Not the fastest out of the bunch available

I'm always dubious when a top coat promises a quick or speedy dry but nevertheless I keep buying them as others disappoint or don't match up to the ones that do work.

This is how I came about holding this little bottle at Farmers one weekend, didn't hurt that it was 25% off Revlon so I of course had to buy something and this little fella begged to be picked up and trialled.

As soon as I got home I whipped off my current polish and set about putting on a couple of layers of nice new colour to be followed up with this top coat. I made sure that the colour layers dried completely first then popped on this top coat. Waited and few seconds and tested the first finger, which happened to be my little finger to see if it was still tacky or wet. It was still wet to the point that I left a fingerprint mark on it, so I blew on them for a few more minutes, then tested again, still tacky on a couple. So shaking them as I walked around for about 5 minutes saw them to be tested as fully set., so not really what I'd call quick dry.

The bottle design is good though as its chunkier enough to grip comfortably whilst apply if you have no where to set it down with the brush out. The brush was moderate, not too wide but did have frayed edges to mine that saw it spill onto my finger skin, not a biggy as it was a clear top coat but if it was colour it would have been messy.

Needless to say this little guy now resides in my manicure box with a few of his fellow kind that didn't make the grade, but he'll be used when others run out or to thin down clogged up polishes.

Not For Me

I got this in a Revlon Gift With Purchase bag, and needless to say I love nail polish so I was quite excited to try it!

It's definitely NOT quick dry though, don't let that fool you! It takes a couple of minutes to dry, but when it does the finish is quite pretty. It's not streaky, but it is a clear polish so it shouldn't be. I've found that with some clear polishes the colour bleeds a little into the clear coat, but this one doesn't.

After a couple of days mine started to become a yellowy colour (like it stained) and after the third day it already begun chipping, taking the polish underneath off with it.

I like the packaging, as with most Revlon polishes - as it's easy to use and it's user-friendly. The brush is the same, standard size as most Revlon polishes as well.

I'm not a big fan of this, so I probably won't purchase it in the future. I think there are a couple of better polishes on the market that dries faster than this one does.
