Are You Crying Over Hair Drying?

This giveaway has now closed and has been drawn.  The winner is EliseRose and has been notified to their BR inbox.

How long do you spend drying your hair?  A quick round up of the Beauty Crew puts us at an average of 15 minutes per blow dry, 4 times a week.  That's 52 hours a year!

52 hours a year with your arms and hands in awkward positions above and around your noggin.  I mean, I'm all for a good bicep workout, but, hair drying?  It's just so...meh.

THE NEW DRYER ON THE MARKET.

The latest addition to the Remington PROLUXE family is the PROLUXE Digital Hair Dryer - Remington's lightest, quietest salon hair dryer that boasts a powerful motor for professional results.

Do you resent the time you spend drying your hair?  This baby has 2300 watts of power for fast drying with 100/km airspeed.

If frizz is your problem, it has an even, steady heat distribution with a natural source of ions for frizz reduction. The ionic conditioning technology gives you frizz-free, shiny results.

WHY IS A DIGITAL MOTOR BETTER THAN STANDARD MOTORS?

If you've not used a dryer with a digital motor before, you won't know what has hit you (or your hair!).

A hair dryer powered by a standard motor doesn't have much in the way of control; you can turn them up, turn them down, make them hot, make them cold.  A digital motor on the other hand allows for more sophisticated control over speed and temperature. They're also super lightweight, great for people with joint or mobility issues in their hands and arms.

Yes a digital dryer will tend to be a little more expensive but the great news is you're going to get a much longer life span out of your dryer!   A really standard hair dryer motor will begin to wear within 400 hours, a slightly more upmarket dryer and you might squeeze 800 hours of drying out of it.

But a digital motor?  They can power your hair dryer for up to 10,000 hours!

Price is a super huge factor for me when buying anything really. Other than that, in a hair dryer, I look at aesthetics, how many settings it has, how quiet it is, and how fast it is at drying my long, fine hair as I don't have all day to do so and become deaf at the same time. It also needs a long cord, as the plugs in my bathroom don't work, so I have dry it in the lounge, in front of a mirror.

Price is pretty important, however I wouldn't compromise on quality for price if it was going to give me an outstanding product. I have long thick, colour treated and frizzy hair at the best of times so I really need something that can handle the jandal! I am also intrigued by the new technology with some of the newer hair dryers. After all when you have long hair you want to give it the best treatment because growing out a whole lot of damaged hair takes a very long time! Personally I wouldn't want to compromise. This sounds like a pretty amazing hair dryer. Pretty sure I would like to hang out at my house!

2nd April, 2020

During the lockdown I'm just letting my hair air-dry and frizz. No one outside my colleagues and clients can see me ...

2nd April, 2020

Definitely something with a decent number of temperature options as I'm trying to (slowly) repair damaged hair and move away from using too much heat. Also, a dryer that is easy to move and hold so that it's easier to use a brush at the same time

2nd April, 2020

Temperature controls are a must and a speed that's not too fast that it's just blowing your hair everywhere..

2nd April, 2020

For me, the most important feature of any hair dryer is the motor. I have very thick, heavy, long hair and because it takes a very long time for my hair to dry properly, motors don't tend to last very long.

1st April, 2020

Something that gets the job done quickly without damaging my hair, light weight, different heat settings, leaves hair shiny and fairly static free, has a long enough cord and importantly is quiet. I was my hair at night and refuse to go to bed with wet hair so a hair dryer that doesn't keep my housemates up is good.

1st April, 2020

Essentials in a hairdryer are a grunty motor, a selection of heat/fan settings, not too heavy and controls that are easy to reach and use.

1st April, 2020

Lightweight sounds a bonus with this dryer and I just learnt that digital lasts longer, I'm intrigued. I do prefer quality if the budget allows as you usually get what you pay for with electronics. I tend to read reviews to weigh up a decision. We have long hair in our household so something that can provide some oomph is a winner.

1st April, 2020

When I purchased my last hairdryer (more years ago than I can remember now!) Ionic was all the rage! I have fly away hair and something extra to control the frizz was all right by me...!!! I have super long hair and with my dinosaur it currently takes me around 20+ minutes to be fully dry. Sometimes my arm goes kinda dead too lol! When lockdown is over I definitely think a new hairdryer is on the top of my shopping list!!!

1st April, 2020

would love this my hair dryer gets a workout with 3 of us girls sharing it in our house!

1st April, 2020

Ooooh yes please!! I'd love this! My ol trusty Avon hair dryer I've had for 6 years just broke a week ago!!!

1st April, 2020

Would love to win this.

1st April, 2020

what i look for in a new hair dryer is, different settings, as i use it for myself and my daughter, i like it a bit hotter, she needs it cooler. i need to have the curly hair attachment, i also look for ones that are time efficient. so im not spending alot of time doing it. lastly is cost, im not going to spend way to much just cause its awesome, got to be budget friendly. this one would be amazing, would love to dry my hair in a shorter amount of time

1st April, 2020

Drying my thick, frizzy, curly hair is legitimately the worst part of my beauty routine! This might make it a bit easier and the diffuser could be a good experiment too!
