When I think of the French I (somewhat bizarrely perhaps...) think of two things. Those little cakes, French Fancies, and Carrie Bradshaw. I know, she's a New Yorker. I'm not even on the right continent. And yet that's what I think of. You know what I'm on about right? At the end of the final season*, when Carrie moves to Paris with the eternally annoying Aleksandr and she embraces the grace, style and elegance of the French by channeling her faux-French side? I mean look at her - could she be any more Français? Non. She could not.
I think all of us, at one point, have wanted to get our French on. There's something about French beauty that is timeless. Although, they've had a little help for a century and a half from one of the most fabuleux brands ever. Bourjois.
We're going to be putting two of our favourite Bourjois products to the test - both will help you fake fresh 'n' fancy like the French.

First up, the iconic Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush - one of a lady's must-have product since 1863. Look at the evolution of this baby! Little Round Pot Blush was the first ever dry powder make-up that was accessible to all women in the 19th century - we make-up lovers owe this little pot, a lot.
So it's been around for 150 years, it's obviously good, but what makes it so good? Well when applied to the skin, the baked texture transforms into an ultra-fine pressed powder, which is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the brush reveals the irresistible aroma of the rose scented powder. And of course, there's the packaging - not only très chic and cute, it's practical too - there's a built in mirror and a brush - it's perfect for on the go touch ups!
The second Bourjois goodie this trial team will be reviewing is a more modern offering from the range, but equally as wonderful - It's the Bourjois Push Up Volume Glamour Mascara. Because - what French lady would be seen without lucious lashes?!
The Push Up mascara has this uplifting brush that coats lash by lash, creating curl and boosted volume and length. This curl and volume will hold for 16 hours - this is the mascara to take you through the day and into the night!
So - what do you think of when you think of French style and beauty? Have you tried many products from the Bourjois range? What's your favourite? Discuter en bas!

*Oh and that final season? Yeah that's 10 years old now. Feel old yet?!
