Recently we ran an article about brands we wished would make their way to little old New Zealand, one of those brands was Charlotte Tilbury. Well, it’s safe to say that want has safely grown since the article was first talked about, and it’s all because of this product:
Magic Foundation. Yep, that’s its name, and really, that’s a pretty big claim. I mean, to call a foundation ‘magic’ you’d expect it to rewind the clock, making you more youthful, luminous, all whilst hiding uneven skin tone, rosacea, pimples… the whole shebang! To be fair, she also has Magic Cream, Magic Eye Rescue, Magic Night Rescue Cream, and Lip Magic, it’s clearly just part of the brand, but still, as someone who is always on the lookout for an amazing foundation to put the word ‘magic’ in front of it, well, it better live up to its name.
So what does it claim to do? According to the Charlotte Tilbury website Magic Foundation was ‘five years in the making, and is a new generation of anti-ageing full coverage foundation that morphs (MORPHS! How magical is that!?) to your face in a weightless texture, for a perfect looking second skin that lasts all day.’
It furthers says that problem skin will transform into perfect looking skin before your very eyes. The formula does not sit in imperfections. And most excitingly… ‘Whether you suffer from acne, redness, discolouration or dull, tired skin Magic Foundation will give you a perfect looking skin day, every day!’
Of course, the pictures accompanying it are of beautiful youthful women looking flawless, and while Charlotte did create a miniseries of videos showing how to apply Magic Foundation to all sorts of skin and skin issues, I’m still an untrusting wee thing, so I took to Instagram to see if there were any before and after photos that would allay my ‘are you sure?’ fears.
Check these pics out…
Is it just me? Are you seeing what I’m seeing? Redness disappears, blemishes too, and the skin looks super even and glowy!
Another couple of ticks in the ‘yay’ box for this range - there’s a huge variety of colours to suit many skin tones, it contains the antioxidant Vitamin C, features Hyaluronic Filling Spheres to plump up wrinkles, and Laricyl, a concentrated mushroom extract that apparently improves the firmness of your skin while tightening pores and flooding (FLOODING!) the skin with moisture.
Yep, CT’s Magic Foundation really does look like it would do the business. And while it’s not the cheapest foundation on the market – at the time of writing it was around NZ$66 - it’s not the most expensive either and the proof appears to be in the pudding… or the pictures.
Oh, Charlotte, could you just bring your goodies over here already?
So, do tell… have you magically managed to get a hold of Magic Foundation? Do you adore it? Is Magic Foundation on your wish list? Should we start some magical meditation at night all channelling one thought ‘Charlotte Tilbury, bring your range to New Zealand’ and hopes she hears us? Chat away…
I NEED this , please beauty crew do your magic and persuade them to bring to too NZ
