Laser tattoo removal

So tomorrow I have a consultation at the laser clinic to see about getting a tattoo removed. It is quite large and I am just wanting it faded enough so I can get something over it. Anyone had a tattoo removed before? I know it is painful but that does not bother me. Hoping for good results.

I had one removed but that was in the 80s and it was cut out by a dermatologist - very painful and very expensive. It should have been done in two stages but I had him do it in one because I knew I wouldn't go through it twice. It didn't end too well and I have a large scar on my forearm. It doesn't bother me though, I'm past caring about those kinds of things these days :) I do kick myself for getting them in the first place (I still have one) though. Silly things I did when I was young. Good luck. I've seen them do it on tele and it seems short and sharp.

Omg Maree they cut it out! That sounds friggen awful. I know the clinic gets good results and I have seen before and after pics. I'm guessing 4-6 sessions as mine is dark.

I saw them doing laser on the programme of Kate Piper about people fixing things they regretted on their bodies. That poor girl really had to suffer from her acid attack. How evil.

My partner had his upper arm (from shoulder to elbow) black ink tattoo lasered. Can't remember how many sessions it took but it faded it enough to get another tattoo (coloured) done on top.

Maree that lady is lovely. Poor thing! Cool Toni, that sounds promising for me. The lady said we have to do it in sections. So 4-6 sessions then will see how it looks. Going to wait until summer is over though as it needs to be covered from the sun. I am excited to start though.
