L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo Review

I love the Elvive range but have to say that this definitely isn't my shampoo of choice.

It's a great shampoo in it's own right, the smell especially is amazing. It just didn't achieve what I needed.

For a smoothing shampoo it didn't do a great job of what it promised which was a disappointment. Other Elvives I've bought have done a much better job and I do recommend them, highly.

I also found the product to be a tad drying which doesn't suit my scalp or bleached hair.

The good news is that Elvive is priced really well and I have been able to experiment and find which ones work best for me. Unfortunately not this one but live and learn.

I expected this shampoo to make my hair as smooth as a baby's bottom but I was disappointed. I have tried a huge variety of smoothing shampoos and conditioners because of my dry and frizzy hair, so I thought I had finally found something that would work. This shampoo did make my hair clean, but I wouldn't say it made my hair smoother. The shampoo didn't weigh down my hair which was a good thing that is usually hard to find in other shampoos. One thing I did notice is that my hair got oily and dirty faster than usual which is annoying because it meant I had to wash my hair more often. I personally like strong scented shampoos so I was a little disappointed with the smell which I personally found quite muted. Overall though it's not a bad shampoo and I would use it again, It is lightweight and cleans my hair but it doesn't carry out it's promise of "4 times smoother** for up to 48 hours* protection."

I've been slightly disappointed with this product and found it to be nothing special. My hair wasnt as smooth as it has been when i've used other products. The smell was a major off-put for me as it smelt chemically and i kept getting smells of it throughout the day, personally i like to have a yum smelling shampoo and conditioner. Overall this was nothing special and didn't make a noticeable difference in the smoothness of my hair...

This is a good shampoo, the only disappointment for me was that it is too heavy for my hair. While it did get rid of the "fly away" look, in doing so it held my hair down too much, making it lifeless. The product itself is lovely, smells nice and goes on well, but it is just not for my fine hair

This shampoo definately made my hair smooth a definate difference after using it, i did feel that possibley it made my hair a bit to smooth and hard to style, it could possibly be my type of hair tho.

I was left rather underwhelmed by this product. The packaging was attractive, clear and easy to read, and the shampoo was nice to use - foamed up well, didn't need too much of it, and smelt pleasant - it just didn't deliver the results I had expected from it. I have very long and wavy hair, frizz is a problem I battle with a LOT! I had high hopes that this shampoo (and the conditioner) would ease my frizz woes and tame my hair. It didn't. If anything, it made it worse - my normal shampoo does a much better job than this! I was disappointed with the overall results, and I wouldn't use it again.

I like the presentation of this product and the smell was very pleasant. I can't say I've really noticed a great deal of difference with my hair though possibly slightly less friz.

This shampoo is designed to smooth frizzy hair and mostly did just that. By itself the shampoo was okay, but worked extremely well when paired with the Smooth Intense Conditioner as well. Overall I would most certainly buy the pair again as they worked great for my hair!

I wouldn't say it really took any frizz away, but it did make my hair feel really nice and clean and easy to work with. It also made it look nice and shiny. If I blow waved it it seemed to be frizzier after than usual but if I towel dried it it wasn't. All in all a really nice product to use but not nessecarily for de frizzing use.

It smelt amazing and I liked the packaging. I have really frizzy hair and I found this shampoo didn't live up to my expectations I didn't find it very effective. But I did find It made my hair feel softer.
