Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Review

Baby Doll is an average perfume, I heard from others raving about it so I had to try it. I didn't find it to live up to the expectations and hype around it, the smell is OK but slightly over powering. Also the design of the bottle is annoying as it doesn't stand up.

I loved baby doll in my 20s. I bought a bottle recently (I'm in my early 30s now) and it's just not the same. It's still nice, and it reminds me of good times, but it's definetely a "backup" perfume now, I usually wear it when I feel like a change or I'm running low on my favourites.

I used to REALLY love this perfume and would wear it every day, its everything I would want in perfume, light, sweet and very girly. But I feel as if I may have out grown this now and I don't really reach for it anymore. Someone also once told me it smelt like toilet spray so I think that's put me off a bit too!

But I looooove and still adore this packaging, I think its adorable and sits so nicely with all my others!

The reason I bought this perfume was because LOOK AT IT. It's a spinning top!! I can wear AND play with it!! That, coupled with the pink perfume and golden lid, I knew I had to have it.

The smell is definitely not what I go for, I wouldn't buy it again. It's floral and kinda fruity, with a hint of spicy. I spray myself twice, sometimes thrice if I'm feelin' frisky. The scent comes out strong, but fresh, and settles easily. I don't smell it after a while, like most perfumes, but if I bring my collar to my nose I can smell it.

It's a very light scent, it's not heavy, and I think its perfect for teenagers using perfume for the first time or during summer. I don't think it's a very seasonal scent. Maybe spring, on the days closer to summer. It's an okay perfume but I wouldn't repurchase.

I am not a huge fan of this scent. I purchased the EDT 100ml for myself without having smelt it previously though so I can't really complain. It seems to be a relatively popular perfume so I was a little disappointed as it is nothing special in my opinion and doesn't really live up to the hype.

The smell is not unappealing just a little over powering for my liking. It is a floral fruity sweet scent with a slightly spicy note which is just not for me. Even though I didn't love the scent, it does seem to have a long lasting period for an EDT though which is good.

Finally, as much as I love the gorgeous bottle it isn't a practical design as it means the bottle doesn't stand up properly and rolls around, which is highly annoying and it has fallen off my dresser more than once (luckily not breaking).

As YSL a high brand name, I thought I would give it a go. The bottle is very cute, but other then that, the smell did not last very long. It was fruity and smells fun and flirty. After 10 - 20 minutes, it gives a really bad smell to it. Ended up giving this perfume away just because it was not worth it.

i am an absolute YSL lover.i love everything ysl but not this fragrance.i have tried it afew times but it is way too sweet and rosey for my liking.it would be perfect for a young girl.a very bright and floral perfume and strong scent of pineapple.to me sadly it smells like a heap fragrance almost like a room freshner. Not something suitable by YSL but i can definately see a young lady a wearing it. It last good 3-4 hours.the only thing i like about this fragrance is the packaging,beautiful bottle and the name.looks good in the collection

I liked this when I was really young, it seems like a teenager/tween's scent. So sweet and kind of sickly. I wouldn't wear it now as I'd smell like a kid playing dress ups

I was gifted some many years ago and the scent hasn't changed. Strong and fruity a bit too intense for me. The spinning top designed bottle drove me mad-it would never sit how I wanted it to (silly thing I know but it frustrated the hell out of me)
