Do You Get in a Twist Over Your Tangled Hair?

When Prince Charming asked Rapunzel to let down her hair he didn't consider the effort she'd have to go through to de-tangle it after.

Whether loose for the day or in a sleek up-do, it's safe to say when you've finished washing the day out of your hair you're going to encounter a few tangles or knots. The longer, curlier or more unruly your hair, the more time you're going to spend detangling.  And if you have kids with long hair, urgh, you'll soon learn that kid-life and long hair do a tangled mess make.

Seriously, sidebar for the parents among y'all.  Is there anything more annoying than detangling your kids hair?  The pre-wince before you begin to comb.  The inevitable 'ouchie' the nanosecond the detangling implement touches their hair.  The pulling away as you're working on a big knot that results in THEM yanking the hair through the brush, yet somehow declaring you the meanest parent alive.  I repeat.  So.  Annoying.

Now I jumped on board the detangling brush a few years ago - we actually have 3 Mita TanglePros in our house, the compact ones that fit into the palm of your hand.  Why three? One for my thick barnet, one for the boys' curly heads and one for The Husband's beard.  We all love them.  I love mine as it detangles my hair with ease, even if I've forgotten to brush it for a few days.  The boys love it because it doesn't pull their hair and it helps mama get the job done faster.  And The Husband loves it because it detangles a large area at once while being ergonomical.  My love for the Mita TanglePro is why I'm so excited about our latest trial opportunity!

We're putting the new Mita TanglePro to the test.  It features new flexi-glide technology for speedy, gentle detangling on wet or dry hair. The unique contoured head curves to the shape of your scalp for optimum results while the multi length bristles help minimise hair breakage.  The ergonomic non slip handle is comfortable and makes for easy handling.   The best bit is it's suitable for all hair types, so whether you have thick, fine, curly or coarse hair, you'll easily be able to get it to its best, most manageable state ever.

So if you'd like to join this trial team - for yourself or your brush-resistant children, tell us below!  And why not chat to us about you tangle woes and any tips you have too!

I currently have the crappiest brush which the handle falls off, just haven't got around to buying a new one, plus I hate brushing my hair! I've thought about just cutting it all off cause it's super long and always knotty. Would love to try this!

I have crazy curly hair so I would love to try this! Because it’s crazy I only comb my hair maybe once a week. It’s such an ordeal. I have a tangle teezer which I’m not really a fan of as it doesn’t have a handle, so this seems perfect. Can’t wait to read everyone’s reviews

I have super thick hair and so I need to spend ages brushing it everyday, it usually hurts too :/ I feel like this detangling brush would be amazing!!

I have extremely thick, curly, long (past my butt) hair that is a time consuming mission to detangle, breaking lots of hair and brushes in the process! I hate brushing my hair lol. I would love to trial this please.

My hair is so thick and because I colour it is often dry. I find that my hair matts underneath so is hard to keep under control. I find that a leave in conditioner does help a bit with untangling. Don't fall victim to the detangle shampoos either they are a crock. To rid myself of the ouch face when I brush my hair would be beyond amazing.

I have wavy/curly hair which is always tangled! Growing up this was alway a struggle because it would always become frizzy if i brushed it. These days I comb it before I wash it and then let it dry curly, however this is time consuming and often ends out pulling out a lot of hair!

My hair is very short so tangling is not a problem... will pass on this one.... cheers

I have long thick hair so a good brush is a must as it gets knotted very easily. I've always wanted to try yeh tangle teezer as I've heard good things about it. I would love to try this brush as it has a handle so looks like it's easier to use and more practical. Id be interested to see how it compares to a normal hair brush

This would be so cool to try!! I have super fine hair that tangles easily, and none of my hair brushes seems to make my hair really smooth. If anything it damages my hair :(

A tip would be brush your hair in the shower after a hair wash, i find this detangles my hair. Rather than brushing my hair after shower.

Id also reconmend using a hair serum :)

YES! My hair always tangles! I have to be super careful when brushing my hair as it breaks easily due to the ‘thinness’ of it. I would love to try this!!

I need so much help with my waist length thick wavy hair especially in summer it turns into a knotty nightmare after swimming at the beach....

I once got a round brush stuck in my hair, so bad that my mum had to CUT it out! Needless to say, I choose my brushes very carefully now!

My hair gets tangled easily, especially the back. This is because I toss and turn a lot when I sleep, and also because my hair is naturally quite dry and brittle. I already use the Mita 'Tangle Teezer'-style hair brush (I have two - one for the car and one for my handbag) and the boar bristle brush, so I am sure I'll love this one too :)

My daughter has waist length curls and every morning it’s an absolute mission to brush through them! A new brush to trial would be fab.

I would be using this on my daughters hair if I get to trial this, she is like a wild beast with a long and tangled mane of hair and I am interested to see if this does what it says it will, all the brushes in the house are full of her hair .......as it gets wrenched out, so am keen to see how a de tangling brush actually works.

I need to trial this, I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as well as a few other health issues and my hair has decided that everytime I wash it that it will be a big knotty mess and a mission to try and brush. I have a detangle brush but it doesn't seem to do the job that well and add not having much energy its a real struggle. I would love a brush that has a better design to help make getting the knots out much quicker with less effort!
