Sally Hansen Colour Therapy Cuticle and Nail Oil Review

Super happy to review this range from Sally Hansen, its fantastic! Ive been applying this cuticle oil on my nails and cuticles everyday since i received it. Its a nice and light oil that absorbs into your cuticles nice and quick. The brush is super nice and a great width with almost a square finish. Its very lightly scented and a nice runny consistency. Really ladies its a must try. My nails seem so much healthier looking and I've less dry bits to pull at (ouch) Combined with the nail polish its a great system.

My hands get a hammering with work and are often neglected so I was looking forward to trying the Nail and Cuticle Oil. The oil comes in an attractive bottle with a nice wide brush which makes application easy. You are instructed to brush onto your cuticles and nails daily, massage in and to wash off before applying polish. I just massaged it on and left it on overnight as it was a quick and simple process that left my nails and cuticles feeling strong and shiny. After only a week I've seen a marked improvement and they are very smooth and feel in great condition!

A little goes a long way so this is well worth the money and a great addition to may nail care regime. Highly recommended!

I have very dry skin, particularly on my hands. I try to moisturise my hands before bed each night, but I'm not exactly an angel about it. As a result, my cuticles are usually dry and cracked.

Since receiving this product to trial I've been keeping it on my bathroom shelf to apply before bed. I dot it on with the lovely flattened brush and quickly massage it in. It takes all of 30 seconds, but I've noticed a big improvement in the cuticle condition. It only takes a tiny amount of product, so the bottle is going to last me forever!

Now that I've started this easy new habit I'm wondering why I didn't start long ago! At $18 for a bottle that will last months or even years, this is a worthwhile investment in my poor hands and nails. I look forward to seeing if it helps my weak, dry nails get stronger, too. I'll keep you posted!

Super happy I received this as a trial product! I love doing my nails and now I finally can let you all know the low down of this cuticle oil! First of all.... smells amazing! Vanilla scent and the brush itself is flat which I love as the coverage is alot better. The oil reminds me of a serum and you just massage it in to your cuticles and nails. I done this each night and I'm happy to say my cuticles no longer tear or look dry and my nails are starting to look healthy again. This is a must have in your nail collection for sure.

I always enjoy doing my nails but have problems with them being brittle and nail polish chipping/falling off my nails easily. Enter cuticle oil! Now my nails are growing back healthier and stronger, my cuticles and the skin around my nail beds is more hydrated and less prone to cracking, and I can wears nailpolish for longer than an afternoon!! I haven't been taking any supplements or using any other nail care products, other than the Sally Hansen coloured nail polish that came with the trial.

The oil only smells slightly, and it isn't an unpleasant scent. I find a swipe or two on/around each nail is plenty. Just apply and massage it into your cuticles, you'll be seeing changes in a week or two :) :)

Two small negatives for me are that the oil bottle is hard to tell apart from the top coat, and also that the wand is very wide so can be hard to get back into the bottle without bending the bristles on the lip.

I really love this nail and cuticle oil, it absorbs really well into the cuticle area and has quite a nice smell to it aswell. It is also the same size as the nail polish and top coat products, so there is plenty and will last quite awhile. I have used it everyday since receiving it and it has made a big improvement to my nails. I would honestly rate it as one of the best nail and cuticle oils I have used and this has been my favourite trial product in the Sally Hansen range. I found it really easy to apply and not messy. An excellent product overall and doe's exactly what it says it will, my nails and cuticles did look instantly healthier, restored and rejuvenated!

I've been trying to grow out my nails after having super brittle and weak nails from playing piano. Before this, I rubbed coconut oil on my nails and the cuticle area, and noticed significant improvements. So I stopped my coconut oil treatment for a week before starting this.

I love how the brush is short and wide, and the hairs are flexible enough for me to reach into all the crevices around my nails. I apply this in one sweep over the base of my nails and then more carefully on the underside of my nails (the tips that go past my fingers). I feel like it has helped moisturise the skin around my nails and also keep my cuticles tidier. I haven't had a single 'cuticle flap' since using this, which is a good sign. Also just yesterday I accidentally smacked my finger into the sink when washing my hands yet miraculously my nails didn't chip!! I'm feeling lots of good vibes from this, hope it continues protecting my nails in the long run!

Before I start, I was sent this product by Beauty Review as part of the Sally Hansen Colour Therapy set to trial. This review is 110% honest and I truly do love this product.

My cuticles are usually a little dry (not too dry though, I don't usually take much notice of it). I used this for around 7-10 days while wearing nail polish and then used it for a couple more days after using the nail polish (and still using!) :))

So here's what I think: Application - OMG IT'S SO EASY AND CONVENIENT!! The shape of the brush is perfect and it's very soft. It goes around the whole cuticle without missing any bit. It also goes on smoothly and doesn't look oily at all!

Scent - The smell is so nice!!! If you smell it from the bottle it seems like it has a very strong smell. But after application, I find the scent to be a very pretty subtle vanilla-ish fragrance. I love it!!

Results with nail polish - I was quick to notice that my nails look very healthy even with the nail polish on! My cuticles were soft (they usually dry up when I have nail polish on) and smooth (no pieces of skin peeling off -which is very surprising!) I think the Sally Hansen Colour Therapy Nail polish might have also contributed to the healthiness of my nail/cuticles as well as this cuticle oil. However, I'm honestly more than impressed with this oil!

Results after nail polish - No matter what nail polish remover I use, I always seem to get dry nails and cuticles for the couples after removing the polish. Which using this product after removing, I am AMAZED!!! No dry nails, No dry cuticles, Soft nails, Shiny nails, Healthy looking nails. What more would I want from a cuticle oil!!

Let's be honest though -I would have never thought about picking up a cuticle from a store. BUT after trying this, I will keep on regularly using them!!! They may seem a bit expensive for some but if you enjoy wearing nail polish/ wear nail polish regularly then you might want to give this product a serious thought. You'll be amazed at how big a difference it makes!!!

I bought this after seeing it go up as a trial on Beauty Review as I really, really wanted to try it!

This nail and cuticle oil comes in a classy looking round glass bottle with a square bottom, and rose gold top, in which all of the new Argan Oil formula range is packaged. The bottle contains 14.7ml.

The formula is really easy to apply. The brush is flat and wide, same as the nail polish, and I love it because you can cover your whole nail in three strokes! You can paint the oil over your whole bare nail and cuticles, or over the top of your polish onto your cuticles. It does not affect your nail polish.

I often apply mine at night before I go to sleep. It really does make a difference as I get quite dry, hard skin on my cuticles and under my nails, and the oil definitely helps to soften it. You don't need to use very much either, and you don't have to apply it every night to see an improvement.

I definitely recommend using oil if you suffer from dry cuticles and nails.
