Help me find a new warm brown lipstick shade

Dearest Makeuppers,
I have been looking for a new lipstick to replace one of mine that isn't quite right, and I need some help.  I have blue eyes. brown/goldish short hair, and fair but not pale skin - a soft & warm complexion.  I like to wear a brown lipstick from time to time but the one I've got has a somewhat cold sheen, and I want one that is a completely warm tone.
The one I'm using is L'Oreal Infallible Lingering Mocha 816. It's about a medium brown - darker than an almond/bronze shade, and not dark enough to be getting towards maroon or vamp shades.
 
I need something that is medium to long wearing (low maintenance please), texture suitable for occasionally dry lips (Revlon HD lipstick is way too sleek), doesn't seep into the lines of my lips, has decent coverage and opacity (my lips are a bit of a dark pink - many sheer lipsticks don't cover my natural lip colour).  Not a full matte lipstick, as too drying.  I prefer a creamy lipstick, it can be somewhat glossy like the Infallible range.  
Price range up to $30, or $40 for something REALLY special!

I had a look at some on Trademe via Splashstore where I have found some good stuff, such as Cinnamon Toast from L'Oreal, but the local stores don't carry the range and I really want to test before buying. Have also had a long look through the Revlon Super Lustrous range and there doesn't seem to be a decent brown - mostly variations of pink and red.

Is it too hard?  What is your best brown lipstick?

The perfect shade of brown lipstick would be one of the shades I've struggled most to find. I'd recommend looking at MAC swatches and see if you can find a shade you like there, since they have one of the bigger ranges of brown that I can think of. Then you could look for a dupe of that shade if you want something cheaper. Good luck.

you could try Mac photo,  Rimmel Cappucino , Nyx High Voltage in Stone or Jordana Frappucino. Hopefully you find one. I like brown tones. My Tom Ford Casino is brown toned .

What is the formula on that particular Jordana lipstick like?  I have about 6 Jordana lipsticks and they are all quite different, and only 1 of the 6 has a good application. The others are somewhat dry, which makes them quite long lasting but not so good to put on.
edit... images that come up for Frappucino is exactly what I'm after.  The one I'm trying to replace is just like that but has a cold sheen.  I'm off to see if I can find it as soon as the shops open!

Hey Macs, do you know where to find this particular Jordana range?  My usual sources of Jordana are for traditional lipsticks, not this Modern Matte range.  thanks

I mostly find Jordana in Dollar stores. I just had a look on Fishpond and it's out of stock at the moment in that shade.

I love my brown lippies from Living Nature and Karen Murrell.  Antipodes have just released a new lipstick range, too.  Can you get into a store to check them out?

There are a few brands to look at. Colourpop, loreal, Nars, Nyx, Kat Von D and Bobbi Brown to name a few. These brands all do Warm brown shades xx Good luck on your search.

I agree with Amy with the brands she's mentioned for deep brown lipsticks my favorite from colourpop is the matte lippiestix Tootsie its a grey brown then there's grunge I'm not sure if it's still out but it was part of the 90s collection that is a deep brown
Charlottes Tilburys revolution matte lipstick in very Victoria is a nice brown too & Nyx liquid suede lipstick has a nice grey brown. Locally such brands as Mellow has a nice brown I found Budapash a brown with red undertone. The Mellow lipsticks are very comfortable on the lips opaque however you can't feel it on your lips & there's no transfer with good longevity. Nyx lip creme in Budapest is a brown & Abu Dhabi is a nice brown too. I do hope this helps & you find the lipstick you've been searching for

I'm back, a few dollars poorer, but found some interesting stuff. On Mac's recommendation I ordered some Jordana Modern matte Frappuccino through Beauty Joint, will be wewring it tomorrow. It's got the right creamy but not too slick texture that works on my lips. The shade is good and brown also.
Also got the shade Whisper which turned out to be a dupe for Tart by Doll face, so just deciding if I'll keep it or not. 
Also got Nyx butter gloss, something new for me, in Praline shade. Feels nice, smells good but when I look in the mirror a little later I can't see any colour left, even though the shine & gloss remains. Something to re-test! 
L'oreal Natures Blush from Splash store is a really good light nudey brown but comes off quite easily, will have to try it with a primer underneath. Also Cinnamon toast is a lovely dark Shiney warm brown which I love. Found that the latter really needs lip liner to keep it in place but luckily I already had a matching shade. 
Now I've found a reasonable quality lipstick in the Modern mattes, I think I'll get a couple more. They have a crappy tube, which is a negative. Very similar formula to Wet n Wild long lasts which I ditched because the tube broke.

I'm glad you found a brown. Funny I was at a clearance sale today looking for a brown lipstick. Nothing there. I'm thinking of making a trip to the new beauty bliss store in new market.
