I am happy with these palettes however, I am not blown away. I expect a lot from Wet n Wild shadows. The best parts about these palettes are the price vs quality you get really good quality for a low price tag. Furthermore, these are awesome for beginners as there is a guide as to where to apply the shadow.
I have two of these 5 pan palettes in Tunnel vision - (matte white, matte black, shimmery chunky, satin grey, dark grey with glitter) & The naked truth - (matte beige, matte dark brown, shimmery glittery light grey/beige, medium chunky glitter brown)
Formulation: These palettes have a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter shades. I have a problem with the glitter shades some have very chunky glitters; when applied to the lid all you get is glitters. But on the plus side I really like the matte and the shimmer colours.
Pigmentation: There is really high pigmentation on these shadows; not as pigmented as some of their other palettes but still really good.
Lasting power: These last pretty long on my eyes without a primer however for me they do crease. But I will say a lot of shadows crease on me. With a base these shadows are dreamy and last awhile longer.
Fallout: There is some but not too much Overall I am pretty happy with these palettes I would rather them not to have the chunky glitter shades but what can you do! I will definitely purchase more in the future.
Definite recommendation!!
For me I think these are the BEST value for money drugstore eye-shadows currently on the market!
I have the petal pusher and comfort zone eight shadow palettes and Knock on wood, silent treatment and sweet as candy trio palettes. I wouldn't recommend the ones pictured above (that were released more recently) as I have heard they are not as good as the original color icon palettes and trios but the ones I mentioned above....GO GET THEM!
If your on a budget (and even if your not) these are great staple go to eye shadows, which have never let me down. The color payoff with all of the shades (in every palette I own) is just fantastic. The texture of these is also lovely being buttery and easy to blend. You can get so many looks from these palettes and they contain great complimentary shades. I find the wear time of these shadows is generally great too and with a primer they will not fail you.
The packaging isn't anything amazing but that's to be expected with a low end palette and to be honest I'd rather amazing shadows than a pretty box which gives poor quality results. The packaging is functional and sturdy and closes tightly (even though it looks cheap, I would still be confident to travel with any of these, as the clasp is secure and the plastic thick and strong).
The saying you get what you pay for really does not apply with these. I think everyone should at least try these out once! Highly recommended and a product I will definitely be repurchasing!
Tips: Umm yeah...Buy some NOW! I got mine from beautyjoint, which is where I would recommend you purchase them, The trios are only $3.99 and the eight shadow palettes $7.99 (prices in US dollars)
