Going blonde isn't a low maintenance choice.  We all know the regrowth is a pain to keep up with, and of course, how many 'I wrecked my hair' horror stories have we heard?

But let's say you don't mind the upkeep, and have kept your hair healthy, is that all there is to being blonde? Nope.  Unless you've stumbled upon the perfect shade, you're going to need to tone.

Toner cancels out and corrects unwanted tones in your hair, from brassy or yellow, to orange or ash.  Toney evens out your hair colour - it's especially important if you've had your regrowth done, other wise you're risking blonde stripes.  Toner also 'seals' your colour, adding incredible shine.  Think of it as a topcoat!

We're putting Brilliant Silver White Hair Toner to the test.  This at-home product claims to be the fastest and easiest toner around - which lets be honest, is always a selling point when it comes to hair colour products!

All you need to do is add a few drops of Brilliant Silver White to a jug of warm water and pour over your hair.  No washing, no rinsing.  When your hair is dried you'll see the full results - no more yellow or brassy tones for up to 6 washes!

Here's some facts about Brilliant Silver White:

  • There's 30 applications in each bottle.
  • It can be used on blonde and grey hair.
  • It adds softness and shine.
  • It is certified cruelty free and Vegan by Peta.

So...we need some blondies to give this a go and tell us...is the hype real?  Can you get your best blonde hair, ever, in just a few seconds?

Nope, I've never been blonde.

After going from black to blonde (slowly!) I've been using fudge purple shampoo, so I'd love to give this a go for comparison

I'm going blonde at the moment from being a red head for the last 2 years and Id be too scared to do a home job toaned just incase the shade was wrong or it counteract differently. I don't want to be turned orange . I could be persuaded for a totally amazing product though

2nd January, 2016

I have blonde hair with some white showing and would love to try this as I don't normally tone my hair at home and this sounds easy.

Being a blonde by way of home colouring, this sounds like the product for me! I am always working on maintance for my blonde hair

I dream of California Blonde but I end up with Canary yellow lol..I'd be keen to try this and see if it's as easy and fast to use as it says. Saying goodbye to brassy, yellow tones would be 'BRILLIANT'.

I have been colouring my own hair for a while now and have gradually gone lighter but it wasn't looking very good so I went to my hairdresser who gave me some blonde streaks about 6 weeks ago which looked really good. Now that my hair is growing out, my dark brown roots are showing through and the rest of my hair is a mixture of blonde and a brassy yellow blonde. I would really love to try this toner and see what a difference it could make.

This does sound great. My hair has a tendency for brassiness and I do tone it to try to get it to be a fresh blonde.

I am very interested to see this work. I have just done a home job blonde and i like it, but would like to make it a little bit less yellow blonde and more white blonde.

30th December, 2015

I would love to try this as my silver hair is prone to go a bit yellow even though I protect it from the Sun.

Now I am grey I have started to frost my hair which helps to disguise regrowth but I only just started to use a toner as the blonde highlights turned yellowish. I would love to try this product as it sounds easy to use and if it produces the results as well then I would be a convert

Would love to try this at home because this is what my hairdresser does, but it doesn't last that long , so would be great to have a home remedy.

I tone my hair.. I find it gets me though in between getting my hair done... would love to try something new. I use Angel. It's good but if your not quick you defo get the purple tone! Would love to try this. Sound interesting!

I have a natural dirty blonde thing happening on my crazy locks, I used to use purple conditioner religiously but unfortunately just ran out and being a student I don't really have the means to splash out on fancy hair care :( but i would defiantly be keen to try this out and if i fall in love i might have to start saving some bucks!

I desperately tone my hair at home hoping to cut down on the gold tones which I absolutely loathe. I sit for 1/2 hour with fudge shampoo on before washing it out and it only just gets a satisfactory result. My hair is ombre and I am letting a peck of silver that is coming through the front edge of my hairline grow out hoping for a more silvery look. Would really LOVE to try this toner!
