or do you believe one product can do it all?  Are products aimed at specific body parts more effective?

Hate hate HATE it when the eye shadow I've put on creases...esp when I've spent a decent amount of time putting it on. I've been trying to decide which primer to buy now that I've been getting more into make-up. Good to know Australis do a primer!!

For the days I want to go all out and look flawless I would love to try an eye primer! I wouldn't usually use any product on my eyes not made to be gentle for that area but am getting the first signs of eye wrinkles now so makeup doesn't sit as easily as it used to!

Iv never used an eye primer before! Since I invest so heavily on eyeshadows it would be great to try out, especially if it allows my shadow to stay on longer and stops fall outs! If so, then yes please!

I use the elf eyeshadow primer and it works pretty average, i think it's more a mental feeling of security using it than anything else, haha. I'm still on the lookout for one that noticeably makes a difference.

I LOVE primers but yeah interested to see how this one is.. I've only used the ELF one which is good for sticking glitter and stuff on but a bit crinkly.

Im famous for my eye makeup, then again...Im also famous for my eyeshadow creases! At the moment I just use my all over primer on my eyes but still nothing, nada, zero, no difference! Bring on the eye ( and ear) primer!

I have never tried Eyeshadow primer and would really love to as my eyeshadow never lasts!

Absolutely necessary! I do not always use a primer, sometimes replacing primers for crème shadow. Either one is fine, but nothing at all is a crime! Without it looks chalky, and is much harder to blend... and by the end of the night your shadow will be making friends with your blush!

I have been an avid smashbox eye primer user for a long time, but my circumstances have changed and I can no longer afford to constantly splurge on high end cosmetics. I would love to be able to try this product as im running out of my smashbox, not only because its finishing but to see if there is a cheaper product that works just as well, we shouldn't have to break the bank in our quest for beauty haha <3

Haven't used a primer at all ever - I am a little skeptical about the need to. I am also a little reluctant to load anymore product than absolutely necessary around my eyes - they are already droopy and pouchy! However, maybe I need to trade foundation/concealer for primer and see if it makes the difference?

I think primers are great but you have to get a good one otherwise its useless. I have tried ELF as one and that wasnt very good.. Currently I am using the Maybelline eye tattoo pots..the white one or the neutral skin coloured one works beautifully as a primer and makes any eyeshadow last all through the day without creasing. I find without any sort of primer, the shadows dont show up very well or not as vivid as in the pan. Would love to trial the Australis one to see if its any good :)

Haven't tried an eye primer but have been meaning to get one,People swear by them :)

So would the primer not only make the eyeshadow stay on longer, but also come off easier?

4th October, 2013

I use a face primer and separate eye shadow primer, I think its defs needed. Eye shadow primers make you look last longer as well as make the colours pop. I only use it when I am going out and need a long wear look. I have used the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion and the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, I really like both of them! Sometimes the consistency of face primers and concealers are not right for the eye area. And usually a little goes a long way.

I have never used eye primer, but im allways getting the eyeshadow stuck in the crease of my eye and end up looking like a clown! Ive put face primer on my eyes before but it didnt seem to do much!!
